  1. SGS not needed...super energy because I like running all the way there :D Oh yeah, tab if you want Nowadays I'd probably bring 2-3 less prayer potions, one less unicorn pouch, and more food b/c of the darklight changes. A friend of mine has also been using void effectively there --- just switch helmets as you switch weapons
  2. Thanks, Mark :) College and scape and girlfriend and EH has kept me extremely busy and I just haven't had time to keep up with another clan. I am hoping to trim that magic cape soon ;) Only 2 per trip? I killed 40/50+ per trip :S Oh. Want to plan a run-in anytime soon?
  3. With the southern spot, I would take 3 unicorn pouches, idk how many scrolls (would just withdraw all but 1), 9 prayer potions, 1 super restore (for summoning points), and 4 sharks. It would take ~3 hours to do, and I'd get around 20 kills/hr like you said. I always struggle near the end of my first unicorn pouch, as I've eaten all my sharks. Is there any way to anticipate when the demon is about to change attack style? Even with 99 Defence and a super defence it often hits me for a high 20 before I can change prayer? Do you bring stat boosters btw? (Sorry for all the q's) No, you've just gotta be quick with the prayer shift. They should only hit you once before you switch. And no, I don't bring boosters.

  5. On November 26th, 2008, Jagex released the new Grandmaster quest "While Guthix Sleeps." With it, they released a new monster to kill, and a new weapon with a badass special, Dragon Claws. After doing the quest on the first day, I immediately set out on ways to kill them. I learned about the darklight trick and (ab)used it to my full advantage. I hallied them when they first came out, prompting them to change the demons to switch attack styles when they could not reach you with melee, instead of just standing there like an idiot. I then attempted a few times after they updated them again to shoot over each other, but had no luck. I would go every day though, trying to figure out new methods. I was extremely frustrated. A little while later a friend told me about a new spot, just south of the one I had been using. I experimented there, and found it was easy to lure just 1 demon to a spot where only he could attack you. Another one could jump on you, but could easily be hugged around the rock. Also much to my surprise when I hallied the demons from the spot, they resumed to their old ways of getting stuck trying to melee me. I taught many friends the spot, and helped many of them get their own dragon claws (Hi Ikraz ). I am posting this because today they have changed the darklight trick. You can no longer drop the shield while ranging or hallying. I cashed out all my dragon claws and bought slayer equipment last night, so I am pretty much done with Tormented Demons unless a friend drags me along. So, here they are. 10 Dragon Claw drops, 3 Ruined Armour Pieces (1 ls'ed to a friend). A few of the pictures have stories, so I'll put those here as well. After the claw pictures, I'll post my BoB, which I got from selling the claws. I also have the charms I got from killing all those demons. Claws #1. I went on a trip with Holychaos for a bit, he went and banked some loot so I decided to solo a demon while he banked. We kept lootshare on and he came walking up just as I dropped the demon. He got the claws... D: But, he was nice enough to sell me them for trade price :) (~300k at the time) As recompense for his generosity selling me the claws that he had received, I sold Holychaos this pair of claws for trade price. He lost them in a PvP deathmatch with another friend XD Dragonlordjl (some of you might know him) learned of my prowess/luck at Tormented Demons and wanted to get his hands on a pair of claws. I told him if he duo'ed with me and we got a drop, I would sell them to him at trade price. So, we got them :D With those claws, I believe he became one of the first people to have dragon full/plate/legs/claws/boots. So I decided to go with another friend who wanted claws...he got a shard. It gave me nice LS points though (~7-8M at the time) and I haxxed a clan Bandos trip for over 1M in regular drops. ------------------------- These next two drops are using 8309's Armadyl Godsword. I got the first pair on one of the last kills of the first trip that day, and the second pair on one of the first kills on the second trip :) Christmas loving :) This pair was with 5554447, who had gone one like 3 trips before with me and gotten nothing, so it was a nice surprise for both of us :) I had also been on a 200ish kill dry streak (armour pieces and claws) so it was nice to me, too :) This pic is my favorite, maybe because it's my last one, maybe it's because I was wearing my green partyhat, but probably because it was my last kill before I went to bed. I had been duoing with another friend of mine who was out of supplies (no unicorn stallions, ftl) and I told him if I got claws I would split them with him. I was talking on Ventrilo with him and a few other clanmates and I said "Alright guys, this is my last kill," and voila! So, here's the BoB: (Seeds are snapdragon. 3M+ cash remaining. Rest was spent on another 190k cannonballs and 1.2k Teleport to House tabs) Why the rune, you ask? I'm in Eternal Honour, a 10 top F2P warring clan. Check it out : http://www.eternalhonour.invisionzone.com/ Rate/Hate/Date/_____bate.
  6. 90 Blood Barrages, 2724 Ice Barrages. 166 Golds, 331 Crimsons, 70 Greens, 15 Blues per 1k Barrages. Also from a RoL'ed trip : 319 Ice Barrages, 15 Blood Barrages. 174 Crimsons, 68 Golds, 20 Greens, 6 Blue
  7. I've heard of them being used but it's not worth the time you've spent at FoG. You also have to switch into some other armor while luring or else they will degrade WAY too fast. Here's some more numbers for you, Andy. ~2100 Ice Barrages (only off by 50 at most) 125 Blood Barrages 772 Crimson Charms 374 Gold Charms 174 Green Charms 24 Blue Charms So, per 1k casts (Ice & Blood) : 347 Crimsons, 168 Golds, 78 Greens, 10 Blues. This is better than my last data set. :D I also effed up this trip by bringing 12k water runes, instead of 18k, so next trip should be closer to 3k casts. I also had another trip between this one and the first one, but it was cut short by RoL, so I didn't count it (only had about 100 crimsons) EDIT : I hate kids like this :(
  8. I'm doing some more barraging as we speak so I'll have better numbers in terms of charms/1k casts. I think this round I'm doing better in terms of numbers and I'll be able to stay longer ;)
  9. Here you go, Andy, as promised :D (Trip 1) 1,332 Ice Barrage Casts (69264 XP) 89 Blood Barrage Casts (4539 XP) +169,635 HP XP +243,509 Magic XP (Not counting the subtraction of the XP gained from casting.) +127,340 Defense XP Now if I had casted on full magic (which doesn't make sense for me, since I am 99 magic but not 99 defense) I would have gained 370,849 magic XP. With Ice Barrages costing 1,800 each, and Blood Barrages costing 2,598 each, that's a total of 2,628,822 GP for 370,849 magic XP, which works out to ~7.09 GP/XP. Keep in mind though that I am 99 magic, so the GP/XP figure will be a little bit higher. That also is not counting all the charms you will be getting :P I got 432 Crimsons 119 Green 14 Blue 276 Greens for a total of 324 Crims/1k Barrages. This is not a *great* value and I hope it will improve over time. I also hope I can get more casts in per trip, as this was my first serious attempt at luring all 9 lobsters. I think I'll be able to stay for longer next time, as I ran out of prayer potions and thus had to teleport. I'm going to be bringing proselyte top for luring which I believe will help out greatly. I'll report back with more figures later!
