  1. i find it funny when people critique other people style of playing xD

i could easily critiquize when someone tells to camp cave crawler for 200m slayer/agil/rc, and probably some more, it must be awesome being in the same cave for that long.

but for ones that suits, for others other things, no need to critiquize both

  2. if there was no xp cap, overall xp race would be way worse, as it would be like cooking vs cooking all day long, or wathever skill

with no xp cap, people like suomi couldnt make a goal to 'beat' the game, at least xp-wise

i understand what you say about rank 1, but i really think is better this way, and go for overall rank 1, its still open to compete ;)

  3. Obviously the more expensive herbs you farm, the better the yield of juju farming potions, so torstol is obviously the best.

However, even if you're farming other herbs, there's really not much reason to not use the potions, as they're realtively easy to get your hands on and have no negative effects.

So to answer your question, the best herb to use juju farming potions on, is all of them.

of course the best inst' all of them, that being said you just saying every herb is equally good... wich isnt

    farm torstols

  4. I've never heard the term drop chance used before.

For every monster with a set of possible drops D1, D2, ... Dn, each drop has a probability P1, P2, ... Pn of being selected upon the death of the monster, of being the drop actually given to the player. The sum of the probabilities, P1 + P2 + ... Pn = 1, because some drop must be chosen (though some monsters can drop nothing, that essentially means one of the drops is a null-drop).

As you have described it, you are incorrect in your definition of 'drop rate'. There is no number of monsters you can kill to guarantee a certain drop (excluding, obviously, bugs or '100%' drops). The same concept applies to something like a coin, where you might be 'unlucky' and flip tails a great number of times in a row.

However, as you kill more and more of a monster, the chance of never having obtained some particular drop D decreases. This is because if the probability of obtaining a drop D is P, then the probability of not obtaining the drop D, will of course be the sum total of the probabilities of obtaining any other drop, which is 1 - P (since the total probabilities is 1). Since 0 < P < 1, we have that 0 < 1-P < 1. The chance of not getting the drop D after killing a monster n times will then be (1-P)^n. Anyone who has taken algebra will know that repeated multiplication of a number between 0 and 1 results in a smaller number. Essentially, though 1-P (the chance of not getting the desired drop) might be very probable, the chance of not getting the drop a large number of times is not very probable.

It is often said that you might kill a monster a million times and never obtain the drop you are looking for. This is true, in fact the probability of not obtaining a drop D with 'droprate' P in a million kills will be (1-P)^1000000. Since 1-P is not zero, this quantity will never be zero, and thus always has a chance of occurring.

    Edited for clarity.

yeah all so good, but since they are indepedent events, not getting the drop will not make you have more chance on next one... it will be the same

it's like an dice, i want to get a 6, if i throw one time and get a 2, that won't make me have more chance to get an 6.... it will stay the same

  5.

Drop rate: The definition of drop rate can be put simply as the monsters you have to kill before receiving the desired item. I.e, there is a linear relationship between amount of desired item and amount of monsters killed. So say if the drop rate of a bronze dagger by a goblin is 1/5[example, not real data]. This would mean every 5th goblin i kill I will then receive a bronze dagger. It can't be the 1st, 3rd,etc-only the fifth.

this is so wrong!!! 1/5 doesnt mean, 5th kill is drop, means that in 5 kills one of them is drop, but we can arrange that in different ways and still be 1/5

    D = Drop

    N = No drop

    DNNNN

    NDNNN

    NNDNN

    NNNDN

    NNNND

and you can mix up them, to an event of 5k times, to have k D, but not necesseraly they need to be spaced up with 4 N's

you could have all D's first then the rest N's, and so on..

  6. You can kill 200-250 black demons an hour without a cannon? Please share your secret method?

oh, sorry, didnt slay for some time, actually its one and a half :S your right xD

  7. You need to value your time extremely low to not use Taverly + cannon or CT + titan even with bots - it's 3k per ash, and 100 kph?

well, i can do a kuradal task banking ashes with yak with only 1 yak. so more then 100kph

  8. honestly all pro defenders i've seen on world 6, are sub 100 or 110, usually look for people with full penance to do your team, on most cases they are good to go, ignore they combat lvls ;)

only for atker, try to pick up some random 138 saying he wants to be an atker, its an easy role after all

  9. Effigies definitely. Also rings of different charges, 7 slots from duel rings, 7 slots from games necklaces, 3 slots from glorys. etc...

actually 8 slots for duel rings and games neck, 5 slots for glorys, now that ring of wealth has teles to same thing, more items like this you can get

pots as being said, could make 1 item of each from bronze till steel.

get all your costume rewards from easter and such. costume from randoms.

