Unconditonal Love Cascading water trickles down the corroded stones. Ivy covered trees provide the perfect amount of shelter to set the scene. The sun emerges from a heavy cloud in the sky, illuminating the area as if God himself was shining down. And yet, nothing shines as brightly as her face. Her eyes meet mine and I feel the warmth from her gaze. Knowing that this time, everything is perfect, and everything is real. I reach out and grab her hand, pulling it closer towards my body. Just having her there gives me strength. I smile to myself because I know and she knows; together we know this mutual feeling of love. She snuggles closer towards me and I can feel the warmth of her breath on my neck. Moments like these define the reason why I exist, why I survive each and every day. Without her support I would be nothing more than a lonely sailboat in an endless sea of waves. The scene before us unfolds but yet, its almost frozen in time. Frozen in this perfect moment. This endless moment. I close my eyes and let the feeling take over. The feeling of being loved. I let the words escape from my mouth, I love you. Not with prudence, not afraid. I dont have to expect a response, its automatic. She smiles and shows her wonderful features. I cant help but smirk. Im lucky, incredibly lucky, too lucky to have such a girl. I pull her closer to me; our embrace could never be tight enough. Happiness exudes from every orifice on my body. Pouring out like sweat after running a half marathon. The cause? Her. Its always her. No sadness anymore, only the feeling of euphoria that she induces. Its almost nauseating the amount of my heart she possesses. Yet, I dont worry. I dont even think twice about giving her the key to my heart. She deserves it. This storybook romance, something I had always dreamed about, was finally here. Ill never let you go. Those words I know Ill never have to forget. A Love Lost Looking back on those days, we were so reckless; we lived without a care in the world. Getting drunk in the back of cars at twelve oclock on a weekday, man, we did it all. It was the summer of my junior year in high school when I met her. I was a little shy; her looks intimidated me from a mile away. Ill never forget the first time I saw that smile. Blonde hair, blue eyes, B-cup; hell, she was everything a man could look for and more. Things happen so fast, you know? One second I was too afraid to kiss this girl and the next I was drunk enough to shove my tongue down her throat. We ended up dating a week after we met. She was so amazing to be around, always with little sparkles in her eyes I used to stare at her just to glance a smile. We just sort of, clicked; it was like yin and yang, for every flaw I had she just seemed to balance it out with perfection. I pretty much worshiped the ground she walked on. What can I say, she made me happy, and she made me feel good. We dated all that year, and kept on going into summer. That was probably the best summer of my life, full of keggers and Kenny Chesney. I cant remember not having a good time the entire summer; hell, it was impossible to have a bad time when I had my baby there with me. Everyone just knew we were together, we were perfect. I love you. I love you completely and entirely; I am yours. Ill never forget that day. It was my birthday, the big eighteen, the start of my senior year at high school. I came home from school that day and she surprised me. There were rose petals trailing from the front of my driveway all the way up the stairs and into my room. I didnt understand, just thought my dog might have gotten at a bag of roses or something. She was sitting on my bed with a card in her hand, looking so beautiful. She really outdid herself that day; she was the most stunning thing I had ever seen, classier than the classiest of chicas. I mean it, man, she was just that pretty. Anyways, I went and sat down next to her. She looked at me, looked so deeply into my eyes; I swear she was looking into my thoughts. And I just stared, captivated by the site of her, by those pearl-like blue eyes. She kissed me, a quick peck, just enough to make smile. I pulled away and looked at my lap, the envelope laying there. It was an ordinary birthday card, except she got me a Spiderman one. He was always my idol and all. I opened up the card and inside was the sweetest thing I ever received. I never cried so hard. We ended up getting engaged, our senior year in high school. People always told us we were too young, we werent ready for what marriage offers. [cabbage]. We were in love, madly in love at that. She was my everything, my entire world. Ill never forget the day I lost her. It was raining that day, and she was coming over late. Her dad had flipped out about her grades, he slapped her. I remember the rage I felt inside, like a thousand fires burning through my body. I was going to kill him, I really was. She calmed me down though, just like she always does, hearing her voice on the phone just made me forget everything else. She promised me she was okay, that she was still coming over. I could hear the crying she was trying so desperately to hold back. I remember hearing the police sirens, seeing the ambulance, getting the phone call. I remember the look on her mothers face, her dads tears. Everything went slow motion, I couldnt feel, this must be a dream, right? She cant be gone, no, not her, someone else. I pretended she was okay; she would be in my arms later that night. I wish I still believed that. Untitled As I stare into her eyes I can feel time slip away slowly, like sand inside an hour glass, each grain falling at it's own pace. I'm nervous, shaking, utilizing every inch of self control inside me just to remain calm, it's just that she's so beautiful, like a single crimson rose enclosed by several inches of snow, illuminating every single detail. Perfection, flawless, no amount of words could describe the way this girl makes me feel. I want her to be mine, I crave her touch, her voice, her presence. She makes it so that nothing else matters, not at this second, or this minute, or even this hour, all she makes me care about is making this one faultless moment last for eternity. My brain is vibrating at a million thoughts an hour, does she like me? Should I kiss her? What if I seem too forward, what if i'm not forward enough? Ignoring my prudence, I slowly reach my hand out, unsure whether I'm controlling it or if my sub-conscious has other plans. I look down, her hand is there, only inches from mine and all I want is to hold it and never let go. I can feel the sweat beginning to form on my hand from my apprehension, like dew materializing on leaves. My hand touches hers, my whole body is instantly made of rubber, butterflies in my stomach would be an enormous understatement. I look up cautiously, anxious that she will be alarmed, or worse, disgusted. She smiles, the most wonderful smile in the world, takes hold of my hand, kisses my cheek with her soft lips, and whispers into my ear something barely audible. "I love you with all my heart."
