RuneScape Information

  1. Firstly please point out all Grammatical errors there are, if any. Because I will change those asap. also Requirements not being high enough. BS. Look at the Broadsword which requires completion of the quest to be able to wield. Also from 1 to 80 in both strength and defence, it will require at least 8 months if not longer. 4 months for each. another note is the required completion of those few quests as well as 1 to 65 slayer requiring an extra month so in total we are looking at possible 10 months if you play all the time which as stated earlier, most people don't play more than 4 hours on any single day. Add in that most players are school students and have other responsibilities, the fact that at 2-4 hours day would take you over a year to get the requirements and factor in possible jobs for those that are in high school and these are in all honesty high requirements, and if you are not satisfied with my explanation go get one from a Jagex Mod. because I asked my friend who is Jagex mod and he said that 80+ in most skills is high requirement. and that 65+ is mid-level requirement. Like I said though, ask a Jagex mod, then tell me my requirements arent high enough. right now the highest requirement I think there is would be 75. This pushes it up to 80 if added to the game plus is almost a 1m exp gain from 75 to 80. at 90+ in melee thats maybe 3 or 4 days of training, but most players doing this quest will not have 90+ in any combat skills unless they have very high range or magic.
  2. Maybe for those who play the game over 10 hours a day. Most people play at most 3 or 4 hours a day tops so for most players it will take a long time to get the required skills. Also 65 slayer is what my friends all recommended. You also need to read the whole thing dude cuz it sounds like you looked at the requirements and didn't read the quest at all.
  3. so your telling me i need to kill over 86k more and then and only then i might get one. thats a lot of dragons =(
  4. This, there is no 100% guarantee. The chance of getting the drop stay the same no matter how many you kill. Then When it comes to dragons i must be the unluckiest guy on the planet. there has to be a way to get it after 200 or 300 kills. Only thing i can think of is ring of wealth against either wyverns or kbd cuz ive heard drop rate is like 1/100 that way. Considering wyverns are much less expensive i should go with them but either way i probably will never get it as drop no matter how bad i want it.
  5. I have killed 13,537 Iron, Steel, and Black Dragons and still no visage! is there any kind of secret to getting visage or something? I need to know how to get a 100% guarantee of visage drop.
  6. Hello. So as to help other players out, I'm making this thread. How do YOU make money in Runescape? How much do you make each hour? What skill level do I need for me to do this? Elaborate and be very descriptive. You're showing off how much money you make a day. so make yourself look good. =P Ways I make money: Slayer - varies, sometimes 1m in one hour Woodcutting - 50k an hour Camping Green Dragons - 400k-700k an hour, depending on server population Herblore - Done while doing slayer to stretch the profits made from herb drops Thieving - varies, sometimes 200k an hour
  7. I support. But you need to also give data about their alching values as well as what value you would say their starting ge price would be. Also how rare are they as a loot from a clue scroll? How much will you have to play MA to infuse the rings? Do they give any hidden boosts like the Ring of Wealth and Regen Bracelet? If made for F2P for the noninfused rings, will they have lower stat boosts? Make sure you haven't missed a single question that can be covered. Check out my idea, Slayer's Intellegence, and see how much data I put into it. It's a long read but I cover just about every detail I could think of.
  8. Please note that the weapon that has a CHANCE of doing 3 times the normal damage has less than half the strength bonus of godswords, therefore you will be dealing barely higher damage than with the AGS special. and please note the the speed that is faster than whip is only for the special attack of the broadsword. Read more in-depth before u rant on my idea please.
