It also costs over twice as much, and you look like an idiot because instead of using Dharok's Helm you're using a Guthan Helm, negating a good set effect just for a misguided sense of fashion :lol: . It's one of the most hilarious paradoxes I keep running into. Self proclaimed elitists suggest we use something more expensive, and less effective, instead of going for the better deal of cheap armor with the best defense stats in the game, which is what an intuitive elitist would normally do. Thereby wasting time, money, and HP catering to the bigoted standards of other players :roll: .How can you claim to be so experienced, and yet not have the slightest idea of what you're implicating by suggesting we use this armor combination. That, oh wise one, is the definition of "noob". But I don't mean to be offensive, on the contrary, you have my deepest thank you helping to spread such stigmas, it makes Torags just that much more original and helps to keep my win/lose ratio at the Duel Arena in a more than acceptable percentage. :twisted: And to all who have supported and shared constructive feedback, thanks for posting I'm glad to see that most everyone here agrees with me. :

I'm normally not irritated when people try to criticize me for wearing Torags, but lately (since the update it seems) people have been giving me an unusually hard time about it. I have no proof that the dislike for Torags in Runescape has increased in the majority of players, but to me, it seems like it has. Their comments are always half wit, but I get them so often now it's starting to get irritating. :wall: So, unfortunately I've committed a few hours of brain time trying to figure out "why"? Why are players so biased against this armor when it looks great and (correct me with proof if I'm wrong) has the best defense stats in the game? Is it because it's so cheap and yet so good especially when mixed and matched that in the opinion of other players using Torags is just a case of gross 'noobish' indulgence? As opposed to toiling away making millions for more expensive sets and spending a few hours learning how to work with and around the relative set effect; I notice people will usually buy several Barrows sets to fit different situations instead of buying Torags, which is the best all around melee set I think. Or is it just an old, nurtured hatred for 'tanks', and Torags because of the high defense stats is seen as 'tank armor'? Most people who make a negative comment about Torags are wearing a torso and dragon legs, obviously favoring strength boosts over increased defense, thinking anyone who favors different tactics is a noob. I've also noticed that the popularity of fighter torsos has exploded both as training (I also get more people ridiculing me for training in rune now -.- ) and PK armor, probably leading to an increased stigma against anything with decent defense bonuses. I think it's both this way of thinking and the above suggestion combined. Any thoughts? Or does this not even seem like a problem to most of you? :?
