  1. I realized there was't any kind of introduction on here so here you go. Welcome to my blog. I'll be posting updates on my new character (25ghosts) as much as possible. Mostly as a reference for myself, but also for anyone else who cares. I will also post stuff that I find interesting or useful along the way. Thats all for now. Be sure to click on the headers below to see the full content. [hide=Welcome to RuneScape! ...again (Click to read more...)] Around six months ago I took a break from RuneScape for the usual reasons. Tonight I decided it was time to give it another shot and I have to say I am quite impressed. I logged on to my old character and immediately logged out. It was time to create a new character and start from scratch. As many hours and sleepless nights that I had in my old character, I had had enough. Tonight's goal was a simple one. Make it through tutorial island and work towards level 30 mining. Much to my suprise I was able to accomplish both in a fairly reasonable amount of time. I was in the mine south of Varrock the entire night. First mining tin and copper, then advancing to iron once the crowd died down. I was at level 20 within what seemed minutes. I took what tin and copper I had in the bank and smelted it in Falador. After that I went back to mining iron and reached level 30 in no time. This fast leveling was a pleasant suprise after becomming use to the grind that comes with higher levels. I was also able to do a little smithing which is one of my favorite skills. I had forgotten how much fun a low level character can be. For me it was much easier to have a conversation with my fellow RuneScaper's, not to mention the super fast leveling! I'm pretty excited about this new character, although I'm not quite sure which direction I want to go with him quite yet. Feel free to give me suggestions. I hope you enjoyed my breif story of tonights adventures, however uneventul they may be. Until next time.... [/hide] [hide=Smithing, Smithing, and more Smithing (Click to read more...)] So day two of my journey I wanted to work on smithing. I had done a little on the first day, but I was mostly concentrated on mining. I set my goal to be level 30 by the end of the night. This first half of the night was spent in the mines south of Varrock mining tin and copper until the crowd fighting for iron was gone. After that I again headed to Falador to smelt the ores. I came back to Varrock and made some bronze plates and some iron chains and was to level 30 in around 40 minutes. As I begin to make a little money I think I'm going to concentrate on getting my magic level up first. On my previous character I neglected the mage skill and it was extremely frustrating to try to catch up when I wanted to do certain quests such as Family Crest. So thats where I'm at right now. I don't know how much I will get to play over the next couple days because I will be on the road. But I will try to get another update on here soon. As always suggestions are welcome. Cheers! [/hide] [hide=Lighting Fires Just To Watch Them Burn (Click to read more...)] Day 3 and most of day 4 were spent woodcutting and firemaking. I cut regular trees in and around the Varrock area and later moved to Draynor to cut on some Oak trees there. I am pretty sure this was the fastest skill I've trained so far. It honestly felt like no time at all. After that I started lighting fires. The wood that I cut took me to level 34 firemaking. I also had forgotten how boring and pointless firemaking is. Reminds me of farming. Overall a boring but productive night. As usual, here are a couple pics. [/hide]
