  1. All things considered, this was a good update.

1: Dungeoneering is now profitable. You can easily make 1.5m per hour or so on frost dragons.

    2. This actually was a bit of an anti-inflation update. The sheer mass of resources that will be entering the game will help balance out the mass of gold.

    3. Dungeoneering photobooth. Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. :D

  2. blahvt.png

    Rather disgusting.

That's a bit out of context. there's nothing showing that he was replying to that question.

Definitely, considering the chat in MMG's is going a mile a minute, and the fact that he was talking about something else in-between implies that he was following a seperate line of thought.

On the topic of the economical viewpoint, I see two arguments going on here. Some people appear to claim that the boots update is not nearly as catastrophic as people think. Others point out that the panic-buying has begun, which was in turn caused by this update. Different viewpoints.

I think the ge database points out that there's been some panic-buying going on. :/

  3. I think it would be considered a bit more useful than the plate/full helm/etc.

The majority of the player community regards dragon as useless due to the equipment such as bandos and barrows. However, neither barrows nor bandos has a shield.

I could easily foresee a dragon kite being considered a cheaper alternative to the DFS, depending on how difficult it is to obtain and its actual stats.

  4. Jagex is just giving out more crap as distraction and diversions. Instead of great quests or new storylines they release these. Courtcase, Shattered hearts and Ancient effigies - what's the use of these? EXP is no good without content.

Sounds like backwards thinking to me. The Courtcases are minimal enough experience that people would be more likely to do them for the entertainment. At least until batch 2 is released.

  5. Changing the drive letters eh?

I have windows 7, but I'm certain there's a similar operation. I'll check on my old computer that's still running xp tomorrow morning if you have problems.

    For windows 7:

Go to the control pannel -> administrative tools -> Computer Management

On the side bar in the resulting window, go to Storage -> Disk Management

Rightclick your drive marked F:/ and click "Change drive letters and paths"

From there, click "Change". A menu should result with the ability to change the drive letter.

BE WARNED: THIS MAY MESS UP SHORTCUTS AND CAUSE SOME PROGRAMS TO RUN INCORRECTLY.

  6. I recently got a new computer (always an exciting prospect), but it has a few minor issues.

My computer comes with a 60 gigabyte solid-state drive, and a 500 gigabyte secondary hardrive (had to repartition that out of the box, not fun). One of the most irksome problems i have with it is the fact that the computer company took the liberty of downloaded about 40 gigabytes of their crappy freeware to the solid state drive.

Naturally, I don't feel like backdooring all the "TRUSTED INSTALLER" crap, having the computer complain that it cant find this or that.

My question is: Is there a simple method/utility to move the program files folder from one drive to another? I tried the folder-migrating utility, but it was of minimal help.

    Thanks in advance,

    Just A Gamer

  7. Silly people, new skill is obviously being a carnival carney. :ohnoes:

    From the Development Blog:

    Mistercleav0 asks:

    why cant we have mounts?

Mod Fetzki: Every time we try to get mounts into RuneScape, we run into severe problems that we think would just spoil the fun, such like that we would need to limit the items that you can wear when sitting on a mount or restrict players to certain routes that mounts can be used on. Until we have overcome these problems we wont have any mounts, as much as we want it ourselves.

The concept of mounts pretty much got killed by the run update anyway.

  8. For example, if the new Myreque quest has a section where you need a hammer to fix a ladder or something in Meiyerditch, they should make sure there's a hammer spawn nearby so we don't need to go all the way back to Burgh de Rott or further to find one, then walk all the way back.

On the other hand, That's why said team came out with rewards such as the quest kit from M.A., or the Rogue's kit from the Rogue's Den. Part of the nature of a quest is the concept of being prepared.

Yes, I agree it can be a pain when a quest is tedious to the point of exasperation, but M.A. showed that they sympathized with such a plight and were offering solutions to remedy it. Instead of holding you by the hand through the entire quest, they are giving you the tools, provided you have the forsight, to minimize such happenings.

  9. The simple fact of the matter is while classes, if overhauled, would be wonderful visually, it'd be most irritating to have the special abilities.

I myself tend to be an obsessive/compulsive perfectionist, and try to get everything to its best. The best armor I can find, the holy wrench to maximize prayer potions, etc. I would really hate to have to pay a sum of gold to change my class just so I can go pking. (And I would, an added max of 2 for a werewolf could mean the difference between a failed or succeeded bh rush.) or swap to a dwarf just so I can smith something. Even if that wasn't an option, I have not the time nor the patience to train 5 seperate characters.

I'm among the group who would consider the concept intruiging, but those kinds of effects would really send me for a loop.

  10. I (finally) got my first cape a few days ago. I tried back before the trade limits when I could borrow a friend's guthan, however it was much harder then due to A) The little difference between his attacks, and B) I had a hard time distinguishing between the ranged attack beginning and the recoil from being hit. I had to return my friend's guthan before the trade limits took effect, and the cape took less and less priority when I got a skillcape.

Anyway, much easier now, and I got it 2nd try when I went. (3rd time if you count the time when i got a ranged level, then the ket-zek hit through my pray)

  11. Just make all spells hit every 50th/100th cast. It's too small to help real mages but it's large enough to hurt akers who afk on low hp creatures.

Depends on the regeneneration rate of the monster in question. Don't spiders have 3 hits? I know some monsters have faster regeneration than others (like the barrows brothers)
