if you build a room with a door against a solid wall what happens to the door space?

everyone seems to get like a clue scroll a day. what are you guys fighting and how many does it take for you to get a scroll?

Can you have more than one clue scroll at once? Like if I kill guards for an hour could I find more than one clue scroll?
