  1. I spent mine on summon since training that is harder than training herb or prayer. Each lamp is worth about 1.5m gold in prayer xp and 1.1m (super attacks) to 2m+ in herb xp. Gold is pretty easy to get though, so I would put it towards summoning since herb and prayer are buyable.

  2. No. Looking at the world map starting from the Rellekka fairy ring next to the slayer cave you run east up the mountain. After the first climing point there's a doorway that you enter. You run north to some steps and go up. You go up the steps again. Then just run down the hall to the ladder. It is pretty fast. It helps if you have slayer rings to teleport you there. If you have the crafting level you can have someone else craft them for you via assist.

  3. Yeah 85 is a good level. Stewing 4-5 levels takes some patience, but it's not hard. After you get the boost you can keep it by logging out every 45 seconds or so. That would open up extreme attacks, strength, and defense. I personally don't use extreme defense much, but I use extreme attacks and strength for combat all the time.

I got a lot of my level farming avantoe, turning them into super energy pots, and selling the super energies. I would advise against making recovery special potions. You're not saving gold, and you'll probably never use them.

  4. This method isn't afk, but I like it and if you have dual screens it lets you read or whatever.

You need a house with an elemental balance and you have to play in high detail mode. Get a mud staff and a stack of soul runes. Activate the elemental balance and adjust your camera so your "stun" spell is over the balance. Click the spell, hit f4, click the balance, hit f4, repeat. If you have it set up right you can just spam f4 and clicking. I turn my keyboard around and set it right by my mouse so that I can just alternate with two fingers on one hand and it will spam the spell.

That sounds great to me. :) Thanks

Edit: Just tried it out and it works perfectly. F4 + numpad 5 and repeat.

  5. You can also range them. Rune Cbow, anti-dragon shield, Broad Bolts, 8 antifires, 4 range pots I think. Then you take 1 does of a range pot every 2 doses of antifires. If you can get the full slayer helm that will boost your ranged damage as well. (or just a focus sight would be fine)

  6. Not sure if snapdragons are better profit. If you can consistently grow a large number they probably are.

You make more off avantoes and toadflax when the ranarr patches die. You make more off ranarrs if you sit and watch them. There are better things to do in RS than sit and watch herbs grow imo.

edit: might be profitable to do ranarrs. I just noticed their seed price isn't 40k anymore. I will have to check this out :)

  7. The only way to be sure they won't die is to check them or only plant them at Trollheim. The Trollheim patch will never die. I'd suggest farming either Avantoe or Toadflax. If they die it's no big deal, if they live you make a nice profit. I personally farm Avantoes and then turn them into potions. ATM I am making 4k super energy pots. :)

  8. For my house I have my portal chamber, altar, and quest hall (for glory amulet, maybe it was the skill hall?) all around the entrance for easy access. Everything else doesn't really matter for me.

BTW you can get a gilded altar lower than 69 with saw and evil stew. That's what I used. :P

  9. There is a pie that boosts farming too, but I'm not sure if it's better than cider or not. You should be able to use buffs to complete the quest, although if you're close to that level 1 or 2 more shouldn't be that much trouble. Just a tree or two. (or 1 tears of guthix)

  10. When you're cutting the bush it'll look like a plant then you just use a spade on it. I think it's pretty funny seeing people waste all this money on gout tubers. If the minigame isn't that hard for you I suggest you try it for a little bit. I got mine in about hour (probably less), and there's absolutely no data on how long it takes to get one, so that 4 hour average is just bs. Hell... you may stumble upon one just walking in since people can miss them or forget their spades.

BTW there is a garden leprechaun at the village if you forgot your spade. (Not much help if you don't have one stored with him though)

  11. Karil's coif yay :D

I might try running without the mage armor for more food and see what happens.

I've been meleeing Karil since it takes bascially the same time as me maging him, and less maging = more runes for more runs although I've been getting tons of deaths and minds. Either way it's more fun than maging.

How exactly does prayer and verac work. Does it cut his damage in half like players in the Wilderness, or does his hit through anything only happen once in awhile like guthan's drain?

I'm down to 2 prayer pots in my inv a run, and I'm still only using 3 doses. I guess 7.5k for a safe run isn't too bad considering I make a minimum of 30k a run. :)

  12. I would guess game is a lower combat level and gets attacked by the spiders... Yeah go for the great brain robbery, and then you can use prayer to cure poison.

    Other options -

The abyss. If you're a lower level you might have an easier time at the abyss since it's a low wilderness area.

Fairy Rings - Start a Fairy Tale Part II to get access to the rings, don't have to finish the quest. (Also don't need the herblore and farming requirements). This warps you closer to the altar, but I'm not sure if there are poisonous spiders in the area.

I've done about 20 or 30 barrows runs so far, so I'm still trying new things. Recently, I've switched out my guthix book for a rune defender. I don't think it will have any serious implications on my magic damage, but I do think it will make it easier for me in the tunnels & killing karil with melee (which I something I just started doing).

    So far I've pretty much went Dharok -> Karil -> Ahrim (if no/low prayer) -> 2 prayer doses -> Verac -> 1 dose -> Guthan -> 1 dose -> Toraq.

I'm managing 4 dose per run, and sometimes I only have to use 3. The only time I need more is when I have to fight Karil in the tunnels.

Other than having an overkill of prayer potions and a really weird magic outfit, is there any improvements I can make? :)

  14. I guess that works in a general sense, but it's not very direct. I'm level 65 and get 23 points, so I should be getting 22 if it's just 1/3 rounded up. (Checked without wrench in inventory).

Anyway Wrench can give +2, and if anyone know the level it starts that then let me know.

    From tip.it's prayer guide

Restores 7-31 points of prayer power (7-33 if carrying a Holy Wrench, reward from the Rum Deal quest)

  15. Ectofuntus will get you around 280exp per dragon bone, and a gilded altar with 2 lit burners will give you about 250exp per dragon bone. The difference is the gilded altar is VERY fast, and the Ectofuntus is VERY slow. I would suggest a gilded altar if you or someone you know has one. With gilded your looking at about 370ish dragonbones & with ectofuntus about 320ish.

edit: above post is pretty misleading. Ourg bones only give 2x more exp than dragon.

  16. Yeah the doors are better if you have the level...

My personal room favorites -- study for making tele tabs, chapel for the gilded altar, kitchen for construction tea & fast leveling until the doors, portal chamber for obvious reasons (canafis teleport super useful for barrows), the workshop for making flatpacks, and a quest hall to set an unlimited glory up.

  17. lol those were the skills I weren't interested in, but thanks anyway :) I think flyfishing is better fishin exp tho. The reason I don't want to level farming is I pretty much can do anything I want... which is grow ranarrs. Woodcutting gets kind of boring. :/ As for crafting... There's nothing really profitable until I get to the high levels... Even then the materials are pretty costly anyway.

I might do some agility and put my money into prayer. Level 70 should help even more at barrows :)
