so am i required to bring anything with to dig? cause ive been ddiggin everywhere

i know, but it doesnt help at all. there are so many spots you can dig and ive been digging everywhere. has anybody even done this?

Dig near some giant mushrooms, behind the Grand Tree. Ive been looking on the internet as well as this site, for where to dig. and i go all around the mushroom patch and dont find it. Can anyone give me some coordinates or something? help please.
