what skill do you find most enjoyable to train and why
tanjack23 replied to killjoyfuly's topic in General Discussion
Woodcutting! It's like the easiest skill in f2p and the only skill with a bank right next to the resources. (Draynor Willows) :) -
The contents of this message has been hidden. Not ready for this yet folks. :)

I generally cut yews at two places. (I'm f2p :P) 1. Edgeville: Close to a bank and not too much autoers. But if you're a low level woodcutter, this may be a little of a struggle as many members ranging from upper 80s-99 woodcutting and even I struggle to cut there sometimes. 2. South of Falador Gate: This is probably the second closest yew patch to a bank in f2p. There are 3 trees spread along the line and not too many high level woodcutters cut there. But the exception is there are some autoers walking around the trees auto-cutting. 3. Seer's Village (Members): If you're a member, then a great location to cut yews is Seer's Village. There are 3 respawns in the little area in front of the altar that is almost right outside of the bank. I hope this helps. :)

In my opinion, woodcutting would be the most profitable skill as there's simply rare trees, (Magics, yews) more than rare rocks etc. (5 rune rocks to around 20+ yew trees). It would also help your fletching and logs can be sell for quite a lot of money. :)

Show total XP when mouse over total level
tanjack23 replied to Screwball's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I support as I see a lot of level 3 skillers being called 'noobs' -
I would recommend you send a private message to the moderators so they can check out this person and do any appropriate actions. There is no point to post it in the help and advice as it really us not asking for advice. Play safe. :) P.S. I would like to warn everyone to also NOT go to that website as it is 100% likely that it is a password scamming website.

Monday Poll: How many skills have you mastered?
tanjack23 replied to MPM's topic in General Discussion
I haven't mastered anything, but as you can see from my signature, I am working towards 99 woodcutting. :) -
Hey Nickeley. The best way to discuss with a moderator about a locked topic or penalties is through Private Messaging. That way, it doesn't create a thread. This is also deemed as spam as it has nothing valuable about Runescape to be discussing.

Seers Vill Flax Field Macro-Prevention
tanjack23 replied to fakeitormakeit's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I support. I love this idea of a gate and might help slow down some macroers, but who knows how they will adjust their scripts. :P -
I hate to say this, but this would be considered as spam and it serves no real purpose to be discussing.

Greetings! There are many ways to go about making money in f2p, here are my favorite 2 methods of f2p money making I tell and recommend people to use. 1. The World 16 Air Company: The world 16 air company is a company made up by players that will pay you for helping them unnote essences and gain fast runecrafting experience. Here's how it works. You will need an air talisman and 25 essences *un-noted* to start with. Then, head over to World 16 and head to the air altar south and slightly west of the Falador south gate. Enter the air altar and look for people saying stuff like "Open 2k, open 2k = ess, open, etc.". Trade that person 25 un-noted essences and in return, you'll get 25 essences back plus 2k (2000) gp in which you may keep. Now, you can un-note the essence at the Falador bank and continue until you're satisfied. This is a great way to make money if you are bankrupt and have no money. 2. Skilling: Skilling means training on one of the many skills in Runescape ranging from dangerous combat ones to some very safe ones. Here's the ways to make money from each skill. Woodcutting: Chop yews at level 60+ woodcutting (60+ required, 75+ recommended) which sells for 300+ ea. (Note: Very heavy and famous skill for macroing) Fishing: Once you hit 40+ fishing (40+ required, 60+ recommended) head over to the Karamja docks and catch lobsters which can be sold for 200+gp ea. Mining: Once you hit 30+ mining, (30+ required, 60+ required for guild), mine coal in all various mines throughout Runescape which can be sold for 170-200+ea. -Note: Once you're advanced in skilling, the time it takes to make 2k will balance out from the World 16 Airs. This means you can make 2k faster than walking to the bank, un-noting the essence etc. Another way you could make money is merchanting, but since you didn't asked for it, I will briefly talk about it. The motto is "buy low, sell high". SImply go to the smaller trading worlds (3, 4, and 5) and buy and item for lower than it's usual street price and switch to World 1 (Major/Main trading world) and sell the item for a higher price. You will have to be patience as the higher prices will not attract too much customers, but eventually, you will get a trader thus giving you the profit. :) DO NOT beg for money as it will result in negative attention and just makes many people upset and tired of the spam. The more, the more you're not going to get it. -I hope this helps and have fun money making. :)

