    I wrote a full walkthrough but you posted first so here are some additions: The trees, in each cave level, are found in the green patch visible on your minimap. 51 slayer is required to fight the pheonix after the quest has been completed and no items are required as if you ask the priest about the ritual he will supply you with secateurs, knife and tinderbox. I also have some screen shots if you want them :
