I can not agree that these weapons were made for the purpose of PvP, even if they have value in the field. I think Jagex will be using these pumped up items to bring out more challenging encounters, which they have stated they are releasing. Question is, will there be a shift in focus in the future rewards. We see the melee upgrades here, but do you think we will see more upgrades to mage equipment (Considering the skill in a combat scene is nowhere near as useful as Melee and Range) I think we will see even more powerful encounters from these items, and I was actually a little disapointed to see their cost reduced so much in the update, but understandable. Point is, don't look at what is already here, but what is to come.
