  1. I know that previously, the only way to get a new catspeak was to talk to the sphinx but you couldn't have one in your inventory or in your bank. If you dropped the catspeak on the ground then got a new one, you would get a message in your chat box if you tried to pick up the 2nd. It's been a long time since I even tried so maybe they did update/make a change....don't know. Same goes with the Camulet. Maybe I'll hop on and see. *Edit: Ok...must have been an update or something. I was able to get multiple Catspeak from the sphinx (as long as I dropped the ones in my inventory/bank before talking to him). Oh well...nevermind then, I guess this thread was pointless lol
  2. Normally, you can only have 1 catspeak amulet (if you dropped it and got a new one from the Sphinx, you couldn't pick up the one you dropped) and 1 camulet (no 'drop' option). However, they're combined into the Cramulet, you can go to the Sphinx and get a replacement catspeak and the guy in the tomb to get a replacement camulet. Personally, I like having 2 of everything in my bank so I just made a 2nd cramulet, but you could get a new catspeak and have that enchanted again (not that you really need the enchanted one, but if you did, you could :) )
  3. Definitely try the 1-hit with the defilers. I died a couple times because I ran out of special attack. The best tip I can give, is to make sure you're completely healed up (sara brew if necessary) so that the Queen's special attack doesn't kill you. Then eat up quickly to regain the lost life and get back to the attack. Taking 1 hit from her special should give you enough time to get at least 1 more hit in with Korasi's special attack. So long as the defilers are focused on you, the archers will kill off the healers fairly quick and that makes all the difference (at least it did for me).
  4. Hmm...not sure. I still had the set from MEP1, it was in my costume room at the time, I just hadn't gotten it yet. I wish one of my other characters was anywhere NEAR able to do Within The Light...then I'd just check it out and get a screenshot :( oh well.
  5. Hmm...that may be it. I killed a mourner on the pass (which the guide says), not in the HQ. That must be the difference. Do the HQ mourners drop clothes that are in good condition? whereas the mountain pass mourners drop bloodied clothes? It was driving me crazy when I was doing the quest because I kept trying to give the clothes to Arianwyn and nothing would happen.
  6. I can confirm this for you. When I did this quest, I would just 1-hit the defilers (both of them) and just takes the little damage they dealt. As long as 2 of them were alive in the room, no others would show up (at least they didn't the entire time I was doing this). Also...at least for me, not all my allies would be killed with the Queens uber attack. All the allies that were fighting melee would get killed, and the 2 archers that the Queen was facing would die, but the other 6 archers would survive.
  7. Hmm...that's a lot of good info, thanks all :). The one team I did go with flew through pretty quick...they were rather high level actually so I guess I got lucky but they definitely knew what they were doing. I felt like such a noob lol. With them, they had 1 guy that was making armour for everyone (and fighting when he could). It was nice because I was able to get and bind some items that I couldn't make myself. They cleared everything and we got 21k xp from a C6 5:5 Large floor. I might try and look those guys up again. for 21k exp, just do penguins. That's how I'd level if I were that close anyway. :)
  8. If you want one of the best ways to train and get the points (once you've done the quest) just remember that every 10th and 50th task gives bonus points for whichever master you use for THAT tast. Example...your level is high enough to use Duradel (Lapalok after WGS), but you prefer Chaeldar. For tasks 1-9 you use Chaeldar (10 points each task) and on task #10, switch to Duradel/Lapalok (15 points x 5 for it being the 10th task). The same goes for your 50th task except that it's 15x the usual # of points.
  9. Ok...I got a question for all Dungeoneers. What is the best way to train Dungeoneering? Honestly, I'm more interested in tokens than in leveling, but since 1 is based on the other, I guess it really doesn't matter. I'm looking for the best/fastest way to train Dungeoneering.I've solo's 26 floors and went with a group on 1 floor. Since I've only done a group once (5 people, 5:5, C6, Large) it's hard for me to say if it's better to do a small dungeon fast, or a large dungeon slower. I've seen a LOT of different opinions; Big groups, small groups, solo, max complexity, low complexity it's faster, always max floor size, do a group on a small floor (again for speed), kill everything, just get to the boss, check every room, only open the door to every room but don't waste time on deadends, use all resources, just get it done, etc etc etc. What I'm basically looking for is options. If possible, could you give me reasons/examples of why your way works over another way. Thanks a million SunbladeDRGN
  10. No, actually that answers my question perfectly. If I had been smart, I would've tested the whole prestige thing after only doing a few floors...that way I wouldn't be out much if I had to redo. Now I'm up to floor 28 and I really didn't want to risk having to redo the previous 27 floors lol. Thanks alot, that was very helpful :D
  11. Ok...I'll admit...I'm a bit of a Dungeoneering noob. I've only been in a group once, solo'd the rest. I've used Tears, Penguins and lamps to get my Dungeon level higher (currently @ 65). However, I'm confused about the Prestige and resetting of the ring. I understand the basics of it, but I still have a question that hopefully someone can answer. Let's say that based on my level, I can go as high as floor 33. I've done floors 1-30 but then a bunch of my friends want to make a group but aren't up to floor 31 and I want to join them. If I 'reset' my ring, then my prestige is locked at 30. Now...say the plan fell through, I didn't go with them, whatever....if I now go to floor 31 on my own, will my prestige increase? or do I have to redo floors 1-30? Basically, once you 'reset' the ring...do you have to redo all the floors before your prestige will go up again? I know...it's kinda confusing but I can't think of any other way to explain it.
  12. To be honest, I was going to go back and try for the Skeleton champ again but decided against it. All the champs I have left (with the exception of Banshee) all drop bones. I'll admit...I'm an xp [bleep] :) I hate killing and just leaving bones lying around. I always pick up all my bones and bury them (regular, big, dragon, whatever). This becomes very time consuming when trying for a champ scroll. I've decided to train up Dungeoneering, strictly for the tokens though (I'm already level 65 dung), so that I can buy the 'Bonecrusher'. I really think the Bonecrusher is a must have for anyone going after champ scrolls. It only takes up the 1 inventory spot and saves you tons of time by burying all your bones for you...that can add up to a TON of prayer xp. So anyway...that's where I am now...just need to find a good group to do dungeons with (otherwise I'm only getting 500 tokens a floor :()
  13. Actually...all I was saying is that the Elite Knight I pointed out will give you a piece of the set every single kill. The other Elites down there (from what others have said anyway) do not always drop a piece and you have to kill many to end up with the full set. That's all I was saying. :)
  14. Woot!! I just got the Lesser Demon scroll after about...500-600 kills!! :D That's 5 down, 5 to go before I can take on the Human champion!!
  15. Sweet guide! I haven't had a chance to read through the whole thing, but I didn't see the Mining Guild resource dungeon listed. This would seem to be an ideal spot for those with 45+ dungeoneering. It's the only mine with 3 runite rocks.