  9. Quest - Slayer's Intelligence Required Skills: 65 Slayer 50 Smithing 100 Combat 80 Strength 80 Defence Required Quests: Smoking Kills Icthlarin's Little Helper Black Knights' Fortress Non-Player Characters: Sumona High Priest of Sophanem Vannaka Chaeldar Sir Vyvin Krilkalov (New Slayer Master, location: Fremmenik Isles, either one) King Arthur (if you have completed King's Ransom, this part will go faster) Start: Sumona Part 1: You go to Sumona and ask her if she has any new info or quests to be completed or taken care of. She at first says "no" but then when you try to walk out of her building she says "wait! Could you take these intelligence notes to the High Priest of Sophanem?" You decide you want to help cause there's obviously gonna be a reward right? Part 2: You take the notes to the High Priest and he asks if you would like to help take care of something that's been troubling the city for some time. You accept and he tells you that long ago there was a great war between the two Demon gods Ahrlydd and Reks*tin. They both took the life of the other at the same time at the end of the fight. But only Ahrlydd's general survived with a few spare troops. Ahrlydd's general, being loyal to his master, decided to remain there and guard the god's resting place. But the general's subordinate, Krik-Thithtonith, became bored. So he started terrorizing the city. And to this day the city is still terrorized by this threat. You say that you wanna help and so the High Priest asks you to take those notes to Vannaka. Part 3: You take the notes to Vannaka. Vannaka tells you that you are gonna need to first bring him the materials for the shield you are gonna need to defeat Kril-Thithtonith. He says first go and tell Sir Vyvin that the threat in the city (once again, can't name it off the top of my head) is going to be eliminated and that you are going to be the one to do it. Vannake tells you only Sir Vyvin's family has the knowledge of how to create the final part for the Shield of Purity. He also tells you that you are gonna need a Rune Defender, a Rune Square Shield, An Elemental Shield or Mind Shield, 15 Rune/Pure Essence, A Saradomin-Blessed item, and the last part, a Grigant Bar. Vannaka gives you a letter with his official signature so Sir Vyvin knows why you are there. Part 4: You go to Sir Vyvin in Falador and ask him about the shield part. He asks how you know about it and why you need it. You show him Vannaka's letter of recommendation. He then tells you about how the shield was made back when his ancient ancestor slew the mighty Lord of Dragons in the west 760 years ago. He then tells you what you need for the shield. The shield part can be made with 70 smithing if you have high smithing. Otherwise you will need to ask Doric to do it for you after receiving the Part Blue Prints from Sir Vyvin. Sir vyvin asks you to bring 1 adamant bar, 2 mithril bars and a holy symbol. Part 5: You bring the materials to Sir Vyvin and he gives you the Shield Piece Blue Prints. To make it with 70 smithing you must have the blue prints in your inventory and use the holy symbol on the anvil. If you're not 70 smithing, go to Doric, use blue prints on him, he will charge you 10,000 coins, but you get the Grigant Bar Part 6: You go back to Vannaka. He teaches you how to make the shield. It requires 50 smithing. He also tells you the level requirements of the shield (80 Strength and Defence) use the rune essence on the anvil and it will give you the Shield of Purity. Part 7: Now you go back to the High Priest. He tells you that there is a specific potion required to protect you from the dark ora eminating from the demon. He tells you that only Sumona knows the whereabouts of the potion you need. Part 8: You talk with Sumona. She says you look ready to slay an army of demons and asks if the shield is really necessary and you assure her that it is. Next she reveals that King Arthur has the potion, but that he will probably not give it away lightly. Part 9: You go to King Arthur. If you have done King's Ransom and you ask him about the potion he says "You have aided us in so many ways. It's the least I could do." And he hands you the potion. But if you have not done King's Ransom, he will require you to prove your strong enough first by killing the Black Dragon under his castle without an antidragon-breath shield. This will be difficult so you might want to do King's Ransom first. When you kill the dragon, speak to him again and he gives you the potion. He says you might want the blessing of Chaeldar the fairy before using it. This is optional, but very useful. Why? Because when you do the potion not only protects you from the dark ora, but it also