A lot of people record exp per hour. No reason to know the DPS, exp per hour is a much better way to express the value of a method (Because most players are used to it). We know a lot of weaknesses to monsters, although the best equipment is sometimes disputed (e.g. Sara Sword vs. Zamorakian Spear at waterfiends [sara Sword, is better, barely. But many people believe that the ZS is better]).

 

As for skilling, we know tons about it. We know that each action runs in ticks of .6 seconds. Some actions take 5 ticks (3.0 seconds) and some only take one (.6 seconds).
