RuneScape Information

  1. Yes, I forgot to put uppercase on the first letters of my nickname and now a new one was generated. Let's see if it updates from now on. Cheers.
  2. Well, I am clueless...It is not working, again. The "browser.cache.check_doc_frequency" value is set to 1, more than 12 hours has passed (in fact it has been around a week since I updated the Quest Points to 241) but my signature still shows a 1674 total when I have 1684. :wall: Any idea about how to get rid of the old signature showing 1674 total? Thanks again.
  3. Thank you! :D I'll get some xp and see if it is working as intended. @pryomancer: Thanks for the advice. Anyways, I learned that I shouldn't mess with something I don't understand, no matter how appealing it may look to change a few things, when I was young and in the hard way (messing with the BIOS setup on my parent's PC, for example #-o). (Ignore any misspelling/grammar issues. English is not my mother tongue).
  4. It seems like the problem is with Firefox (version 3.0.3). While using IE 7, the signature shows the updated stats... I don't see any option to configure what you said, so I will search for some info on internet about this cache issue on Firefox. Thanks anyways.
  5. I have a problem with the signature updater. At times it shows the updated stats, but the rest of the time it goes back to the state of my skills as they were in the day I created it :wall:. You said that it is updated when someone sees it (if at least 12 hours has passed since the last update), but does that only apply on this Forum or for any other website as well? I am using this signature on my Clan's Website. So, how does this work...when a clan member sees a post made by me (new or not), it updates? I guess it doesn't when I see it, right?
  6. Hi, I made a Dynamic signature with Tip.it pose & background but I have a problem with it not updating my stats. I know that it updates every 12 hours, but I didn't know that before finding out that changing the quest point number creates a new one with updated stats. The problem is that it seems that the original one doesn't update at all anymore (234 QP), so I would like to know if the others I created by changing that number on the link could be deleted?. Er, anyways, I guess that if it is not possible I will need to do some quest/s to match the number of the latest one created. :wall: Cheers.
  7. Yeah, good point. I still need to raise Magic at least to 82, though. About Range/Melee...I agree, someone with 99 range will hit easily on me, but I will probably hit as easily (even not maxed) on them. Tank against tank...I don't know. I had many victories against them, and against Voids (those are easy, tbh) but also a share of defeats. Anyways, the first days I will just mess around on junk armour. I find it quite amusing trying to see how long I last going from point A to point B before getting killed. Like I said, I will Pk for fun, not profit. Maybe I will send one or two pkers to their respawn point along the way. Cheers.
  8. I don't use protection prayers unless my opponent does. About the D-Bow, it is a good tool, but I won't pk for profit. Wandering anywhere and trying to kill anyone within my range level to achieve victory is what I am interested in. Diamond bolts, probably. Good idea about the DDP++. Thanks for your comments.
  9. Hi, I made this thread to get some advice from more experienced Pkers about Pking on the PvP servers as a Ranged Tank. My current stats are: Combat 105 (100 real combat) 76 Att (wasn't intended as a Ranged Tank since the beginning) 75 Str (idem) Almost 88 Def (around 170k xp left, getting 90 soon) 90 Range 71 Mage (low, I know) 87 HP 62 Prayer 38 worthless summon levels :wall: Now, I had many victories both in Duel Arena and the FFA Safe Arena against people over +10 combat levels above me, specially "Str" pkers, by using this setup: Torag Helm and Legs, Black D-Hide vambs, Obby Cape, Dragon Boots (against meleers)/Ranger boots* against rangers or mages, DFS*, Fury*, Rune C'bow with broad bolts, Archers Ring*. *Equipment that I won't risk on the PvP servers. I'll go mainly for the thrill of wandering over the map and bashing on anyone within my level range. My main concern are Ancienters...specially when they tend to hybridize. I would like to know your ideas about how to have good chances against most types of pkers. I already know how to deal with meleers, by combining defensive and offensive bonuses, although I will be forced to replace the high end gear, like DFS, with lesser one, but the main problem, like I said, comes from Hybrid Ancienters, IMO. Any help will be very welcome.
  10. Well, I have killed 253 vyres in a couple days and made around 500k or so, wich is nice. So far I got 3 Dragon spears, 3 tooth half keys, 1 loop half, lots of herbs, seeds, runes and charms (-.-), some rune daggers and addy stuff for alching, but no TT items so far. Let's see what I get with the remaining 247 vyres. Still, it is a fun thing to do to break the rutine a little.
  11. Thank you very much for this great guide. I just finished Legacy of Seergaze and I was trying to get info about Vyrewatch slaying, but I couldn't find anything on the RS Forums or the guides in different fan sites. I am very glad to be able to kill those accursed Vyres and even make a profit off them. Btw, I am after a Zammy pages set . It seems that they are no longer on TT rewards  It seems unlikelly to get all 4 (or even one...) according to the percentages but let's see. I'll post my results after 50 kills. Well, thanks again for a very complete and well made guide. Cheers.
