  1. ^Low is my favourite Rs player :P

We were kind of racing 200m range vs 200m dung, was amazed how he was able to keep up. He can play pure all nighters, + he has alot of easy skills left open. Also has quite a bit of slay exp, so I feel that he's a definite contender for the top 15 in the (near) future :)

  2. ugh the "math skills" being talked about is just simple arithmetic you learn in Jr high. you can't go to harvard with that.

Vouch this, if you can't handle the sight of simple caculations, why are you in a discussion thread like this?

Also Xensure, would it be possible for your spreadsheet to incorporate the rates if one were to use effigies on slayer? I'm not too familar with google spreadsheets

Where did I say that it was rocket science or something? Xen/Thai and possibly a few others are definitely into maths though, expanding on that would likely interest them if they aren't 'there' already. Either way, this is a discussion (thread) about who reaches 200m in all skills and the possibility of it, if it turns into pure calculations and bickering about why you should use dkl on fish instead of agil for example, well, yeah. Pointless to argue, it seems - so whatever.

Ty Arib, and Jojoe, time for a church of Zarfot vid perhaps? ;)

  3. *wonders why people think this game will exist longer than +5 years*

Guys, be careful not to nerdify the thread please. Not everyone likes to solve EVERYTHING with math... >.> it's nice you have the brain capacity to make those calculations, but use them to go study at Harvard or something (getting requirments first ofc) instead of wasting it on Runescape lol. Following the most efficient way (aka that spreadsheet) would make bootcamp look like a freaking 5 star vacation. 'But some people have done this!!!!' yeah, few hours a day for like 2 weeks max? No one is able to do those things the way they've been written down longterm, mainly because it doesn't allow to do anything else at the same time (either requiring too much focus or missing the max xp/h possible due to it) + it would take years either way. *injects the thread with a dose of reality* There, glad we figured that one out.

@Xensure: I believe the purpose of the thread is who will reach 200m in all skills and whether its possible to do or not. Imo, posting tedious ways like spending 7k hours at cave crawlers (seriously guys LOL) doesn't improve that discussion in any way. If you need something to bicker about, join a math club if making calculations about things that only a handful of people take interest in is where you get your kicks from (let alone that no one would be able to do it the fair way atleast aka not acc sharing or anything). On that note, efficiency is merely a sub topic on this thread aswell and should definitely not become the main point of discussion. I'd rather read a -50% post quantity if the quality improves, so to say.

@ 200m range gratzers: Tyvm :) ! Also, slayer is not a cb skill, so it has nothing to do with becoming the ultimate cb master or w/e. Just because slayer is a skill that you can gain exp for doesn't make it superior to its camping counterpart. It's a matter of preference, and nothing more. It's the actual cb skills that count. Anyone who finds there's something beyond that is either a slayer fanboy or a camper troller. It usually goes mixed together.

+5 years - 2 things. First, it has already existed 10 years and 5 more isn't too unreasonable. Second, who spends 18 hours a day playing a game that is hopeless it will last just a few more years longer.

^I don't suppose you play many other games? If Rs continues to run on Java, there WILL be new games that are going to outclass it. The appeal that Rs has is: decent f2p content, detailed highscores and high difficulty to reach levels/exp (time consuming). Wilderness/free trade/staking will return, not really an appeal, but it will draw in money from rwt dealers, botters and pkers. The pkers are usually young and either got too attached to Rs's pk mechanics to find that appeal in another game, or just don't know any better. Like you said, Rs has been up and running for 10 years, which is a positive thing for them aswell. They've built up quite a few loyal players who won't go easily. Difficulty has been dropping for a long while now, and the other appeals that Rs has are slowly crippling aswell. Wilderness/free trade is returning for a reason, you know. But feel free to explain why you think Rs will survive atleast 5 more years? :)

Yes kids, take a lesson from drumgun here. Use dem math skills for better things than RS, lol what a waste. btw wuts maths lol idk i just going 2 keep playin rs cuz doze crosses and dashes and stuff dont maeka sense 2 me. ppl who do math go to harvard obviously and those who dont obviously nolyfe a game that won't exist in 5 years. obviously.

