if you got stats like 60 att 1 def 80str and 43 prayer. would that be viable for pvp on free world?

i see theres a prayer for 43 prayer that says protection from melee. im wondering how it works? is it 100% protection? does it work against other players like in pvp worlds? how long does it last? untill your prayer runs out? how much hits can u get in untill it runs out? thanks in advance!

is it possible for 2 ppl to attack one person? like one person ranging another melee? example. i run up and attack some1 with my 2h or scimmy, while my friend ranges him at the same time? is this even possible? how come when i try it wont let me? but onetime i got ganged by like 10 ppl at once! thanks in advance!
