  1. I dunno about you all, but the song the dwarves are singing in that trailer gives me the chills. I'll definitely be added the soundtrack to my library once it comes out. Hopefully Howard Shore's doing it again.

His name is at the end of the trailer, so I assume so :P

  2. Found a dragon, got it to land, suddenly another dragon and three cave bears pop out of nowhere.

    NOPENOPENOPE.

Oh is there any point to cooking, at all?

Only for rookie adventurers/roleplayers. Otherwise, potions are way better.

Also, I can't even start the Blood on the Ice quest, nor buy the house in Windhelm just because I've done some Dark Brotherhood quests.

I can live with the fact that I might have killed some questgivers, but not for a quest I need to do to become a thane. That's just low and I hope it'll get fixed soon.

  3. It does end up quite abrubtly doesn't it. 100 smithing seems to be the 100 everybody gets lol, not hating though I did it too. I wanna get to 100 enchanting at some point, what's the quickest way to level that? Didn't really have the need to touch enchanting thusfar other than recharging my enchanted stuff i'd found.

Because with smithing you still get a decent ammount of experince at higher levels, other skills are really grindy at higher levels, that and since you get the same exp for smithing anything smithing can be cheap and fast to level up.

Going specifically on enchanting, you have to buy the soul gems, fill the soul gems, get some armor/weapons to enchant, go through each of the menus for every item you want to enchant, and repeat. It's very time consuming and rather expensive. Then you have the fact that there seems to be no master level enchanting trainer in skyrim. so from 75 to 100 all that training has to be you at an enchanting table.

There is a master enchanter in Markarth.

I personally collected all my soul gems from creatures. You can find many of them in Dwemer ruins or necromancer dens.

  4. Everyone who signed up for the beta is invited to this weekend test :) Hopefully we'll get some actual game time in. At this rate (with the forum server being overloaded), who knows what the stress will be like on the game servers this weekend...

I was invited to beta a few weeks ago and the game is pretty amazing :P I'm really, really looking forward to release.

    Ah, nice.

I'm currently downloading and installing the game. It also appears that we can talk about the beta-test now.

  5. I keep selling all my soul gems. Don't have much of an inkling to train enchanting or alchemy atm...

I used to do that, but now I'm starting to find both of them very interesting.

Shame I still don't know how to recharge enchanted weapons that ran out. UESPwiki says pressing R on a filled soul gem should do it, but nothing happens to me. Is there someone I should talk to before being able to recharge stuff myself?

When I went to my inventory and highlighted an enchanted weapon, it said which button to press to recharge (R2 for PS3).

I'll just stick to dungeon crawling. Soul gems are too expensive for my taste :P

  6. I'm nearing 8MB for my save file and no problems yet, thank goodness.

Speaking of destruction spells, I just hit level 40 last night, and I only have flame and spark, where can I get other destruction spells? I've tried checking random shops ever once and awhile for more spells but I can't find any new ones.

Unlike in Oblivion, you have to buy "spell tomes" this time. Try the wizard in Dragonsreach (Whiterun) amongst others.

  7. So there are still dragons after the main story? Awesome. You could try searching for the dragon burial mounds. There should be dragons flying around those.

Also, if you're going after dragon priests, they always use magic to fight you. So bring some resist shock/freeze/fire potions and equipment along.
