I had the hardest time trying to do that puzzle until I remembered that I have done similar ones in the clue scroll trails. I used that as a bases for putting the slide puzzle together in Monkey Madness and it worked. So as an update maybe to the tips, hints, and notes section you can put a referenced to the clue scroll puzzles.

I just got through doing this quest and I have completed Swan Song already and I did not need to wear a brown apron when talking to Malignus. [Crew - added]

On the Quest Calculator page it says that you don't need any summoning skill to do the quest, but in the quest page for Spirit of Summer it says you need level 19 summoning.
