[exp rates in f2p]

Hey, due to next year being my last year of school I have decided to put school before runescape (I did already but next year it will be to a greater extent). So I was thinking about getting all f2p stats 70+ which is just smithing, mining and rc. I was also thinking about getting fishing and range up.

I was wondering about the exp per hour rates at these places:

 

Ranging Ice Giants with bronze arrows: Forget ice giants, ranging flesh crawlers are better exp/hour, at about 30k-ish.

 

Fishing lobsters on karamja: Forget lobsters, fish trout/salmon using feathers. About 25k-30k exp/hour, I've heard.

 

Power mining iron: With rune pickaxe, roughly 30k-35k exp/hour.

 

rune crafting airs: Forget airs, earths with gloves are better. Earths (with gloves): 13.5k exp/hour.

 

cost of cheapest method of getting 70 smith: Steel bars make profit if you buy iron and coal ores. Not very good exp/hour though, about 10k-ish.

thanks for the infomation. I only want to know the exp for lobsters though because I can do homework while fishing and I don't have to worry too much about whats happening on runescape.

Why not use your cash to buy 99 range in p2p? It doesn't take long and you'll be using up money that you wouldn't usually need in f2p.

99 prayer killed my cash pile and am currently 10m short of chinning to 99. If I make more cash I will get before I go f2p but if not I will just get after next year. I'm not in any rush to get 99 range it was just something to do in f2p.

I can tell you that ranging Flesh Crawlers/Giant Spiders is the best ranging xp (look to my combat guide for more info) and gets 30-35k xp/hr.

 

Powermining Iron technically can get up to 42k or even 45k xp/hr, but more realistically you should expect to average at 30-35k in f2p.

Thanks for that! Looks like 99 range would take me way too long. iron on the other hand won't take that long so I'll defenetly be doing that.

my work from yesterday:

I did 30 chests and thats all I got. After logging 50 chests I decided to calculate the amonut of cash I made and average cash per trip. total cash: 6.15m. average profit per trip: 123k. barrows item drop rate: 1/12.5 chests. I'm not sure how long a trip took me but I think it was about 10 minutes therefore making the gp per hour at 750k which is pretty damn good.

 

I'm taking a small break from barrows and am doing a tad bit of slayer. Will post a new BoB soon.
