Has anybody else noticed that Runescape has probably the single most sucky community of any online game you've ever played? Nobody in the game actually likes other people. It's weird. Like every conversation i see is a competition between two people who want to be better than eachother... People don't just concede that a player is better than them in a skill, and compliment them. There's always an excuse thrown in. I'm better than pretty much nobody, and could care less, I think people who have skills that are above level 80 are very impressive. and i tell them that. I don't say it and then toss in, lol i couldn't be bothered training such a boring skill, that's why my level is so low. Why degrade people you've never met like that? It's so depressing. Whenever I play runescape i end up completely losing my faith in humanity. People are so horrible to eachother, and they've never even met! look at what's being discussed here! some skill capes are "nooby" because a lot of people have them? really? way to be pathetic. Who are you to question their motives, and why do you care enough to bash them like that? do whatever the hell floats your boat. and don't attack people for doing what floats their boat. ok so they want a skill cape. me too, but i don't have nearly enough dedication to do it. I'm probably the biggest noob here, because i could never get 99 in any skill. not even a "noob" skill. how's that for nooby, huh? go ahead flame me, you know you want to, do it. I wish people could just play the game and respect eachother regardless of their skills. here's the main thing that i dont' think people think about: runescape has no relation to reality. if someone is a level 3 fresh off of tutorial island, that says NOTHING about them as a person. But people seem to think so, and attack them for trying things or asking questions, because that's what people did to them when they were that level. just STOP it's f***ing irritating to me that we have to be like this to eachother. think about what would happen if you didn't call someone a noob for wanting a skillcape because it's cool (how utterly unacceptable, i know, people should do things for your reasons, not their own.) nothing would happen at all. except everyone would be a little happier that they didn't waste valuable time flaming eachother for 5 minutes over absolutely nothing. I know this is barely related to the topic, but this topic is a perfect example of this kind of thing, and it really depresses me to see people acting like this towards eachother without any VALID reason.
