Another guy in W99 edgeville also has its total level showing, for anyone who doesn't believe me.

When I was walking through Edgeville, I saw something very intriguing: As you can see, this person doesn't show his combat level but his total level instead. Do you believe this is an unfortunate bug or a glimpse at a future update?
