  1. I've been saving up money for training herblore for overloads.

However, that's been sidetracked by barraging rock lobs for 99 magic and summoning.

Now with the combat update, would bandos armor be a good thing to buy?

I have full elite void, other melee armor is fighter torse, d boots and legs, whip and defender, helm of neizinot, soul wars cape, fury and zerker.

  2. I've been doing the curly roots in the jandiko lair. However, I just started doing the book of char daily burning and then bonfires came out. I can afford to use magic logs if bonfires are the best way, but right now I just want to know the best way. Best means fastest. curly roots and bonfires are both afk-ish. Bonfires more so, but still.

My initial plan was 92 for adze, but I may just go for 99. Thanks in advance

  3. I've been saving up money for some time. i'm close to 150m now, but i'm confused on what I should actually do to train herblore. I've been browsing the forums. One school of thought seems to be once you can make the extremes, make enough to get you to the next level for the next extreme, and then when you get to 96 for overloads, use all the extremes to do that.

the other school of thought is making potions with the intent of selling.

I already bought 95 prayer with no illusions. I was paying a lot of gp for a huge benefit in game. I don't mind not getting money back by selling the pots I make. I just need to know what people to do train herblore once they save up the money,

My end goal is 96 for overloads, not 99.

  4. I'd like to turn my POH from the basic piece of crap I bought and added a few rooms for neccesity and training into something that's beneficial.

The only useful room I have is a costume room, the rest are basic and easily replaceable, two bedrooms, a kitchen, dining room, and the starting room.

I think I would like a chapel, and two portal rooms, and a menagerie. Also, whatever room has the amulet of glory stand.

Do you have recommendations or links to guides regarding a basic set up or other stuff/rooms I should have?

  5. I would like to get to 80 or so for rapier, maybe 85 or whatever it is for frosts.

I'm 71 atm, a lot from ToG, but I've done solo.

Where do I find these groups to play with? I've tried the dung worlds and the groups being formed seem to be for floors above my range or for rushing the lower ones only. Where do I find groups that do large 5:5 for the highest floors I can access? Any advice?

  6. Yeah but the main problem with the vanity items is that they only work if you use one payment method. It's not fair to the people who subscribe by credit card.

i agree, i felt a little cheated about not being able to get the katana. the green skill may be nice to have as an option, i don't think i'll care about the turkey hat, but whatever, I feel that all paying members should have gotton a way to get the items.

are the loyalty stuff like titles and emotes visible on f2p servers?

  7. I have 88 farming, scroll of life, enough loyalty points to buy the t2 greenfingers, I might get enough at the end of this month to buy t3, don't know for sure. I'd be willing to get my hunting level up for juju pots.

I've been farming snapdragons and wondering if i should upgrade. i've been looking at the profit margin for torstol and it worries me, since you need like 10 to profit last i checked. do greenfingers and juju pots give a pretty sure chance at consistent profit?

  8. Like the title says, I am interested in casting ice barrage on rock lobs for several reasons. I want to use my hati paws up, and possibly go for 99 magic and some decent summoning level.

I have been looking at guides, and I am still confused about a good equipment set up.

I bought battle robes, have full elite void, barrows gloves, and ahrims, and staff of light. What's a good set up for using hati paws and then after?

  9. I had been pondering a scenario in my head for a while. I was curious what a player would do if they logged in one day and found their bank was completely empty, and they had nothing to give them a head start to rebuild (no planted torstols, no MTK, no torstols already planted, and no friends for a loan)

Honestly, a complete server reset, while an interesting idea, would probably be the end for me. I loved doing the quests, and I like playing now, but I can't imagine starting over. I've been somewhat debating about quitting video games all together. That's part of why I am trying to resist my brother trying to convince me to buy Skyrim with him. I don't want a whole new time sink, as much as I think I'd like it.

Also, I loved playing on the PVP servers. I had so much fun fighting in cities, running away through buildings, climbing stairs and crossing second floor connected buildings (ardy marketplace). I would support bringing back a server or two for PVP worldwide.

  10. i have 92 prayer already and i just purchased 95 prayer in bones. Once I get 95 prayer I'll do dungeoneering. I already have a full slayer helm and dragon boots. I do MTK. The claws are mainly for the Dominion Tower, it's a low priority, which reflects your advice.

EDIT: I probably don't need to keep twelve sets of full rune, but thanks treasure trails.

