  1. Q. Will I get Loyalty Points for any previous membership?

    A. Unfortunately not. We recently released the Veteran Capes to say thanks to some of our longer standing users. The Loyalty Program looks forward and gives everyone a clean slate.

God, you guys need to calm down and wait for information before completely freaking out all over BTS topics. Jagex isn't going to do microtransactions and people who've had membership for 10 years won't have anyone extra. Everyone who has P2P now and will keep P2P for the next year will get the same amount of points.

I'm actually looking forward to this, although it may seem a little unfair, I have no problem getting extra rewards for the $12 I pay monthly for 2 memberships.

  2. I'm still unhappy that people still feel the need to rig the votes voting on various accounts. If you think your side has so much chance, vote on your main account. It does disgust me just how much the Rs community is willing to cheat in what is a measure of good faith by Jagex.

I have been swayed in this thread, and I have voted that I'm not bothered. I am unsure as to whether they can realistically detect the bots, but if they can, good to them.

Mainly, I am just offput by the Communities willingness to cheat. That's the main reason for me being unwilling to vote yes. I don't want to be part of the scum (yes, I find people who cheat in votes like this as scum)

How is voting on multiple accounts cheating, I ask?

I have 5-6 accounts that I play REGULARLY, why shouldn't I vote them all in favor of yes? Seeing as they're all counted by Jagex as active accounts, me voting on only one of them would be like only voting 1/6th of a time..

  3. I completely disagree, and think you are wrong on all opinions.

First of all, I know about the botting community of RS, and it's a hell of alot bigger than it was before the wilderness was removed. You don't see the difference because it's not a bald man in a tan shirt and green shorts anymore. It's a guy in full bandos, with a fire cape, barrows gloves, and onyx ring(i) killing abby demons, training slayer, and RCing.

Secondly, this obviously pleases the majority of RS players as well as making Jagex more profit from people who return.

And to your message about the "honest players" bullcrap:

Almost all of the "honest players" today stuck through those updates hoping Jagex would someday fix it, and now they are.

You're whispering in a room full of screams.

I can't imagine why they wouldn't go through with it.

  4. took me about 2 hours before i got the hang of it, but as soon as i did I got 5 helms and 2 defenders in the span of about 15 minutes. The best way to do it is look around the room at all times(I know you guys will hate me for this but it's survival of the fittest) and spam attack any cyclossus that is more than 50% health. I believe I maybe killed 3-5 cyclops and about 7-8 cyclosses.

once you steal one of the big boys, just run to the nearest wall and range him with knives untill he's lured over to you and then kill him. I preferred using peity+super pots and kills were pretty quick, and completely worth the effort.

I guess it's a good thing the rest of us graduated first grade math.

i didn't want to have to do this, but i will camp this thread until i pass out if sseli or i get any more crap about this...

if special attacks were to cost "sp points", this could have all been avoided. a 10% reduction of the cost of a special attack would then obviously mean that the special attack would cost .9 * the sp point cost of the attack.

however, we measure special attacks in percent of the full special attack bar. so when you say percent, it's ambiguous.

dragon claw's spec take 45% with the ring

    45%+45%=90%

    90%+ spec restore's 25%= 115%

    45%+45%+45% does not equal 115%.

Even if his original math was right, he's complaining before he even understood the mechanics of the ring.

tl;dr STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT PVP BEING BROKEN

we were under the misconception that it would be 40% for a claw spec, ie, 50% of a special attack bar, minus 10% (we thought of the special attack bar, as in the same units a special attack is measured in), = 40%. 100% + 25% of a pot = 125% = three claw specs with 5% left over

which brings me back to my point

STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT PVP BEING BROKEN

an update is out for 30 seconds and you're already complaining about PVP being broken, every update isn't out to get you. It's annoying to see on the front page of every update how Jagex has broken the game.

maybe, before posting PVP IS BR0k3N END OF TEH WORLD!!!! sit back, wait a second, think it over and calm down.

interestingly enough i've not once talked about pvp in my posts, and even if i had, we were talking about the problems that would arise, if the ring functioned in a way that it has turned out not to, so it's moot. now i'm just justifying the legitimacy of the flat-rate-reduction-to-the-cost-of=special-attacks-when-wearing-the-ring-of-vigour paradigm, because people are saying that we're idiots who can't comprehend first grade mathematics.

but I wasn't arguing with you either, you specifically said that you would "camp this post to defend yourself and sseli"

i was specifically telling sseli to stop complaining about pvp being broken when you came to his rescue. so lets just stop arguing and be happy with our update.

ahh look the "RUNESCAPE IS BROKEN" people are already here"

Also, explain how 40%+40%+40%=100% if you're talking about claws?

on a related note; I figured there would be more rewards than this, but whatever.

  9. Sounds like they messed up sligthly, but I don't think they need to rollback this one. It's enough to just be fast, and change the alch/sell price to be closer to zero. There's not too many people that earned on this update yet anyway.

I don't think you understand, people have alched 1-2k of them

    that's 45m into the economy.

Yes that is 45 million. And if every person had 1-2k boots, then it would be terrible. But most people have few, just a select lucky ones had a lot of boots, and they have earned an impressive amount from this. But even if we say that a few billion have entered the economy, that's still not a too big hit, if you consider how gp actually flows in the economy on beforehand. Maybe the general prices will raise a few days, but nothing major. It's not a constant gp flow anyway, just a one time happening.

So if 500 People had 1-2k of these boots, which is more than realistic at this time, thats over 20b in the economy. Do you honestly think this is acceptable?

  10. (sucks to see 2 attack on there though aha, how did that happen?)

If I'm right in thinking, it was based on the class that was picked for the character, which could possibly be related to only having the 9HP (Not sure if other classes yielded only 9HP too.) - you can see both the original poster and the other account mentioned, "ioveliest", have similar stats such as 2 Prayer and 2 Attack.

You can't pick classes in runescape. To get a account with 9hp max, you had to start the account about 8 years ago. You had 9hp coming off tutorial island if you started playing rs during the RSC era.

I think they changed this in 2003 before they released RS2

I'm pretty sure you chose a class and it gave you a small boost in the respected stat.

I remember something about miners getting more mining xp to start with.

    To you

congrats another skiller with 1k total 4/10(i really don't care about the 9hp, all that shows is that you took longer to do it..)