^Harvard 'or something', it was just a random example. Edit: Kinda agree with Squishers point a few posts below, either way, would be a good idea to make use of those brains and earn some good money I'd say :P . As stated in previous posts, Rs isn't all that I focus on. So, obviously you should learn to read more carefully.

Slaying obviously has nothing to do with combat in any way lol whered u guys get that idea r u stupid. obviously it's just a matter of preference. It is a well known fact that it takes no more skill to learn the best ways to kill a set of 20 monsters as opposed to just killing abyssal demons.

^Since when are you bound to killing one type of monster if you don't train your combat with slayer? Abby demons isn't all that I've killed, and even so, that's not even an objective statement - it's not like everyone that doesn't train cb with slayer kills abby demons alot lol.

@Thai: Of course some maths is fine, but 5+ pages of just maths is a bit too much I would say (feel free to disagree lol, just my opinion). Not saying that the info isn't interesting, I just feel that it's a bit too off topic concerning the actual thread to be discussed in such detail :o . It would fit perfectly into an efficiency thread for all skills, or, as suggested earlier, a guide of the most efficient training ways for each skill. :P

Edit: Thanks Zhow :) , though Rs wise, Zarfots efficiency hasn't been thrumped by anyone else, so mediocre certainly doesn't fit him I would say :o

  4. Another factor to consider with rc'ing to 200m at zmi is that they'll be able to venge other, cast imbue, etc. with the runes they're getting. We can factor in another 30-50k mage xp/hr on top of what they'll get at zmi. In theory if they were super rich they could have a cannon running at the same time, maybe fletch - but that wastes 3 inv spots, or something else.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think if anyone in the top 15 were to look for it they could find a few very reliable runners that would commit to helping them out for a few hours every day in exchange for gps. I know at least a dozen people that all relied on double nats almost exclusively for income until the market tanked and most of them were knocking out 5-6k nats an hr without a sweat. With these kinds of runners, I'm guessing anymore then 3-4 runners you may very well end up with a line waiting to trade you a lot of the time.

no need to fletch there no need to cannon there maybe magic imbue but in reality youd be hoping to be trading/crafting all the time and not worry bout imbu ing

But there may be a need to fletch there if too much wc xp is gotten opening effigies :ohnoes: what else is a decent skill to fletch while doing, except agility, rc, slayer, fishing?

I'm also wondering arib. How far would you take the whole cave crawler thing? xensure shows that it is best for 5 non combat 200m's

If i had the money id probably do it

I'd say do slayer and RC at cave crawlers, then do Agility at black dragons, then Fishing at black demons. Maybe throw in some TDs as well to break up the monotony.

    Welcome to EffigyScape or CavecrawlerScape.

  5. last 5 pages sucked to be honest, langer pls post a precipated update to cancel all those discussions

Lol, do you have divine power? I'm going on holidays in Jamaica tomorrow, so I'll post a weekly update later today, something I rarely do on thursdays.

    :( ????????????????

You're gonna miss my 200m ranged then =[ and I was looking forward to that being in the update lol. Anyway have fun m8! Jamaica...buy me a ticket aswell plox? XD

@Zhow: I believe earlier in the thread it was said that Suomi is doing slayer after dg :)

  6. Well, not exactly inefficient - more like horrific lol. The slayer exp of all top players was low before all those slayer updates came out that made it fun. Everyone was envying Skateenjoi for training that horrific skill that was slayer past 100m. All skills 200m wasn't on anyones mind back then, it's just that people got lucky with all them updates on slayer. I was already halfway through maxing combat (without training slayer) when slayer became do-able 200m exp wise before going mentally insane in attempt of trying. Can't reverse that, would've been a long way off 200m slayer either way. And no, I don't have any Jagex mods added that tell me about some future updates either haha. It was just bad luck - getting punished for taking initiative basically. CombatScape anyone? :\

Iamsomebody, it would be nice if you actually read posts instead of well....whatever you're doing. I'm not posting this for fun, you know lol

  7. your an idiot sir

    bleh bleh

    250k with draconic jadinkos

    bleh bleh bleh

    Thanks.

But you better get real and realize that juju hunter potions don't take 0 time.

No lackies [sic. per the mascot wannabe] are going to be able to get it for you.

Nor is it meaningful to talk about farming on an xp/hr basis without considering you can only grow so many things per day.

