  1. Maybe the Spirit Crusher could have a -100 magic defense, blame it on the extreme spiritually depressive aura of the weapon... wouldnt exactly take something as valuable as a p hat into wild if it made you susceptable to ice spells? <.<

And regarding the stats of the Tyrant and the Elven Warlord... those two are really meant to be like super KQs. Not exactly something a sole person would solo, but give those big groups of friends that play together or clans something to think about... they are always complaining about how Jagex designs stuff more for individual people than the groups that do play, and since the games I played before Runescape had stuff specifically made for groups to do, I figure they might like a bone being tossed to them. (But Runescape is my first and only MMORPG.)

  2. And please don't be like the majority of #runescape and look at the drops without looking at the monster or the area it's in before sayign OMFG DUDE THAT'S UNREALISTIC.

Look at a brutal green dragon, and it's drops, then compare it to any of the things I suggested that they're mocking (specifically, the ancient Hunter and the Tyrant.) Are brutal green dragons in multi-combat with 50 someodd other creatures that can all triple hit you at the speed of a scimitar? I don't think so. Are brutal green dragons level 1200 with 2.1k hp that can insta-kill you if you're using wrong protection? I don't think so. So stop [bleep]ing at the drops without looking at the monsters or the areas they're in.

And some of these are more in mind with clans to kill. I don't see clans drooling over the thought of teaming the kq, it's all 2-4 man action. Would a clan think about teaming the Tyrant? Probably so. But no 2-4 man group is going to kill him, not without a dozen or so rounds of restocking (for one kill). And unlike the mithril dragon, you don't have to hope on getting a 1-1000 drop to even come out making a profit, you just need to kill it maybe five times, to make a slight profit after probably several dozen inventories full of sara brews and sharks.

  3. Also, the tip of the iceberg that is above 70 stat requisite weapons. Specifically, 85, and 90 with 70/85 slayer requisites respectively, as well.

I am also currently working on another idea for some multiple 95, and 99 stat sets of weapons/armor that'll be somewhat stronger than these mainly slayer-oriented items. Those'll probably again garner more flames than these ideas, but I love my intangible intellectual progeny nonetheless.

Slayer Staff (E) is acquired by the same method the Salve Amulet (E) is obtained. You must have 90 magic and 85 Slayer however, to understand the complex dialogue of arcane destruction within the final pages.

Location: A dungeon opens up in the tropics dead-end. (AIR on fairy ring) Inside, a long bridge-like area separating the main mass of hunter spirits from the beginning of the dungeon, where a lone lesser and greater dwell. The area is completely multi-combat. At the center of the main area, there are three ancient hunter spirits, surrounded by twelve greater hunter spirits of intermittent distance, with thirty-six lesser hunter spirits ringing the edge. Cannons cannot be set up here.

This area is considered more dangerous than any other, as there are no safe-spots and the potential to take a lot of damage very quickly. Luckily, the spirits are all very large, and occasionally will impede each others movements.

Flame as desired, comment with the "Jagex'll never implement this." as desired, just comment, eh?

  4. I like my name. I figure it's somewhat original.

And for those who don't exactly understand it, it's kind of an insult to the current age of man where other lesser things are valued above decency and intelligence and philanthropistic aims.

  5. I was expecting this! Usually people are more sombre when they create a title for a goodbye post, if they enjoyed the game (or malignant if not).

I myself have met a few in real life that I first met on the internet. May be a few months from meeting the next one, apparently Utah is rapidly becoming unpleasant for her palette.

A lot of the reactions on the first page where the ones I usually see to similar threads too. The impetuousness of youth, no longer naive as they once were. Sad what our cultures have become.

  6. I would say it depends on the person.

I've always been a rather short-tempered yet usually nice person, polite as long as the other person/people were.

I've not seen many "combat" pures be polite, hence I don't really hold the general aspect in high regard. I know a few that are fine, yes, but for the moment I consider them to the aberration in combat pures, not the other way around.

  7. If you resort to using legality to confirm adulthood you don't have a really firm argument.

You're an adult when you're mature enough to realize certain things, and act a certain way. To certain people that means different things. In certain societies it can be vastly different, as technology and the general stupidity of politics have numbed people from things that really matter.

  8.

Yeah, I can't imagine how many withdrawals they would have if Jagex updated every six months, which I wish they did, that way. MORE quality content, not stuff thats put together and worked on for a week. If you know what I mean.

Uh, anybody whose read the development diary knows that everything they release has been worked on for a month or more, it's just a week or so inbetween the releases.

  9. Forget the dogs, I am upset about this coal abuse industry. Melting them down to form bars to be used to create weapons of mass destruction? Absolutely disgusting compared to shooing away a disease-ridden vicious animal!

    /end sarcasm

  10. Attack:

It starts out horribly slow, because you miss almost every single time.

    Strength:

Same as above, excepy you start out going "OMG I hit a freaking 2!!! yessss"

    Defense:

Because it's less accurate than concentrating on attack, and weaker than when concentrating on strength, there's little "bonus" to actively training defense other than it's eventual ramifications. So, imo, no worst aspect.

    Ranged:

    Ammunition.

Prayer: The better bones take an annoyingly long time to gather. And unlike almost every other skill, you train at the same rate from level 1-99, there's no "Woohoo I can do this thing that gives way more exp that you can't do" factor.

    Mage:

Like ranged, the "ammunition" I.e. runes. And the armor is universally pathetic against melee, and generally ugly.

    Runecrafting:

Things at level 65 giving 10 exp... yeah, that's condusive to training. It wouldn't as annoying if you could get more than 53 raw materials a trip when you'll need a few hundred K for that next level.

    Construction:

Unlike every other skill, you can't make the resources yourself, you need npcs to make em. Not that condusive to training either.

    Hp:

Inferior xp gain compared to other 5 damage-causing combat skills, made up for by the fact all 5 of them can train hp.

    Herblore:

The massive amount of clicking. Perhaps universally rivaled only by the material gathering: Vial, herb, ingredient(s) for 190 exp max, yay!

    Agility:

The RNG "luck" aspect. Fail a certain trap 10x+, watch someone with 40 agility levels less pass it first try.

    Thieving:

Failing skill level 1 methods at levels 70+. Again, the RNG aspect.

    Crafting:

Since I acquire the materials myself, rather than buy them from other people, the fact that unless you do wool from 1-10 then flax from 10-99, you depend on other skills completely for exp.

    Fletching:

No string x. Absolute killer of wrists.

    Slayer:

Inability to choose tasks. "hehe, go kill 200 annoying monsters that require way more resources to kill than you'll make off killing them!"

    Hunter:

Everything is found in one place, and one place only.

    Mining:

RNG aspect between mining levels when competing for a rock versus someone else, RNG aspect when it comes to how long it takes to mine an ore from the rock (which only contributes to the aforementioned.)

    Smithing:

If you alch most things you smith (like I do), the horrible inefficiency compared to other skills (like fletching.) Cut 1 tree, pick+spin one flax, alch and make 1536 gp vs. mine 5 iron, mine 10 coal, smelt, smith into plate, alch and make 1200 gp. :/.

    Fishing:

Only thing I have to say about fishing is that the river trolls have [cabbage]ty drops.

    Cooking:

How fish are so much easier to catch than other things are to make and yet heal equally.

    Firemaking:

    Limited methods of levelling.

    Woodcutting:

    Dragon axeheads flying off, :(.

    Farming:

Same argument as crafting. unless you buy the resources, dependancy on other skills for any decent exp.
