  1. If I am skilling and I DO NOT RESPOND TO ANY of your idiotic statements or questions, it does not mean I am a bot.

If I had a nickel everytime I got reported for being a bot, i would seriously be able to use that money to pay for my member's fees every month.

  2. To be honest, the "ranters" about the "bad" decisions that Jagex makes is just a smaller portion of the whole Runescape population. For every one of you, there are dozens who are content to play the game. So do us a favor, shut up and quit, because that is the only way to get Jagex to even acknowledge your existence is to not exist in their revenue.

Theres obviously lots of people who don't like the updates, but don't complain and just silently hate.

You can't look at TIF's and RSOF's ranting population and say they are the only people in runescape who hate the updates. Facts are many people may not want to rant, weather its wannabemodship, no access to forums, or simply the knowledge they have that jagex probably isnt going to change anything, regardless of what the players think.

It doesnt matter how many people do not like the updates. I do not like every update there is, but as an adult or at least someone as mature as a real 13 year old should be, have a choice to either play or not. I give Jagex 5 USD per month to play their game. Their game is not the end all of games out there. I have a choice and I choose to stay here because I find enjoyment in their product. And I am sure there are 10s of thousands even hundreds of thousands who agree with me.

What is quite funny is the amount of complaining, and the lack of action. And as I said in my previous post, leave and hurt them where it hurts the most, their bottomline. Anything else is just haters who want to be heard.

  3. If you do not like what Jagex is doing with their property, you can just simply leave. You have all the free will to do just about anything you want in cyberspace. But to still come around and whine just about everything in the world is quite annoying, but entertaining. I will be honest and say that it will be a sad day when all these whiners realize that this is not a democracy. The only say you have about Jagex's business practice is not to participate in a game you have deemed "unplayable" anymore. If you hate it so much, please do us a favor and stop playing and make a REAL statement. As soon as Jagex notices a DROP in their bottomline, then they will react and maybe listen to get you back and reel in your cash.

  4.

Why even create a place where NPC's attack you indefinately if you're going to ban somebody for utilizing aforementioned bonus?

Why shouldn't they? It's like making a string X. It's taking out some of the grinding, not convincing people to AFK.

It's more like bringing the wildy back in all its former glory and telling people if you attack ANYONE in there you will be banned.

Or making a string X option and then telling people they'll be banned for using it.

Why add a feature (being able to AFK) and then ban people when they AFK?

In all honesty I'm sure Jagex know alot more about this situation than I do, but from my limited knowledge it seems somewhat idiotic. But I'm no expert.

    1. No it is not.

    2. No it is not

    3. No it is not.

    4. Yes they do.

Please form analogies that make sense.

It's a good thing you give such great explanations for why you think I'm wrong  .

Please don't quote me again unless you're going to put some thought into your post.

Maybe you should learn how to create analogies that make sense... Obviously you didn't learn to read that part. Once you formulate some intelligent analogies, I shall deem your post worthy of a response.

  5. Example: A woman in combat will never be treated as equal by her male counterparts. And if she falls into a situation where she is in trouble, (even if she is capable of handling it herself) a man will feel obligated to bail her out, possibly putting himself in stupid undue danger and risking the lives of him, her, and possibly the rest of the squad.

That is solid BS. The large majority would not do the stupid thing and put themselves in danger. That stereotype comes from movies.

The vast majority of men are not intelligent enough think with anything but their nether regions. To you, you may feel that stereotype comes from movies, but I speak from experience. If you have no freakin idea what you are talking about, you should learn your place in this world.

  6. Where did the old Runescape go? When everything was not all about money to buy skills. When prayer wasn't trained by buying bones for 2k each then running to Guilded Alters with your war tortoise for weeks (or bull ant... or terrorbird).

Other than herblore and farming, I mostly DIY train. (With acception to my 56 construction which I speed trained because I thought I could be one of the first to 99.. then realized how expensive it would be... )

I know this rant is sort of falsified by the logical opinion of "people have every right to do what they want, it's just a game", but it sort of reflects the world of greed we live in.

Runescape is and will always be a peaceful place where I can just mine 1k iron ore and 2k coal, make 200 steel bodies and alch without having to worry about greedy merchants at the G.E.

It also upsets me when I see untrimmed fishing, mining, and WC capes. Not just because they're selling their goods for pure/instant profit, but because they could have manufactured ALL that stuff collected and gotten another skill to 99.