  10. I did not say the requirements were simple. I did, however, imply they were more than adequate for the most outrageous, amazing, and most useful cape in the game. If that cape was more easily obtainable and those same perks remained, it would be waaaaaaaaaaay overpowered and would simply end up getting nerfed anyway.

So do you want it easy to obtain? Do you really want it to be yet another worthless item in the game?

The choice is pretty easy for me...

So how exactly does that translate to combat lovers being 'disadvantaged'?

What requirements are you talking about? My suggested requirement for a cape with Comp's stats?

And i fail to see how it would be overpowered?

Combat lovers are being disadvantaged because every item or monster relating to combat always have requirements for skills that you don't want to do. You shouldn't play Runescape to do something you dislike. However, i realize that to get monster spots or combat items i often have to do Quests and Diary tasks and similar stuff. And Combat players shouldn't say anything much about those kind of requirements...but to complete 90% of the game only for best cape with stats is beyond what you should do.

It should be given to all players with 99 in all combat skills (99 slayer included) and 120 Dungeoneering. Those requirements itself are very hard. And if you begin playing Runescape from scratch it will take you a loooooooooooooooooong time. It will even take for me a long time, to reach 120 Dungeoneering.

And this is just me hyptoethcial speaking (excuse my spelling); Ok, Combat lovers must accept that they will never obtain Comp cape for it's stats. What then? Will Jagex release new capes that will be better? Or will Jagex restrict the future capes stats to be less than Comp? (Stats wise only, no cape with a twist).

I understand that Runescape works in the way that you have to still do skills you don't like to obtain combat items or monster spots. But to complete 90% of the game just because i want the STATS only of a cape? Man...Disappointed to see that i am only one who has this perspective about the stats of Comp cape. :-#

P.S I stopped playing a while, and the way Jagex is going i don't think i will be in future either. I guess only thing interesting left in Runescape to me is Zaros storyline :shades: (Youtube Quest guide lol).

i don't think that stats need to be locked up, since comp cape it's like quest cape, you need to be upgrading the requirements to wield it, stats can get upgrades as well, so if a quest or wathever give a cape with more stab, or crush, or range or ... comp cape can get an upgrade as well, since it will need the ability to wield that one.

and for your combat cape, JUST NO.

why should the best items just be easy to get?

did you ever make a thread saying that ardy cape, shouldn't need some skill requirements to wield...

did you ever make a thread saying that nomad cape, shouldn't need some skill requirements to wield...

did you ever make a thread saying that ava accumulator, shouldn't need some skill requirements to wield...

probably not, becouse those you could do,

now when you can't, you just complain...

oh and btw, whats your position on herblore? and on dungeoneering? and on firemaking?

  11. Finishing the Phoenix Lair D&D is a decent way to get craft/fletch and some other random stats I can't be bothered to look up right now.

Other than that, killing an assigned monster on controlled while cannoning would be 6 stats (atk/def/str/hp/range/slayer). You can also perhaps time a familar scroll just right.

Since you can cannon pretty much everywhere, you can probably add that to any method.

add a familiar that use magic attack,

time a wine to ferment for cook xp

  12. still you just speculating max xp rate, you don't even know if 85k its really the max.. they may have got that with mystakes... and so on.. not saying that its more or less, just saying that on the point you use that as your max wthout further research, your just speculating that it is indeed the max...

and i never talked about the xp from lava mining but there is evidence that back up the mining bonus xp outfit, that was the first thing i pointed out to you

"will reward you with parts of a golden mining suit, the full version of which grants a 2.5% Mining XP boost. (Think of it as the Mining equivalent of the lumberjack outfit.)"

and said that should be considered to your calcs of mining xp rates at lrc

now since we don't know how that suit works

we can indeed speculate that it works similar to lumberjack, and as proven that varrock armor boost its better then the full outfit, ignore the top and count just other parts similar to lumberjack

then you will have a new hypothetical max xp rate, that should be considered for all around speculation of new mining xp rates.

  13. don't matter if i trust or don't

all i'm saying is that you are speculating... thats all, don't try to misslead the argument.

oh and now i understan why you edited your post, found this on your site:

    1. ( when tr, takes a clause as object ) to conjecture without knowing the complete facts

probably you readed till end after you posted.. that's a think you shouldn't do on your life, sometimes will lead you to bad paths,

    stays here the advice ;)