reduces damage dealt by the demon by 10%. Part 10: You return to Sumona who has at last discovered the place where Krik-Thithtonith resides. In a cave on the south end of the swamp at the southern end of the desert plateau. She asks if your all ready. If you say you are then you can no longer get your potion blessed. You say you are and you receive a poorly drawn map of the cavern. She then asks you to speak with Krilkalov who has uncovered a the key to banishing the demon from Runescape once and for all. Part 11: You go to Krilkalov and tell him everything that's happened so far and he tells you that you will need 65 slayer to kill Krik-Thithtonith and that the incantation to banish the demon. The incantation is: Krarko Seatanoneth Suraksa Jimuno After writing this down in your personal notes you ask if there is anything else you need to know before you can put an end to the city's suffering. He says no and tells you to be on your way. Part 12: The Fight!!!!! You go into the cave which is filled with greater demons and black demons and hellhounds. You need to be wearing the Shield of Purity so you take less damage from the demons. You follow the directions you studied on the map given to you by Sumona til you reach the room that contains your target. Beware, if you die you will lose items, but keep your Shield of Purity as it is more valuable than many other items and therefore is nontradable. You enter the lair and Krik-Thithtonith Sends his two Demon Guards (level 200, 1800 LP) at you. After defeating them you are immediately attacked by Krik-Thithtonith (level 550, 3000 LP). The demon guards can only hit you for about 120 max damage while wearing the Shield of Purity and Krik-Thithtonith hits around 200 max if you wearing the shield. the demon guards hit 260 if you don't wear the shield and Krik-Thithtonith hits 600 with his melee attack (a giant flame sword swung at you), 400 with his ranged attack (stabs his sword in the ceiling and rocks fall on you), and 300 with his magic attack (a fireball thrown at you with his free hand) 200 is his max with all three styles while you wear the shield. Part 13: After slaying the mighty Krik-Thithtonith, You take his head, cast the incantation on what's left of the demon, and return to Sumona. She tells you to take it to the High Priest. You take it to the High Priest and he tells you to give the last of the notes to Krilkalov. When you do that its quest complete! Rewards: 2 Quest Points 20,000 Slayer experience 35,000 Defence and Strength experience 12,000 Smithing experience The ability to go to Krilkalov for slayer assignments (requires 120 combat, 85 slayer) The ability to go back to the cave, find the general (General Rhysdayl Level 700) and fight him for a new rare item. Shield of Purity Shield of Purity: requires 80 Strength and Defence to wear +7 attack to all attack styles except magic. +4 magic attack bonus +40 to all defence styles except magic +5 magic def +8 Prayer Bonus +3 str bonus +10 ranged str bonus +5% to magic damage Shield reduces damage dealt by demons to the player by 35% after quest. During quest, only while in the cave, will it reduce it by 60% General Rhysdayl Level 700 3500 LP max hits: 650 with melee (2H sword slammed down on you) 550 with range (switched to holding 2H weapon with one hand while throwing a huge boulder at you) 400 with magic (fireballs shoot out at you from his eyes) 350 with multitarget ranged attack (hits all players within his lair. its giant flaming horns shot out at all players in the room.) Drops: Rune Platebody Rune Platelegs Rune Kiteshield Dragon Med Helm Dragon Platelegs Dragon Plateskirt Demon Rapier (new) Rune Longsword Rune Battleaxe Rune 2H Sword Rhysdayl's Broadsword (new) Herbs (2-4 noted of any kind) seeds (1-2 herb seeds) arrows/runes Dragon(10), Rune(35), Adamant(100), Blood(30-60), Death(100), Soul(20) Shield Left Half Loop Half of a Key Tooth Half of a Key Ashes (dropped on every kill) The Demon Rapier and Rhysdayl's Broadsword are tradable. But you gonna probably need a whole lot of money for these items. Demon Rapier: Requires 65 slayer and 65 attack to wield +40 stab bonus +60 slash bonus -10 crush bonus -20 magic bonus -15 range bonus +2 slash def bonus +60 strength bonus -1 prayer bonus Increases slayer exp recieved from demon slayer tasks by .5 so you get 1.5 times the exp. but only for demon tasks. Hilt has a little demon skull on it and the blade has the length of a longsword but is thinner than the blade of a longsword allowing for faster attack speed. which means this sword has the attack speed of a scimitar or abyssal whip. Special Attack: has a chance of hitting a "critical hit" for which you deal 3 times the