People do not realize the logic behind how easy Jagex made it to level up manufacturing skills. The reason why the XP ratios are so higher is not to make them buyable, that was not their intention, I'm sure! But instead, it gives people the freedom to level up in both skills, and have the choice to sell some of their extra raw goods if they wish.

Note: I am not claiming that every XP that I have on my account is DIY, and that I haven't bought/sold raw goods for XP or cash. I am simply saying that people could have higher resource skills AND their secondary skills if they played the game how it was originally meant to be played.

edit: Not to mention that for example... if you fished/cooked. You'd lose some of the potential profit, but you're still making pure profit anyways. And mining is better than wasting half of your investment in gold ore (since gold bars are like half the price of gold ores or something rediculous as that)

Take a look at your bolded text. That is a complete contradiction of your rant.

  7. (We all know you don't care.) I'm not really mad, just kinda steamed, about taking out the wildy. (This is still new to me because I took a, like, 2 year break from RS.) I was reading up about RWT and such, and I thought...

    Who cares?

I can understand not wanting memeberships paid with stolen credit cards, but how does that affect Jagex? If you steal a credit card and buy an espresso with it at Starbucks, does Starbucks have to pay for it? No. So taking out the wildy was all about RWT.

    But why?

I mean, sure, the right thing to do and such, but seriously. What's the problem? People buy their stuff. I don't agree with it personally, but it's no big deal. It saves them a lot of time by spending real money, a loss for them. Why didn't Jagex just ignore it? Why pick now to become courageous? If Jagex had never removed the wildy, a chain reaction would've never took place. People wouldn't hate Jagex for no reason, there'd be no trade limit.. no GE, which is a bad thing... but still.

I'm not saying RS is ruined because of the update in December, but I loved the old wildy pking, like when I was a noob. Grabbing chaos runes, running around, exploring with my clan... clan wars and such. it was so fun because it had that hint of danger. And Revnants are hardly the answer.

Revnants drop, at the max I've seen, like 200gp. They're some of the hardest (Non-quest or -boss) monsters in the game. I've seen a level 17 hit me with 20 through prayer with no armor on. They're dangerous, cheap, and instead of replicating the thrill of the wild, just make me angry and not want to go. Why did Jagex think it was okay to put in these monsters? To cheaply try and replicate danger? Whatever it was, someone was high.

The game is 100 times better to the majority of the RS population. Sadly ur in the minority that feels that they got cheated out of "their" game. Too bad so sad, you are a year late so expect 0 sympathy for creating a thread way too late. We couldn't care any less that you have been away for 2 or so years, that is not our problem. Please go disappear for another 2 years and comeback to complain about next month's updates.

  8. Hush, caped crusader.

Women of this nation (USA) are not obligated to join the draft because, well, they're not as genetically apt to physical strain that is all too common on the front lines. The draft IS for footsoldiers. The majority of draftees are sent into squads that serve directly between the terrorists and the rest of the world. They're the people who get shot and die. I imagine some with high credentials get drafted into technical and support, but most are sent to the front.

That in mind, no general can safely extend the draft to women, because it would not only decrease performance on the front, it would also be political suicide. Same thing goes for re-enacting the draft: no politician in ever going to be dumb enough to do it unless it is of an absolutely dire need.

Women can serve just as well as men do, but take a Valley Girl who's fingers text faster than the speed of light, and then take a Cali guy who plays football, and it's obvious which one is the better soldier.

If women want full respect and rights in the country as men do, which they really do, they should at least encourage legislation that would put them on the draft ticket, but I don't expect that to happen.

Rights only matter when you get to receive them. You don't want them so bad when it means you might have to die for them.

You are as wrong as wrong can be about a few points in your post.

    1. Women are as capable as men are in physical strength, and that includes physical and mental endurance. Women in the Israeli army serve as honorably in combat as their male counterparts. Why? because they respect their women.

    2. Your stereotype of a "Valley girl" not being able to perform as well as a football player is false. Although for most it is a safe bet that a more physically trained individual can perform better in an environment such as the military, I have witnessed more macho football players falling out of basic training than the prissy valley girls. Strength doesn't mean anything in the military, it comes down to endurance and mental fitness. If you have the mental capacity to endure it, you will succeed, many football players cannot get beyond the confines of a football field.

    3. I do agree with you about political suicide of any politician who would want to reinstate the draft. Unless the US gets invaded by a power greater than us, there SHOULD never be a draft.

