It isn't about them owning our debt. If we help them, I see us getting very little out of it except feeling good. My point with the debt, is that they have the capability to help themselves. If they want to pay us for our help, I'd be happy for us to roll up our sleeves and charge over there with gusto. We don't even have to make a profit, just come out at 0.

Oh its funny cuz its a boob joke. I don't really like huge boobs... You left out the part where we're trying to avoid getting tossed into the streets ourselves. If you want to help every person in trouble everywhere, you'll soon find you're the one in trouble and suddenly, no one wants to help you. We dump so much money into foreign aid and get almost nothing to show for it, so saying [bleep] money is part of what got us into this monetary mess. And we're back on politics.

They're suffering problems with overcrowding so they've obviously got a lot of people. According to the US Treasury japan owns 882 BILLION dollars of our debt as of Dec. 2010. Thats 882,000,000,000. But they can't help themselves.

They're well enough off to buy our debt, but they can't help themselves?

Is it wrong that I'm wondering why, if Japan is the second-largest foreign owner of our debt, why are they asking for our help?
