  1. jagex needs an american to fix this problem, americans have always bailed out the uk before when they were in need , + theres more experienced americans in this field of work... runescape is the only popular game i know of that was produced in the uk..
  2. what will it take for jagex to fix this problem? boycot this game for 1 scheduled day? or all of us flood the runescape rant forum about this?
  3. i think runescape is tolerating member macros since theyve probably lost alot of customers due to other competitor games, we all the name the one that starts with W? jagex is trying to cover their losses by allowing macro members to roam about and ruin the runescape economy
  4. do you think it would be too harsh to completly ban every chinese internet domain from runescape? im sure theres some honest chinese players, but from china?
  5. is the reason why jagex doesnt want/allow us to rant about the macrooner problem on their forums because their fighting a loosing battle?
  6. i think the payment methods for memberships is the problem for the 10s of 1000s of member bots out there. Why doesnt jagex limit the ammount of accounts linked to the same credit card #? or to the same phone number used to pay for it? paypal account? 5 member accounts should be limited. wait.. better yet i just thought of this idea just now.. runescape should update their tutorial island to catch new bots there,
  7. theres too much fine details in remembering all the rules clearly.. ie: if you ask someone in the game how tall they are or how much they weigh is that considered breaking rule 13? several of my friends have been pernamently muted i feel sorry for them, i think i would quit if that ever happened to me. i suggested this appeal to a friend, he was black marked several times the same day/muted . "you were unaware/warned of the first blackmark received if i had been warned on the first offense i woudlve corrected my behavior"
  8. the bottom line is, game mods need to monitor the bot hot spots (ess mines, fishing, yew trees) ive seen moderators sitting still having idiotic conversations for hours so im sure time isnt a factor in doing this.
  9. something new has to be done.. i jagex souldnt spend too much time investigating obvious macrooners it takes too much time to investigate 1000s of the obvious bots out there why not just instant ban them? Jagex just wants us to "stay the course" of us reporting them and not do anything else. Do what you have to do jagex even if it means you loosing money .
  10. i dont believe the asian sweatshop theory.. i mean.. lets say theyre mining pure ess..it takes aproximately around 1hr to mine 1k p ess per "bot" maybe longer since alot of bots pause at certain spots for awhile. it would take a "bot" around 13 hours to make 1 million for them to sell for just $4- $5 it doesnt seem practical. They would have to supply a computer have it running using electricity , have a domain name /webpage to sell thier goods, internet access, then buy a $5 monthly memberships.. their thery doesnt add up! after all these expenses + paying the poor "sweatshop slave" wouldnt leave them any profit! jagex is clever at making up mumbo jumbo fictious storys in their quest storys they write this is probably just another one *bravo*
  11. the bots are getting rediculous in the pure ess mines.. in every given world at any time there is always more bots mining p ess than real players
  12. they take too long to get banned. How many of you here that frequent the fishing guild, mining p ess, cut yews (macrooner hotspots) have seen a mod or better yet a j mod monitoring this hotspot and trying to deal with this problem? easy fix, monitor the places where the new bots are training at(cutting regular logs, willows, small net fishing) if you catch them and ban them before theyre making alot of $ from sharks, yews they wont have any runescape gold to sell! jagex shouldnt take too much time and trouble banning bots/gold farmers why not just instantly ban every lvl 3 with a gibberish name thats wearing green pants, light green shirt and bald (bots favorite outfit)
