  1. I'm bored.
  2. How do you guys feel about inter-solar whaling?
  3. The heating costs must have been outrageous.
  4. That's factually incorrect. The Mars base was fine, but the Mars bears were running rampant, possibly going to damage the Mars base. So a group of elite hunters went and thinned their numbers.
  5. Seems quite a bit cooler now. Don't feel like checking though.
  6. Can't tell if trolling or what. The space shuttle never landed on mars. The space shuttle wouldn't even make it to the Moon for that matter.
  7. They go up 110 miles. That's considered space. So you think we should throw everything we have at putting someone on the Moon or Mars?
  8. Like how you can sign up to go into space? "More than 400 individuals are reported to have signed up for a flight as of early 2011. [5] Each is paying $200,000 (£121,000) for the privilege of experiencing approximately six minutes of weightlessness during what will be a two-hour end-to-end flight."
  9. http://www.usdebtclock.org/ Note how Defense comes in third for how much we spend on. And there was a lot of time in between the manned Moon missions and now where we didn't go. Space travel at the moment is just not economically feasible on a large scale. That's why companies like SpaceX are trying to make it cheaper, so we can do more, and they can get fantastically, ridiculously rich.
  10. We don't have a rocket big enough. And it costs a lot of money.
  11. Baby steps halo.
  12. That's the sulfur-y volcanic moon of Jupiter right? I think probably, even if only extremophile bacteria.
  13. You could also use that to say that all other advanced life is capable of faster-than-light travel. The way I see it, the universe is ~13 billion years old. There has to be more life besides us out there. And I'm pretty sure at least one civilization will be at our level, if not past it. It's entirely possible, maybe even probable that there's more advanced species out there. But it's food for thought if we're the cutting edge. I'm also confident there's other life out there, even if not sentient. @the equation, It really comes down to probability. If there's a one trillionth of a chance of a single celled organism on a planet, then big whoop, our own galaxy has billions of stars, with who knows how many planets, it's just bound to happen. Edit: I understand that the chances are likely even more minuscule, I just didn't feel like going into it.
  14. @ Nex, If you're referencing the shuttle being cut, NASA is piggybacking off of private space corporations. They're already trying to make spaceflight cheaper so that one day you or I could go to space. I dunno why everyone's crying about NASA, they never intended to put the average joe in space. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_X @Killer You say we're not all that advanced, but that's because we have ideas for super advanced things, we just can't build them. For all we know the next most advanced sentient life form is dreaming of how to ride his equivalent of a horse.
  15. Did you ever wonder if maybe we're the most advanced species in the Universe? Maybe one day other species will base their civilizations/ lifestyles off of us?
  16. he looks like a pedophile.
  17. >liking captain planet I hope you guys never did this.
  18. Lifehack time?
  19. Whoa im not hot as balls anymore.

  21. Get out of here with your mid-low 80's halo. You're not welcome.
  22. He must have missed the part where it said, REAL FEEL 102.
  23. Seany is too busy wiping the sweat away with a towel to be mad. Not even exaggerating
