  1. Isn't it a coincidence that a kill looses 26%... 26k Tricks maybe?

People would often log 3-4 kill swaps when doing the 26k trick, with the fourth ussually being of less value. This goes along with this data.

Now, is it better to kill swap, or is it better to pk, as you might have a better chance of gaining the other person's drop.

Yeah, this goes in line with what I heard about it - except you know exactly when you will stop getting good loot.

  2. Good, only offers made during the glitch were affected, and same to lent items. Makes me feel better. I was under the impression that offers were randomly wiped, but this makes more sense.

    Lesson of the Day:

If you must log in after an update and find out theres glitching going on, then either log out or go hide in some corner of the world (normally I would say POH's but I guess that wasen't an option), like RuneCrafting alters or something. Don't trade, don't bank, don't lend. And don't expect Jagex to roll back 37 minutes of rampant glitching.

Supposedly items that were supposed to have been returned during the time period that it was glitched didn't work either - which could have happened to items lent last night.

  3. I think the simple solution is to let f2p use most pots.

I was thinking just now about ways to reduce the glut of potions floating around. Making these f2p-consumable could be a quick fix, if they are willing to buy. I have always looked at f2p as mainly the suppliers of raw materials, not consumers of finished products. Perhaps my view is outdated.

Here's an idea I will throw out: double or triple the amount of XP given for making a potion. This will have a positive long-term effect - people would only need to make 1/2 or 1/3 as many potions to get their skillcapes. Eventually, demand would catch up with supply and the glut would be whittled down. At that point, normal market forces might keep potion prices in line.

    Could that work?

Er, that would help the market issues, but infuriate farmers and those who got 99 herblore before the update - it would basically make Herblore 2 or three times easier to get a 99 in.

  4. At least it wasn't metal dragons. I liked when I got Bloodvelds consecutively which happened quite often.

I like metal dragons and hate bloodvelds. Care to trade?

Though I always get something like Scabarites when I'm about to get a streak... :wall:

Those are one of the best tasks in the game :XD:

But if you don't like them, remember you can block them.

It'd be a good idea, but as I said, whenever I'm about to get a streak...

You don't lose your streak if you block/cancel with points...

  5. Looks like a really fun quest to get me back into the questing mood.

So its now 20 penguins points per week? If so my summoning is going to hit 79 quicker then I thought.

The exp isn't amazing, but those are skills I rarely train so its not bad at all.

Whats the difference between the expansion and the bonus?

One's for the Hunter skill, one's for the DD.

  6. 600xp per pouch, yeah, ok.. but only 5 pouches a day :(

Combined with bork that's awesome :D

Not really. Bork is alot more xp, it's actually worth the walk there each day. With this, i'm not sure. 5 quills a day = big wow :| Can you really be bothered fighting your way through the monsters each day?

O/T - will the new monsters be slayer tasks?

Doubt it. You can only fight one phoenix a day, and I don't think you can get into the cave afterwards. Granted, I didn't try...

  7. The tablets kill, literary kill the runecraft skill!

It's now way easier than cooking to level! Now what's the point in raising it? The whole spirit from walking and finding the fastest route is gone - it's destroyed.. No more clever thinking about finding new methods/shorter paths.. Now it's just click - craft - click - bank -click -craft -click -bank - etc

probably around 300K xp, making it the fastest skill possible.

Ugh. People bashing an update without doing research. Yes, once you have the tablets, it will be comparable to cooking for leveling. But remember a) The RC xp values are small to begin with. B) It takes time playing the minigame to get those tablets. They're untradeable and can only be bought with points.

Granted, you get about 10 tablets per 10 min game, but it's still not the end of the world.

  8. All I know is that if it makes RuneCrafting ridiculously easy, even at low levels, I'll be pissed. RuneCrafting is supposed to be one of the tougher skills, not like thieving or something along those lines.

Thieving was supposed to be a tough skill before PP.

  9. The quest heavily reminded me of Zelda: Oracle of Ages. In that game, you could go back and forth between the past and present, and both worlds were fully made. Doing something in the past, such as planting a seed or destroying a path, would have effects in the future, such as opening up a climbable wall or changing the terrain.

That was what this quest reminded me of, and I hope there are many sequels to it with similar time-based puzzles.

  10. If this runecrafting guild does much to speed up runecrafting, I will not be happy. I'll wait until then to rant about Jagex making skills easier.

If this runecrafting guild does not speed up runecrafting, then I will not be happy. I'll wait until then to rant about Jagex not making any minigames that matter.

  11. I hope it doesn't make RCing insanely fast like Pyramid Plunder did to Thieving.

I'm seriously hoping not, why speed up skills that dont really need it, the reward in runecrafting is the money with the minigame if it nerfs it and alot more have 91, the minigame doesnt actually involve any runecrafting just pushing orbs, it'd seem understandable if its like vinesweeper 1xp for 1 point, but you can get new crafting gloves like nature gloves to help training, or even pouch repair kits, perhaps even an npc to teleport you to abyss or a bank in the guild near a mining spot for essence.

Most people get their buyables through runecrafting, to take it away by nerfing it so everyone does it easily doesnt seem fun, because alot of us dont go to godwars and get hilts, so wheres the next money maker

Eh, it's progress! I hope it does make Runecrafting faster, as it's so slow now.

  12. What else will there be in the runecrafting guild except the minigame? Why call it a guild if there's nothing else?

I hope it's a fun minigame with mediocre or small rewards like vinesweeper and Brimhaven agility dungeon. PP or PC of runecrafting wouldn't hurt too much as long as there were no cash rewards.

I would be furious if it was like the vinesweeper game. That game gives BARELY any experience and is a waste of time.

Vinesweeper is 25k xp an hour at the higher farming levels.

At what level is it decent exp?

For farming, it's very good experience. Sure, a tree can give 5-15k xp, but it takes hours to grow. Even if you grow the maximum amount of trees, there is still a limit to the XP you can get. But getting 25k additional xp per hour in farming is a great bonus if you want to train only farming.

  14. Sounds interesting, I have a feeling firemaking and rcing updates are F2p from the way they worded it and seeing as the firemaking one is in varrock.

Don't get your hopes up. They mention Morytania in the Firemaking one, and they'd hype up a f2p update a lot more than the Runecrafting text.