But, please get 200mil in everything but farming then show us how its done like on the spreadsheet.

The actual training from latest video I was going off of my friend with 130m hunt xp made was 275k or so xp/h but that was before jebrim pointed out another vid being 300k+ so its actually even faster then I originally said.

Also sorry for sounding like an a.. on some of my recent posts my bad, bad last year or so and just been thinking alot today so not good day, again my bad (=

and you just got the level card pulled on you by drumgun....ouch

then again its not a grindfest debate, when it comes to xp/h and efficiency arib knows what hes talking about

Extreme example, but if a lvl 3 with no experience at all watches a few pro skiller vids, then comes on here and starts snaring at other people with the info that they gained from those vids, would you accept it or say 'go get your levels up little man/woman'?

Btw it's getting old/boring how you keep targetting me Squisher, try someone else would ya?

Edit: yeah fair enough you've had a bad day Ari, you posted that after my post though (just saying aswell) :P

I've actually tested the charms/slayer thing btw, so that's not hear-say on my part. As for being inefficient...don't troll man, you've read my posts a few pages ago, though feel free to explain why I'm inefficient in your eyes (asked for this few pages ago aswell but got no answer). I can understand why Squisher alias Toony pride would do it, but you? ;)

  8.

anyways, why would anyone train construction with zombie implings or even farm more than the tree/fruit/special patchs?

    I wouldnt do it, lol.

Well, not people who gained the majority of their money by being gen rank in a 'merch' clan atleast, it seems! :P

@Aribiter: Ari, do you have a main or something? Because if not, I don't really think you should be scolding other players about how much exp/h a certain skill method is, unless we're talking about dung or rc (judging on your stats on Aribiterspar). People like to make up numbers, so please test for yourself first instead of using hear-say as an argument.

    @Paperbag: Right on, mate :)

As for spreadsheet...updates will mess it up, trust me lol. All of them have been against me so far (To answer Andmartel, my 200m skills have been devalued alot since I got them). +, I'm sure arcane also applied the superheating method on me while I would be missing out on the mage exp for example, hence low position. It's incorrect, though :P. 1m an hour for summoning? Last time I checked, slayer is only 1:1 charms if you pick up all 4 sorts. gl using all 4 and manage an average of 1m an hour lol!.

*waits for agil fish and slayer to become alot easier* ^_^

  9. There is currently a "race" going on between Telmomarques, Paperbag and Suomi that will determine which player will become the second to get 8 skills at 200M.

My projections put Suomi in the lead with about 25 days left, Paperbag with 40 days left and Telmomarques with 60 days left if he keeps on slaying past 50M xp.

Telmo is doing prayer soon I think, so he should be closest.

  10. This has nothing to do with 200m in all skills, but rather a question for you drumgun: why do you keep your adventure log private?

Dw I'm most likely making it public when my alog gets more interesting :) was just preference I guess!

  11. I was recently talking to Water, (Last night)

and he has some plans >.<

He told me that After 200m Strength he'll be getting 200m Magic.

then After that, he Said hes banked a few Buyable Skills, like Cooking and Fm (Maybe even a few more)

So he'll most likely pass El popo1 in the next 6 months lol

Ohh! sounds like a plan indeed :P gl Water!

@Miracle: if you're 99 range they last for 990k exp, that includes the exp you'd normally get, so its 495k extra. :P

  12. How you get your money doesn't seem to matter to most people anymore...(respect wise and stuff). Honestly tempted to ditch the hard working diy way and look into them other options a bit.

You going to trim armor? :)

Lmao Zygi! Fell for that once actually. Omg my full black set *sheds a tear* XD

@Maka: Margins have gotten way too narrow and I'm not sure how free trade is going to affect it all (merching). Of course I'll do bosses etc, but I'm mainly playing to entertain the people now remember. All cb skills 200m is a special achievement imo, and it might be nice to give people a chance to contribute to it. It's more like a community feel (a certain closeness) that would make everybody happy. I'll be happy to achieve the actual goal, and they'll be happy to actually see it happen (in style too, get it in a week possibly) and possibly a bit proud aswell since they added their part to it (big or small, either way).

