  1. I heard that the rate at which it degrades depends on what are you fighting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDoqylS9a2U
  2. I'm f2p and yes, we do have a 1-click bank at duel arena, but I always superheat at ge because I am fliping over the ge. I also heard that superheating with a coal bag is slightly faster then without it.
  3. You can superheat at most 5 bars per inventory.
  4. What is the best way to superheat runite with a coal bag? How many superheats can you do in an hour with a coal bag?
  5. Well, the shield costs 400k tokens and the ratio is 1 token per 10 exp rounded down. So you should get it at about level 87 to 88 , if you don't buy anything else, which I think most people will, and the ratio doesn't change at higher levels. So, I don't thnk there will be a whole of lot people with those shiels running around anytime soon. Also, with these new coal bags, the demand for coal might go up a bit, as it might encourage people to smelt and superheat more, and I don't think, that the bags are going to make that much a difference in supply seeing that most coal probably comes into the game through MTK. Actualy, looking at the ge graph, it seems, that coal just started failling , but I think it's just people panicing and thus making it an even better opportunity to buy. Anyone agrees with me?
  6. Santas just rose for more then a mil, for the first time since the rebound after the buyout. Is there going to be another smaller buyout, or is it just incresed demand? Also are h'ween masks ever gona drop in price?
  7. Are santas going to stabilaze, or is there going to be another crazy buyout?
  8. Here is how I think it works: Basicaly, there are 2 prices: -the street price -the exchange price Junk has some exchange price and no street price, where as some items (partyhats, risings,...) have a street price higher then than their exchange price. The basic idea is, that when you trade, you balance the trade in both the exchange price and in the street price ( by selling or buying junk to/from another player). I think, that these are the basics, although I am not sure, so if someone could explain in more detail, if I missed anything.
  9. I bought 2 of them at minimum instantly about 4 hours ago.
  10. That is exactly why I am sad. I could of sold 3 santas for 200M, wait for them to drop and buy 4-5 santa. Here's what you don't want to do: Sell for min as soon as they start selling again in GE. I always think of santas and masks in relation to each other. All are crashing right now because they had gone ridiculously high. But my opinion is that the santa will come back sooner and stronger than the blue and green masks. Those babies have a long way to fall yet. Every newb who could scrape his 76K-won cash together bought one on the way up, and I expect them to dump like crazy. Thanks for the advice, I will hold on to them to about July or sell them before that, if the prices are good (hopefuly, they will rise before that). Also can santas/masks be flipped like other items if you have the cash and they are stable?

  12. Santas are going to rise back right? And, if they will, will they rise before or only after the weekend?
  13. This. As MHL said, people are freeing up money for this weekend to invest in summoning and herb. Therefore there is practically no demand for those items and people are trying to sell them to gain the cash for the weekend. Another example is that of the "God Armour" Bandos is going down by 1m a day and Armadyl is down 700K each today. AGS down 4m today, SGS down 3m today, ZGS down 1m, and BGS down 1m. Yet another is the Arcane SS which is down 3.5m and BSS is down 266K. and DFS is down 1.4m After the weekend they'll head back up. But how will they 'head back up' when those people have spent all their money on the weekend? I see this as a good artificial deflation technique by Jagex. It has done what we all wanted for so long. Raw materials are sky rocketing, and expensive's and rares are plummeting. From what I have been able to grasp, deflation is only countered if money leaves the game (buying from a shop, ...), where as if you simply trade resources you just distribute the money between players. I might be totaly wrong though, so I would appreciate it if someone with more insight on the matter would enlighten us.
  14. How did they crash? They are still going up in ge. Did I miss something? Here's one example. I imagine they'll go down to at least 40m. They crashed because of the double exp weekend, yes? If so, will they go up again soon?
  15. How did they crash? They are still going up in ge. Did I miss something?
  16. A group of players completely bought them out on the ge, as far as I know it was the first successful santa buyout since the ge came out. Are they planing on dumping them, or just sit on them for some time ?
  17. Concering santas, how long is this rising going to last and could someone predict the price they are likely to reach ? Is it possible they will reach 80m without crashing? Also is someone buying them out, or is it just increseded demand, or is it something I missed totaly ? Also, are h'ween mask buyable in g.e. without snipping?
