no it does'nt i'm using this route all the time just try it and you will see that you can get pass it :)

i have added a new route to barrows here's the pic: the route is marked in red you just go and use the boat no quest needed except started nature's spirit. Enjoy. :) EDIT: Moderators let me know if you're going to use this on website :) It has been Confirmed and requires a Mapper to please add in the details. ~Aura
