TMOX replied to TMOX's topic in BlogScape (Ongoing Progress Reports and Goals)
Thanks after I have been away for the weekend, I am now back to farm farm farm! Thanks for the advice! I mainly plant Fruit Trees, while I plant all the patches at Catherby and do Vinesweeper. I also tend to do quests every now and than! Thanks again! Thanks, I really worked hard on making this Blog look as good as I could make it! and yes there is an official vinesweeper world. However I do not use it, because I find it that having more people around often makes things go wrong! thanks for the compliment on my Blog! hehe thanks! -

Great! :o How much experience is 100K Vinesweeper points? :geek: Indeed that is 100k farming experience! it's quite a effective way of training too, besides farming your crops! Great! :o How much experience is 100K Vinesweeper points? :geek: 100k xp. Good luck, I really hope you don't give up! That farming cape is so worth it Thanks you're a great farming I see! maybe we'll farm together some day? the company would be great! Thanks! well my tactics at Vinesweeper are the following: 1. dig untill you see enough places so that you can plant all 10 of your flags at once, do not flag the moment you see a spot. 2. Stay close to the fences as the rabbits spawn at the outside of the fields. 3. Use your mind! -

..:: Seed Gathering ::.. Farming might be the most discussed skill in history of Runescape. Some hate it, some love it. My personal opinion is not relevant in this matter. One of the things that makes people detest this skill, is the fact that it is so hard to get your precious seeds. This is no longer an obstacle. This guide will inform you on all different methods of gathering seeds. I am sure there is at least one method that you can use in order to get yourself tons of seeds. Happy farming! [hide=Method 1]Method-appreciation: Great Requirements: Level 38 Thieving. Recommendations: Level 54 Hunter. Items needed: Cakes (or any other kind of food), Ring of Wealth (optional), Gloves of Silence (optional). Starting point: Draynor Village bank. ____________________ One of the most efficient ways of gathering seeds is by pickpocketing Martin the Master Gardener (further on to be named Martin). He can be found just north of the marketplace in Draynor Village. The best way to pickpocket him is by trapping him in the fenced area that is designated for the pigs. I will tell you all about it later on, but first we are going to prepare ourselves. It is of great importance for us not to equip very heavy. The lighter we are the better. This is because it makes us capable of running longer without getting exhausted. Also armour wont protect you from getting hurt when Martin punches you in the face after busting you. Therefore armour is unnecessary! Here is a quick list of things you should bring with you. Followed by a picture showing what my inventory and equipment look like when I am pickpocketing Martin: Cakes: Bring 8 cakes each trip, we dont want to be short on food, but we dont want to be short on inventory space either! 8 Cakes has proven to be a good amount. [Optional] Ring of Wealth: By using the ring of wealth your loot rate will increase significantly. [Optional] Gloves of Silence: These gloves will increase your success rate of Pickpocketing people. These require level 54 Hunter to be worn. [Optional] Extra: If you want to dress your character, that is perfectly fine. Just keep in mind that you should equip light. Now that we are fully equipped and ready to start gathering seeds, walk towards the fenced area where the pigs are in, just north of the Draynor Village marketplace. You will probably see Martin walking around in this area. Martin can be recognized by his Farming achievement cape. Right-click on the closed gate and select the option saying Open Gate. Once the gate has opened, wait around until Martin walks into the fenced area. On that very moment you also run into this area, and close the gate behind you. Well done, Martin is trapped! You have now narrowed down his moving region to a 5x3 area. Martin wont be able to escape from you! You can now start pickpocketing Martin, by right-clicking him and selecting pickpocket Martin the Master Gardener. Make sure that when you need to open the gate so you can bank, Martin does not have a change of escaping. It might be a good idea to only open the gate when Martin is standing in the most Western part of the fenced area, so that the gate itself will keep Martin from walking out when opened! [/hide] [hide=Method 1]I have done some research on the loot rate you are facing when pickpocketing Martin. I have successfully pickpocketed Martin 2000 times. The data Ive collected, while doing so, gave me a clear idea on what the loot rate should be. The following list has been put together in order to give you a good idea of what loot rate you are facing. Allotment