Now, women in the US are combat pilots and they fly helicopters into direct combat, but they will not in any foreseeable future be allowed in the infantry. Women are as physically fit as men and have the capability to do anything in the military that a man can do. What keeps women from combat? Men. Simply put, American men are the most unsophisticated bastards in the world and feel that a woman is beneath him. And because of that, men will always try to be all macho and "protect" a woman.

    3. No it is not.

    4. Yes they do.

Please form analogies that make sense.

  10.

You really don't think Jagex is taking away from the gameplay? Did you feel as if the Duel arena update was great fun, like they told us it would be? How about PVP worlds? Is it great fun to kill someone wearing 40M in items and get an Amulet of Glory? You cannot deny that Jagex has proven time and time again that they have no problem sacrificing gameplay for a quick and TEMPORARY fix to RWT. To think this time will be any different is very wishful thinking.

Your whole argument here fails. Where is it that they took away gameplay by adding the PvP worlds? They have vastly increased gameplay by doing so. Now you can PK at your heart's content and not just do it in the wilderness, but in areas that were once deemed safe prior to the big update. So yes, gameplay is increased.

Now if you are inferring that the lack of gameplay is because you cannot make a profit or as large of a profit like you were able to prior to the big update, well that is just too bad. But to try to correlate the lack of profitability to Jagex killing gameplay is just plain stupid.

    You fail.

  11. You're such a hypocrite it's ridiculous.

Says the person who sent me flaming PM's and cried to a mod when I responded back. This makes you a double hypocrite. It's funny how you always initiate flamewars when you're the one who cries about them in the end. And at least I make relevant posts. How is being a hypocrite relevant to some people's actions causing innocent people to suffer? My point was that life isn't going to be fair in that context, so why should RS be an exception, but then you went on to call me a hypocrite.

Now how about you answer my question. What is RWT a "scapegoat" for?

He is not going to answer your question because he cannot. By debunking your argument at this point, he would be tearing apart his own "facts". So I would be surprised if he does answer your questions directly from this point on

  12. I can already see the people who were bad at PKing complaining in this topic lol. And I think it is pathetic when people say that the GE and the Trade Restrictions "Made people better". Rofl. They didn't make people better. There are still schemes, there are still merchanting clans, there are still all of the things there were before, except now everyone must participate in them, unlike before, when only careless people who didn't pay attention to trades got the stick. You can't change human nature.

Hobogoblin pie made a perfect point of something though. It wouldn't matter if every single player in the entire game quit right now. They would eventually all be replaced with new players, who never played before the update that casued everyone to quit.

I will be reading this topic, i'll look at all of the posts of all the people who were carless and got scammed, I will look at all the posts of all the people who were pathetic PKers, I will look that garbage and read their attempt to push THEIR OWN "narrow minded" view of the situation. If you need a trade limit to protect you becasue you can't pay attention to trades, maybe you should PAY ATTENTION TO TRADES, instead of pushing a trade limit on EVERYONE.

Anyway, all of the "art-holier-than-thou" people are wrong anyway, becasue jagex is doing this to get rid of RWT. Not to enforce bizarre moral codes. They did it becasue of the credit card issue, and not for any other reason. In that sense, the OP is incorrect. I WILL say that other games in the industry have handled this better, and are able to maintain PKing.

I am all for the GE. It has made life for me much easier and I am "forced" to make more money now when I sell my stuff. My time is worth more than trying to haggle with morons who have nothing better to do in life than to waste my time trying to haggle another GP or 2. I don't have the time for that and I am thankful for the GE for forcing me to make more money through selling. I used to sell my finished goods at a price that is so low that you would cry for not having the opportunity to get in on it while it was still good. Let's just say that if I was still selling cooked lobbies, I would be making and additional 75gp per.

The trade limit is a trade off. On the plus side, it stopped all the stupid "I got scammed" rants, but was replaced by the even more annoying "OMG RS died with the loss of the wilderness" threads.

But in all the GE did make player interactions better. Instead of just haggling with people, I can go skill after putting my stuff up for sale, and have real interactions with people on a more casual level than just hearing them repeat the same spam over and over again.