  18. Actualy you use about 60% of run energy per trip to earth altar, so I just rest at musician to get me back to 100% and I get to him once again when I have about 40%. But seing you figures are probably for resting from 0-100%, I will time myself and recalculate. I would apriciate it, if you would do the same for airs. Edit: I timed myself doing 5 trips to the earth altar and I got 5 minutes and 58 seconds. That gives an average time of 71.6 seconds. I was paying full attention, so someone multitasking would get lower rates. Here're the recalculated values: Earth runes: 56268 earths => 56.268 earth gloves => 4220 FoG tokens = 31.3 hours for gathering tokens for gloves 56268/26 = 2164 trips to altar => 2164 * 71.6 s = 43.0 hours Total time with earths = 74.3 hours Money values stay the same. Edit 2: Also timed myself for airs, I was able to do 5 air trips in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. That's an average of 54 seconds per trip. Again, here are the recalculated values: Air runes: 73148 airs => 73.148 air gloves => 5486 FoG tokens = 40.6 hours for gathering tokens for gloves 73148/27 = 2709 trips to altar => 2709 * 54s = 40.6 hours Total time with airs = 81.2 hours Again, money values are the same. So while the airs are better then my in 1st calculation, they are still a bit worse then earths. Also, if someone was to do airs, they would be better off not playing FoG at all, as the times for rcing and FoGing are identical, it would just halve your profits. Also, crafting earths without FoG gloves would take 86.0 hours and you would gain 6,724,026 gp from selling the runes and paying for the ess. The teleportation cost would be doubled so the final profit would be 5,477,562., which is double that with FoG gloves, so basicaly you are paying 2,738,781 gp to save 12.7 hours. This gives you a value of time of about 215k/h. So, if you make 215k/h or more, you should use earth gloves. Personaly I use them since I value my time over 500k/h (runite mining and merchanting). Again, I must emphesize, that this is based on my levels, so it might not hold true for someone else.
  19. Okay, so I did some calculations and this is what I came up with : Here is my starting data: A trip to earth altar takes 92 seconds. A trip to air altar takes 74 second. All the costs are based on mid ge prices and buying your ess. I will assume that if I was to craft airs I would craft 27 ess per trip as I would only have to carry law runes with fire staff equiped. I can get about 135 FoG tokens/h. I use mith or addy arrows in FoG, but I will neglect this cost as it is very small. From my current level (65) to level 75 I need 731472 exp. To get these exps I will need to craft 73148 air runes with gloves or 56268 earth runes with gloves. I will use 7.2 as average multiplyer for air runes and 3.75 for earths. Air runes: 73148 airs => 73.148 air gloves => 5486 FoG tokens = 40.6 hours for gathering tokens for gloves 73148/27 = 2709 trips to altar => 2709 * 74 s = 55.7 hours Total time with airs = 96.3 hours 73148*7.2*15gp = 7,899,984 gp gotten from selling air runes 73148* 64gp = 4,681,472 gp paid for rune ess 27097*328gp = 888,552 gp paid for teleports Pure profite = 2,329,960 gp Earth runes: 56268 earths => 56.268 earth gloves => 4220 FoG tokens = 31.3 hours for gathering tokens for gloves 56268/26 = 2164 trips to altar => 2164 * 92 s = 55.3 hours Total time with earths = 86.6 hours 56268*3.75*33gp = 6,963,165 go gotten from selling earth runes 56268*64gp = 3,601,152 gp paid for rune ess 2164*288gp = 623,232 go paid for teleports Pure profit = 2,738,781 gp So there you have it. Earths seem to be better in both time and money, but that might change at different levels. Also I have quite high combat level so someone else might get less tookens per hour. I would appriciate it, if someone would check my calculations.
  20. I have 65 rc and I make huge amounts of money from flipping and investing so I don't care if I lose a bit of money :P Thanks for the answers.
  21. Is it faster (in exp/h) to runecraft earths with varrock teleport and FOG gloves, or is it faster to runecraft airs with varrock teleport and FOG gloves? Also what are the average rates for the two? Atm I am crafting earth and getting about 15.5k/h with gloves.
  22. The Grand Exchange updates every 12-36 hours and while some people sit at the GE all day and watch price screens to change to get the best sniping, others have page monitors which watch the Grand Exchange beta page and send an alter once the page has changed, aka the prices have been updated. It is then that they commence to spam offers for whatever item they want and they check if the price of their items has updated. If it didn't, they have no chance because of the earlier offers already in, if they did, they now have a chance to get whatever item it is because they got an offer in early meaning they will be earlier in the line of offers. The GE works as first come first serve if it's for the same price, by the way. Are there some set hours for this or are they random ? And if they are set could anyone please list them. Also, where could I find one of these page monitors ?