Potato (1) - (99*100/2000) = 4.95 % Potato (2) - (94*100/2000) = 4.7 % Potato (3) - (103*100/2000) = 5.15 % Potato (4) - (88*100/2000) = 4.4 % Onion (1) - (96*100/2000) = 4.8 % Onion (2) - (85*100/2000) = 4.25 % Onion (3) - (97*100/2000) = 4.85 Cabbage (1) - (57*100/2000) = 2.85 % Cabbage (2) - (41*100/2000) =2.05 % Cabbage (3) - (46*100/2000) =2.3 % Tomato (1) - (67*100/2000) = 3.35 % Tomato (2) - (59*100/2000) = 2.95 % Sweetcorn (1) - (16*100/2000) = 0.8 % Sweetcorn (2) - (32*100/2000) = 1.6 % Strawberry (1) - (25*100/2000) = 1.25 % Watermelon (1) - (6*100/2000) = 0.3 % Hops Barley (1) - (32*100/2000) = 1.6 % Barley (2) - (27*100/2000) = 1.35 % Barley (3) - (24*100/2000) = 1.2 % Barley (4) - (17*100/2000) = 0.85 % Hammerstone Hop (1) - (53*100/2000) = 2.65 % Hammerstone Hop (2) - (42*100/2000) = 2.1 % Hammerstone Hop (3) - (30*100/2000) = 1.5 % Asgarnian Hop (1) - (35*100/2000) = 1.75 % Asgarnian Hop (2) - (45*100/2000) = 2.25 % Jute (1) - (22*100/2000) = 1.1 % Jute (2) - (20*100/2000) = 1.0 % Jute (3) - (29*100/2000) = 1.45 % Yanillian Hop (1) - (24*100/2000) = 1.2 % Yanillian Hop (2) - (25*100/2000) = 1.25 % Krandorian Hop (1) - (34*100/2000) = 1.7 % Wildblood Hop (1) - (8*100/2000) = 0.4 % Bushes Redberry Bush (1) - (71*100/2000) = 3.55 % Cadavaberry Bush (1) - (49*100/2000) = 2.45 % Dwellberry Bush (1) - (33*100/2000) = 1.65 % Jangerberry Bush (1) - (16*100/2000) = 0.8 % Whiteberry Bush (1) - (3*100/2000) = 0.15 % Poison Ivy Bush (1) - (1*100/2000) = 0.05 % Flowers Marigold (1) - (96*100/2000) = 4.8 % Rosemary (1) - (39*100/2000) = 1.95 % Nasturtium (1) - (58*100/2000) = 2.9 % Woad (1) - (34*100/2000) = 1.7 % Limpwurt (1) - (22*100/2000) = 1.1 % Herbs Guam (1) - (29*100/2000) = 1.45 % Marrentill (1) - (20*100/2000) = 1.0 % Tarromin (1) - (14*100/2000) = 0.7 % Harralander (1) - (12*100/2000) = 0.6 % Ranarr (1) - (4*100/2000) = 0.2 % Toadflax (1) - (4*100/2000) = 0.2 % Irit (1) - (3*100/2000) = 0.15 % Avantoe (1) - (2*100/2000) = 0.1 % Kwuarm (1) - (2*100/2000) = 0.1 % Cadantine (1) - (1*100/2000) = 0.05 % Special Bittercap Mushroom Spore (1) - (5*100/2000) = 0.25 % Cactus (1) - (2*100/2000) = 0.1 % Belladonna (1) - (2*100/2000) = 0.1 %[/hide] [hide=Method 2]Method-appreciation: Good Requirements: Throne of Miscellania quest completed, Royal Trouble quest completed. Recommendations: None. Items needed: Cash (a maximum of 7.5 million) Starting point: Etceteria bank. Please read: http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=manage_thy_kingdom.htm ____________________ This specific method might not be as good as the first one I described, but it sure is easy. After you have finished the quests Throne of Miscellania and Royal Trouble, you can assign your people to gather seeds for you! All you have to do is to make sure that your people appreciate you as their king or queen. And you will have to pay them for their hard work of course. You can check your Approval Rating at any moment by talking to one of your working servants around the island or by talking to Advisor Ghrim. Id suggest you to please have a look at this guide on Managing Thy Kingdom, it could be a great help! Once your Approval Rating is 100% Id suggest you to deposit your cash into the coffers. The coffers can hold a maximum of 7.5 million GP, but that is absolutely unnecessary. You can access your coffers by talking to Advisor Ghrim in the castle of Miscellania. He can be found next to King Vargas on the second floor. You can chose how much cash you want to deposit yourself, but keep in mind that the resources your servants bring you will depend on how much you pay them. Once again Id like to refer to this guide on Managing Thy Kingdom. Please read it carefully before using this method. When talking to Advisor Ghrim about how your kingdom is faring, he will show you an overview. This overview shows where your servants are working at the moment. You can change that by clicking on the arrows next to the meter. You should put Farm to a maximum, in order to receive seeds! Now you have some more work to assign. Id suggest you use that in order to collect logs by selecting Wood. Your servants will occasionally find birds nests which might include seeds! This is what that overview looks like: Once you have deposited your cash into the coffers and you have assigned your servants to the right job, you can leave the island and return to whatever you where doing in the first place! The only thing left to do is to keep waiting until your coffers are filled with seeds! It might be a good idea to come back to the island every once in a while to make sure your Approval Rate stays at 100%. Let the seeds come rolling in! Please note that this method could be very well combined with the first method![/hide] Thank you for reading this guide. I hope it will help you increasing your pleasure in Farming! For now, goodbye and happy 'scaping! :