Now you always claim that RS died on that day of a certain update. So you think that the game is ruined because the game got enhanced for the majority rather than appeasing the small minority? But look on the bright side of things, Jagex has been actively giving you high quality new content that all the "hardcore players" the "pkers" should be proud of. Don't hate because your playing style is so one dimensional that you ultimately got phased out of the game. The game as it imitates life, is about the ability to adapt and if you are not strong enough to man up, don't go around crying about it still.

  13. Well, 3hitm4g3u, why can't they do a similar roll-back like they did with Summoning? No one lost levels. No one lost items.

Because it's impossible to track which accounts crashed because of this.

I am sorry but I have to highly disagree. I used to run a massive online game where several hundreds played at one time. We were able to tell as much as what buttons they pushed at what time, how long they held it, where their camera angle was, etc. There are logs for this. Like I said, they could tell who clicked on a penguin. They can tell who typed µ. They can tell who died.

    EDIT:

Plus, they would know which accounts to look into seeing as the victims could post for their accounts to be looked into.

Ok you you proved what? that you can log the activities of several hundred players. Runescape has what? A million or 2? And at one time 10s and 100s of thousands playing at one time. To do a query to get all of those who played during the bug would take a considerable amount of time. Then to tighten the query to only include those who were in areas affected by the bug.. the narrow a query to find those who were affected by that bug. And then do an audit on each of those logs one by one and then make a decision would take more time that it is worth for Jagex. The amount of additional labor, overtime and costs to do such a thing would clearly come as a cost to someone.. and I refuse to pay for that.

  14. Nope. What's the difference between losing connection from your internet dying and losing connection from closing the window?

i live with my mum wanna fight about it?

I couldnt care any less about who and where you live. And did i say one thing or another about who lives with who? Nah, but I would guess by some of the maturity of the people on this board that comprehension to such simple dialog is a challenge for some. I'll leave it at that.

  16. This is information that weighs in favor of my argument that this is not a racial thing. Even though I consider Obama my white President, and I will continue to consider him that until people stop considering him a black president. He is just Mr President.

    Why?

    why what?

Why do you consider him "white", when he doesn't consider himself "white"?

I really couldn't care about it one way or another, but as long as people are going to "praise" him for being black, I shall praise his other side of him which he is equal parts white. And I will do so until people start to just praise him for being Mr President.

  17. The New Deal by FDR was done in an age directly after WWI and right before WWII. War does wonders for a countries economy, but the Iraq 'War' has never escalated above that of a spat-like military engagement. You bring casualties up to 20 million, like the Kremlin suffered, and then you can talk war-scale. Besides, the world has changed infinitely. This 'New New Deal' is hardly what our economy needs, I think.

That is exactly why a stimulus package is needed. A New Deal type stimulus would be a bit much, i was just drawing it as an example. Money pumped into the country stimulates growth. Past stimulus packs did nothing that would actually stimulate the economy. Giving everyone a few hundred bucks to buy an LCD TV does nothing for the economy. But using that money to create government infrastructure jobs does wonders. Give a man a fish he will eat for a day, teach him how to fish, he will eat for a lifetime. Dont give out money, use to to make people money.

  18. 1st off, it is government spending that generate the economy. When running a business, one of THE most important reports run is the Statement of Cash Flow. Why? It shows how much money is moving. A company that doesn't move money is a company that will fail. Stimulis packages are supposed to throw excess money into the country in hopes that it will create jobs and generate a great deal of money flow which will cause a rise in the economy. The greatest stimulis packages ever were The New Deal initiated by FDR. With so many Americans out of work, he created jobs with the TVA when the Unemployment rate was 25%. The New Deal in conjunction with WWII created arguably the greatest economic boom in US history.

Now about Bush. He has "prevented" terror in America by inadvertantly bringing the war over to them. With the invasion of Iraq, insurgents who are mostly al-qaeda are busy fighting our troops. Now as a former soldier myself, I would agree that terrorists using "terror" against our troops is far better than terror against our citizens and my family. If I had a choice between seeing a soldier hurt or an innocent American, I would choose the former. And with our troops over in Iraq and Afghanistan, the resources of the terrorists seem to be dwindling. Gotta love accidental successes.

  19. This is information that weighs in favor of my argument that this is not a racial thing. Even though I consider Obama my white President, and I will continue to consider him that until people stop considering him a black president. He is just Mr President.

    Why?

    why what?

  20. well no i wont deal with it i dislike ge because its never right

Just because it is not a price that favors ur intentions does not make it the incorrect price. Its Jagex's game and whatever they feel like making up as prices is the correct price.
