Here is another way I use to kill the chaos elemental and also keep revs off pretty easily. Use same ranged/melee inventory and guide ( inventory and what items to wield/wear) While you kill have a cannon placed on top of the hill or by the trees (remember the more cannons the faster the kills) Not only does this add significant damage to the chaos elemental it attacks the revs when they are far off and kills them pretty easily.
