Hey guys, I have recently started playing rs again and just wondering what you guys think would be the best and fastest way to train my defence to 85. My Stats are.. 70 Attack 70 Strength 81 Defence. I'm a range tank in the making, with the exception of not exceeding my strength level over 70. At the moment I am training at bandits with a ss, full guthans armour and an excalibur in my inventory (normal 1). These are my resources as of right now since alot has changed i think, just wondering if maybe any other alternatives. I plan to get 90 Defence but for now just 85 because I know bandits is not the best with my levels.

Well i've been saving up for armadyl armour for a short period of time now but i have been noticing that it's price has been dropping daily, should i take advantage on buying it now or do you think it will keep dropping?

I might branch of to slayer or herblore, is herblore profitable?

Hi, I want Armadyl Armour very badly but i just dont have the right amount of money atm. I plan to buy armadyl by parts, I have about 13m cash so maybe i could buy the helmet and save up for the rest. Thing is, I have no idea what to do in order to earn the other 20m. Killing Green Dragons is packed with Cannons and Avie's, well avie's i just dont know what setup is really good for me. I have 99 range and 80 def. I go in with void but i get hit constantly and a tank setup brings my hits down so i really dont know what to do/ use. Any ideas?

Well now that I have accomplished 99 Range, I was planning on working on 99 Def (currently 70) My Melee stats blow, so i was thinking maybe cannoning Green Dragons could be beneficial. Good XP and Profit? Let me know what you guys think. Oh btw only 60 attack 69 strength

Well i recently got 99 range, and don't know what else to do. My stats are as follow, 60 ATTACK 68 STRENGTH 70 DEFENCE 70 MAGIC 88 HP and 52 PRAY COMBAT LVL: 94 SHOULD I GET 99 DEF? TRAIN ONLY STRENGTH? what do you guys think????

Currently have 70 Defense and hope to get it to 80. What should I use to achieve this goal? Range or Melee? Attack-60 Strength-65 Range-98 (I don't plan to get Attack and Strength any higher) Are chins a good idea? If so, does anyone know the xp rate with chins using "Long Range"

Its been awhile since I been down there, and was looking over the general guides if I could find some kind of guide that explained the Void Setup used on Aviansie. I do remember my old setup being Full void, Sara Cape, Zamorak Book, Armadyl Pendant and Snakeskin Boots. My inventory was Pineapple Pizza's, 2 (4) Range pots, 2 (4) Super Defense pots, and the rest was as usual the nats, fires etc.. oh and I was using obby rings/broad bolts. At the time I was maybe 93-94 range and 70 Defense. (nothing much has really changed) So yeah... was thinking of maybe an alternative to this setup. I was so tired of picking up my own rings after every kill. I did here somewhere that the prayer method and void is ownage something about using the 10% hawk eye? (or which ever gives you the 10%) and range pots with void would perhaps make me hit 40's with broad bolts (i think). Yes i do realize that my defense is very low but i have noticed that i banked more in just 1 trip, that perhaps took about 45mins-1h rather than in a tank setup where it was rather slow and would take me a bit more longer.

OK, well i guess I'll go with the 85 def and how should I approach this? Melee or Long Range with Chins. And is summoning essential?

Jeeze, forgot this was under Help & Advice :? But still, Grey or Red Chins? Which are better to train with? I keep hearing RED from Rs Players but some guides I've seen say "Grey are the way to go :thumbsup: "

Am I a tank? Stats are on Sig or as followed. Attack- 60 Strength- 65 Defense- 70 Hit Points- 85 Range- 95 Pray- 52 Summoning- 1 If so, should I get my Defense higher? and how about Summoning would it help?

OK, well was just wondering about how much money would I be spending on Chins from 95-99 Range. Red Chins or Grey? I've used Grey from 90-95 gaining about 180k-185k experience per 1k Chins.

Well i have recently got back into the habit of playing runescape again and have decided to finally finish my goal of a 99 (Within The Combat Triangle). My stats are on my Sig and I have about 19.6m to work with. I was perhaps thinking of either getting 99 Range or 99 Magic. Not sure though, with all these expenses i would be losing a great chunk of my money I think :\. Oh yeah, I have nothing in my bank besides Void Armour and the Cash I have saved up so I would have to be buying the equipment as well

Is there some sort of option to view more than just the Daily Average?

Ok guys, Well I seem to have trouble deciding whether or not to train my Strength higher then 70+. Basically I have been trying to avoid training it, due to its effect on the additional Combat Levels I would gain. (Except with the use of SW or PC; training it to its maximum level before leveling combat). It had become a problem to me because i mostly F2p PK, and Ranging by itself is good and all.. but no sort of K.O. So my question is.. Should I train my Strength to use the Range/2h combo in F2P? Or Stick with range till 99?

I believe this would depend on how much time you spend training/playing, and if you have some sort of foundation in which you can make your money from. It wouldn't be worth it if you have no idea where to start or begin with. Currently I'm in the same position as you are in (creating the new pure), and I have chosen to go members just to take advantage of the great training spots they have to offer *Preparing for the upcoming Bounty Hunter.*

Ok well I just finished getting all the things I need and got a set up of armadyl helmet, fury, accumalator, saradomin book, d'hide body, zamorak hide legs and a regen bracelet. Is this good? And what ring should I use? *Edit* Was also wondering how is it possible to use any other type of boots when going to avie's. Thought you had to use climbers :ohnoes:

Replace the robin with a arma helm and the pendant with a fury, and your pretty much set. I wouldn't waste the cash on 2 zammy items. As I said before only have about a 11m budget so would Gorgoroth's setup be the 2nd best option?

Well, I'm off to GWD to begin my journey of 90-99 range at Avie's and was wondering a good equipment setup with the stats I currently have. My current budget is 11m any ideas? I have seen many guides but there are many alternatives to each equipment and was just wondering the best/obtainable for my account. *Note* I will be using Range Pots/Excalibur for Defense boost.

Ok Well, sorry to change the question up a bit but would it be better of to merchant with 10m gaining money for Chins/Supplies? or simply buying supplies for Aviensie and Chinning afterwards?