Also, I recommend people to use passwords with random letters and numbers that is 10+ characters and to avoid "Brute Force", you can also set a new password every couple of weeks making it more un-likely to be hacked. Make sure you write your password down if you do this otherwise, you might end up getting trapped yourself.

~~Newer Bank Of Runescape~~ **Updated again 05/15/09**
tanjack23 replied to Thagern's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Very nice Idea! I support. :) -
I do understand the fact that getting scammed out of bones is a big lost and it quite frustrating for you to watch the scammer walk away pocketing your money, but it will be kinda tricky because if you make big bones red, then then hill giants might be as well red and it will turn into an unnatural color. here's a tip to avoid getting scammed this way. Check the second trade screen. You never know if the stranger you're trading with is a scammer or not, so re-read everything carefully and make sure you're getting what you paid for. If you indeed, figure out that the person you're trading with is a scammer, hit decline, go to report abuse, and hit rule 2 to report the scammer to Jagex. :)

Are you p2p or f2p? If you're f2p, then the best way and will give the most exp is crafting tiaras from silver. The tricky thing is, silver takes a long time to respawn and it will still take some time to walk to Falador to bank your ores from the crafting guild. Alternatively and more quicker, but lesser exp is cowhides. Cows can be killed quite easily in the pen next to the crafting guild. Be sure to bring along some coins, probably like 10-20k and also, buy a couple of thread from the crafting shop (Around 50 or so) and simply kill cows, pick up their hides, walk upstairs in the guild and tan them, make them into hard leather bodies, drop, and repeat. I hope this helps. :)

Hmm, it appears it came off of some kind of error two days ago. Even I couldn't access the world switcher, forums, or the main Runescape homepage. It should now be fixed, so I am going to recommend that yu try it again. If you are still having problems, then feel free to post it again. :) Hope this helps.

~~A Little Suggestion!~~(30+ Supporters!!)

I support the 1st idea as my strength leveled up in the middle of a fight and in a split second, the message is gone making me miss the screenshot. -
Very Nice fakes. Good Job. ;)

I got killed by a level 9 wizard thinking I will own him at level 10 something and since he's green, I started attacking him only to see red splats with numbers up to 4 popping up and before I know it, I dies lol. :-w
-
A very fast way to get through this is to simply take a pickaxe, nothing else. Once you're attacked, click repeatedly on the rock and the ore should come out. Now you can get killed and you will keep everything. I do understand that this is rather an embarrassing way to do the quest, so if you want, I will be more than happy to help you out although it will take me a few hits for me to kill a giant and the place is crawling with them. Simply make a post here and I will add you to my friend's list. :) P.S. I am not going to be online until tomorrow I'm afraid.

Greetings! To access Crandor, you first must start the "Dragon Slayer" quest and when you're shipped to Crandor, run to the dungeon in the center of the island and continue down the path past the lesser demons. You will notice like a wall blocking your path. Push that wall and your character will remember the secret wall. Now, if you want to aces Crandor in the future, all you got to do is pay 30gp and sail over to Karamja. Now, on the east side of the volcano, you'll notice a dungeon which is the dame dungeon you accessed before. Simply walk west, push the wall, and continue down the corridor. When you reached the end, simply push climb up the rope. Congratulations...You are now in Crandor! =D> I hope this helps. :D

1. The difference between short and long bows is well, longbow = a longer bow and you can hit farther and shortbow is a shorter bow meaning you range shorter distances. 2. Shortbow Pros: Fast Somewhat accurate Cons: Cannot range too great of a distance More misses Longbow: Pros: Hits more accurately Range a longer distance Cons: Slower than a shortbow -I hope this helps. :)