normal damage. Special attack makes character make a dodge attack motion and then brings sword up the middle of the opponent. Special Attack only works on Demons and takes 75% of the special attack bar. Rhysdayl's Broadsword Requires 90 attack strength and defence to wield +0 stab attack bonus +150 slash attack bonus +115 crush attack bonus -40 magic attack bonus -40 ranged attack bonus +15 stab def bonus +15 slash def bonus +15 crush def bonus -5 magic def bonus +10 range def bonus +150 strength bonus +5 prayer bonus +0 ranged strength bonus +0% magic damage bonus Special Attack: Rhysdayl's Rampage You swing twice at 1.25 times the speed of a scimitar or abyssal whip. also has a chance of reducing opponents combat skills by 10% for a short duration of time. special attack does not, however, reduce prayer or summoning. The Special Attack takes the entire Special Attack energy and all your run energy as well as it requires great amounts of energy to swing such a big sword that fast. The sword weighs 15kg Now remember that this is a broadsword and that it has a wider blade than a regular 2H sword. That why i gave it def bonuses. plus look at the skill requirements. requires 90 def. The sword looks has a black hilt enlaced with gold ribbon and the blade is long and wide. The blade color can either be black, red, or enflamed. This i'll let you guys debate over. To wield Rhysdayl's Broadsword and the Demon Rapier you must complete Slayer's Intelligence and have the required skill levels. To enter Rhysdayl's lair you must kill 40 each of black demons and greater demons and do this quest. Please help me grow this idea, make it better, etc. I look forward to your ideas on this and will consider all ideas for add-ons to the quest/drops/etc. Supporter list (from forums on runescape.com): 1. 10. Thanks for mentioning that. I never Bother with high alching even though i have the mage level for it. mostly due to the faact that it not worth it unless u are actually planning to up your mage level. This is a guide on how to make money off of cockroach soldiers. whether you high alch the drops or sell it on the GE or whatever you do with your drops, doesn't matter, as long as you learned how to make cash there and how to mazimize your profits there from my guide. but i might consider putting it in the profits maximization portion later on if I deem it worthy of it, but right now the price difference isnt really great enough to deem that measure be taken.
  11. there is no such thing as "good" and "bad" luck in runescape, its all chance. I am sorry but I must disagree. Each character is unique to its creator and in a sense some characters are luckier than others. it's a proven fact. Add Chris Rand0m to your friends in-game on Runescape and ask him. He's the one who explained the whole concept to me. But I rune 2 accounts like some people and my main is much luckier than my other account. Took other account to Cockroaches 3 times, and no rune scim or rune sq. I take my main there and i get at minimum 4 Rune Scim/Rune Sq drops per trip. Once got 7 Rune Scims in one trip. More tests could be taken to prove this theory but I think Chris's friend has done enough testing on it for us to know for sure it is true.
  12. Hi. Zad here and before becoming a member I was making upwards of 200k-250k an hour at Cockroach Soldiers. Now this of course is dependent on your character's luck. However even a character with terrible luck can get runite drops from these monsters that are easy to kill. Table of Contents: 1 - Introduction 2 - Requirements and Fighting Them 3 - Maximizing YOUR Profit 4 - Pics =P 5 - FAQ 6 - Conclusion (>^.^)>Introduction<(^.^<) Now most people pick up only the runes and the runite drops. But these don't drop just that. They drop a bunch of good stuff. You should pick up everything that sells well on the GE(Grand Exchange) All will be explained later in the Maximizing Profit section. As for now let's move on to the next part of the guide. Requirements and Fighting Them The requirements are as followed: Minimum - 65+ Attack 65+ Strength 65+ defence Recommended - 80+ Attack 80+ Strength 80+ Defence Equipment - Rune Full Helm Rune Platebody Team cape (any one) Rune Platelegs Rune Scimitar/Rune Battleaxe/Rune 2H Sword Rune Kiteshield/Rune Berserker Shield Rune Gauntlets/Green D'hide Vambraces Fighting Boots/Rainbow Boots. Why is the recommended stats so high? Look in the Maximizing Profits section =P How do I go about fighting this monster? Cockroach Soldiers have high accuracy with both their melee and magic attacks. We are using melee because their melee attack tends to hit lower than their magic attack (80 damage for melee and 100 damage