  11. First priority for slayer is a rapier. Also, do you have enough cash to buy large quantities of cannonballs? Without a cannon, slayer will be extremely slow. My advice would be to do a mix of money making and dungeoneering until you have a rapier and enough cash to buy a decent amount of cannonballs. This method will mean you lose money slaying, but it'll be far faster slayer xp. Also, I'd probably make the cash for 95 prayer before starting slayer in your situation, as turmoil makes a big difference.

but what about decent melee equipment, like bandos armor? should my priorities be get 95 prayer, rapier, and then bandos armor?

  12. I am looking to eventually max my combat stats and complete the achievement diaries/tasks

I want to do slayer for melee because it seems to be a good way to go for xp, money, charms, avoiding boredom

I would like to get enough money for 95 prayer and 96 herblore, I don't know which I should do first.

For melee/slayer, I would like a reccommended equipment set for melee. Bandos chest and tassets? get a rapier? Should I get a fury? dragon claws? I do have full elite void and all the barrows sets except dharoks and akrise. I do have all the quests done so I have korsai's and soul wars cape.

for the tasks - money for 88/91 smithing is my main concern, the other stuff is just simply training.

so, which goals should come first? money? equipment? skills?

I can make around 1 mil an hour, plus dailys and herb farming bring in 3-ish mil a day.

  13. I want to get to 90 fishing for the rocktail achievement diary/task. I am 87 fishing atm and I am wondering where I should be fishing? Shilo, cavefish, barb, what? I would prefer semi-afk if possible. I haven't gone to LRC ever so I don't have minerals but I do have decent combat stats and 76 mining and cash so I could gather/buy the bait.

Also, when I do get to 90, are rocktails the way to go to 99? are they the best xp? I think I heard they are the best money and still good xp, can someone clarify?

    Thanks in advance

  14. I have just gotton 74 mining, I want to get to 76 for ritual of the majarrat, maybe go to 80 for the achievement diary. So far I've been doing the Lava Mine, and I do have the golden mining outfit. Should I continue with the lava mine? should i get a penance horn or sacred clay pick or a dragon pick?

  15. Bursting would be little better, but barraging is probably better still. Right now it's around 570 gp for an ice burst with staff of light, and 1240 gp for an ice barrage with staff of light (which you really really should get).

You can assume around 200-250k xp/hr bursting and 300-350k xp/hr barraging, something in that order of magnitude (1200 casts per hour at most). Assuming you can make 1m gp/hr you'd either burst for 60 minutes and then make money for 40 minutes, or barrage for 40 minutes and make money for about 60 minutes. If you make more than 1m/hr you should barrage regardless.

If you make less than 1.5m/hr you should consider using battle robes. They reduce rune cost by some 50% (with sol) and take about 90-120 minutes to charge for a 4 hr charge. That saves you about 2 hours of runes, which is about 1.3-1.4m bursting (600-800k gp/hr equivalent) or about 2.5m barraging (1.4-1.6m/hr equivalent).

My recommendation would be, assuming you make around 1m/hr, to barrage with battle robes > barrage > burst with battle robes > burst.

that sounds like a plan, i'll get battle robes, burst until 94, switch over to barrage for however high i want to go. Thank you very much.

  16. Barrage is better than stun-alch starting at level 86, or even at 79 if you have overloads or a wolpertinger.

30k doubled magic xp or 40k doubled hp xp per hat and barraging is over 400k xp/hr at monkey skeletons (including hp, without multipliers) means you'd use up 20-25 hats per hour, around 4-5 hours of SC to barrage 1 hour to gain 800k+ xp (130-160k/hr including hp). I'd suggest not using SC gear.

tha's very helpful, thank you for opening my eyes, i will be barraging, but would bursting to get to 94 be better than stun/alching?

  17. I started the bxp weekend with 90 magic, my initial plan was to stun/alch until the timer ran to 1.9, and then use the stealing creation hat after the weekend and keep going. But, I decided to keep going, and I was still getting excellent xp. Now, the timer just hit 1.4, is it worth it to keep going? or should i stop, do something else, and use the stealing creation hat after the weekend?

I don't really know where I'm planning to get to with magic, right now I'm 92, I'm thinking 94, 96, or maybe 99.

Also, I was wondering if doing something like ice burst or barrage (once i get 94) would be better. I find stealing creation fun, and I think I also like playing soul wars, so my other question is: stun/alch or ice burst/barrage (and where? mummies, monkey skeletons, rock lobs, soul wars?)

also, if anyone with math skills could give me a rough estimate of how many SC hat recharges I'd need, or a formula I could use, that would be awesome

    Thanks in advance