for magic) Cockroach Soldiers, although you would think that due to being an insect they'd be weak against crush, they are actually weak against slash. So bring your Rune Scimitar. And don't go into combat without Full Rune. When you attack, if your combat is lower than level 83 you can utilize this disadvantage as an advantage by quickly running under the nasty bugger before it has a chance to hit u. only useful if using Rune Scimitar. Basically for lower levels, use Swordfish or Anchovy Pizzas for max kills per trip, higher levels that have the recommended stats; I recommend the use of Lobsters for you. Maximizing YOUR Profit Helpful Items: Rune Gauntlets - Increases strength allowing you to hit higher Rune Berserker Shield - Increases strength allowing you to hit higher Drops: Rune Scimitar - This drop explains itself. Currently at 35k each, that makes it currently the second best drop from any monster in F2P. Rune Square Shield - Good drop valued at 22,9k. Death Runes - Pick em up as the number u get adds up quickly. Law Runes - Same as Death Runes, only faster. Unfortunately these have drastically dropped in price recently. Uncut Gems - Pick them all up. Uncut Sapphires are 3k+ each right now, Emeralds are 6k each. Rubies range from 7k each to 9k each. And Diamonds are 16,5k each. Adamantite Ore (1 noted) - The fact that their noted means all Adamantite Ores you pick up go into a single slot. Meaning you can collect these the way you do the runes. Mithril Ore (3 noted) - Although less valuable than Adamantite Ore, they add up faster, so pick these up for some added profit. Members Drops: Seeing as how members get much better armour, I'll let you choose which armour you desire for fight these if your a member. Charms: Mostly drop crimson charms, which you want as pouches made with crimson charms give the second best exp for Summoning. Dragon Spear: Haven't actually ever gotten one, but my friend did so I know they drop them. I was fighting these with him when he got the drop. Herb Seeds: Most herb seed drops are decent. Since I got 32 Farming I think I'll begin to stop selling Ranarr seeds as I can get much better profit by planting them. Blood Runes: Pick them up. Not only useful for Ancients but are also good cash if you haven't yet completed Desert Treasure. That sums up the drops the you need to pick up if you want a good profit. Member profit almost twice as much as Free Players. These I think beat killing Green Dragons in the Chaos Tunnels. The only way Green Dragons in the Chaos Tunnels is better profit is if you have 96 Summoning for a Pack Yak. This means their only nonvaluable drop is Mithril Med helm if fought in F2P. Like I said at the start of the guide, i make 200k-250k an hour by picking up all that stuff and selling on GE when i bank. The only other way to mazimize your profit would be to keep training your combat. With 90+ in your melee skills you can make more than what i was making. Like I said earlier though I am a member now and make well over that much per hour via Slayer and Barrows. Pics =P FAQ(Frequently Asked Questions) Does Crush weapons do better against these monster? No, as stated earlier in the guide they do not. They are weak against Slash weapons. Do they drop any other Runite armour/weapons? No, unfortunately. Will Jagex add stronger roaches later? Who Knows? Conclusion Best monster in F2P. Underrated by many low levels for lack of drops, and that is true, as this monster is recommended for those with 95+ combat. Cash flow for lower levels - 100k-150k an hour at minimum requirements. Cash flows for recommended levels - 200k+ per hour. Note that those cash flows are for those with high luck like me. Do not try this if you have crappy luck (i.e. takes 10 trips to lessers to get one rune med drop) Thanks for reading my guide. Pics will be added by the end of the week. I hope this helps you free players out. WILL HAVE PICTURES SOON!!!!!!!!
  13. Could some1 bring me a spade on world 2. Im at part 10 of the Underground Pass quest and i've come too far to teleport to bank just for a damn spade
  14. for those who are wondering, ill normally be on world 39. ill even agree to coinshare. heh. seeing as how i really want money though i would like to know if it is better to just go alone with a borrowed godsword.
  15. Yo! Anybody got a bandos team out there that i can join at anytime. im muted but im lvl111 cb. i tried zammy a couple times. first time i teleported before even dealing sufficient damage. second time i got him down to around half health. just couldn't get him. i anna try bandos though cuz i hear its easier, especially in a team. just let me know if any of you are willing to let me join.