It's hard when you play to entertain others and it does hurt when you're off slaving at bandos etc 18h a day while others make 10x the money by practically doing nothing (which atleast includes clan 'merching', which will be converted into scamming again when free trade returns), then those people get praised all the same (possibly even more) due to their big exp gains that you get from buyable skills. Safe to say I've had my fair share of that so far and free trade isn't gonna help out against that at all >.<. I'll do my best atleast, I guess...

Edit: Hi Jamie! Did I get you to post or wut lol :D! I'll Nag Elias with ya *evil grin* XD

  13. Seems like suomi keeps dunging.. he's at 109m xp now

Im very curious as to what his plans are

All buyables 200m once free trade is out? XD

Wonder how much he's gonna get though, + saw Kngkyle ranting how some of his (high level) friends have major donations (billions) lined up for them already. Hooray? :s

How you get your money doesn't seem to matter to most people anymore...(respect wise and stuff). Honestly tempted to ditch the hard working diy way and look into them other options a bit.

  14. I didn't realise Drumgun was #2 for exp now. Not very far off #1 either. It really would be nice to see him get rank 1, partly because it's great advertising for our forums having the rank 1 player actively using it, but also because it will be the first time I can remember where the rank 1 player actively seeks out community where previous ones have all seemed to shy away from it.

    <3

I'll be rank 1 exp for a short while atleast I think, depends how much fletching/dung/wc I'm gonna do before working on prayer :). #2 exp is about 1 week away atleast, + Aasi still gaining good exp though so who knows.

*looks suspiciously at Langer* own style huh? XD lol.

  15. Lol thanks Kvebalas, I'm gonna do tds instead of abby demons so hopefully that will put your mind to rest a bit !  and yeah... :P

@Oscar: That makes sense actually :o will be interesting to see if she can get it done before Tezz goes 'vrooooooooooom' XD

  16. Thanks for the update Langer ;-) Very interesting.

Id like to say something about Efficiency. I personally value consistency over it anyday. While im leaning towards drumgun to get this goal first, its only if he lets the haters fuel his desire to get it. In reading his posts it seems he has his own priorities and isnt worried about it very much. His records speak for themselves and he has the consistancy to get there pretty easily. I know everyone thinks Drumgun gets worshipped here but what hes done is amazing so i see nothing wrong with giving the man his props. That said ive got admiration for all these top players and the way the play the game. Drumgun is merely my "lead dog" in this race. (also i gotta say kingduffy's consistancy in all skills is pretty damn awesome)

Awhhh oi you! Very nice of you to say that :) merci ! (and roar lol)

@Maka: I'm sure some of it is mockery XD that church of Drumgun vid was kinda funny though lmao! + people did ask for more insight from the best skillers on our goals etc, so voila ;)

@Enforcer, Nick & DNA: Thanks! Well, a bit of dung atleast (not to 120), possibly fletching, and making money for the remainder of 200m prayer. I'm actually thinking of a donation thread for that or something since free trade will be coming out soon, then atleast I wouldn't have to start merching lol XD and dunno if it would comply with the rules. Prefer to get things on my own though, but the amounts that are required for 200m prayer might be a bit out of my league to earn (depends how I'll do at tds etc)

Was gonna comment on something haha - uhm I noticed rank 2 slayer has completely stopped gaining exp :o if Tezz keeps slaying, he might beat her to rank 2 200m slayer? Keep in mind though, she has around 300 effigies and states she would use them if her rank got passed.

  17. Drumgun makes a good point about efficiency. I think first off most people don't actually understand what the word means and they throw it around meaninglessly in debates on these forums, which just leads to pointless arguments about nothing. Another factor that I think people don't take in to account is that fact that you can not change the past. Suomi already has 200m agility and fishing. He is done with those two skills, he never has to train them again. People are saying he is at a disadvantage because he has 2 effigy combos blocked, but that means nothing. He is at no disadvantage because he doesn't need to train those skills anymore so the effigy xp is useless to him. The only argument people can logically put forth about suomi is that his when/if he gets 200m all skills his play time will be greater than someone who trained with the most efficient methods to 200m all skills. Frankly suomi is quite efficient he is training dungeoneering right now which should be done before he maxes cmb or any other skills. He was alching at teaks which is extremely efficient. I have also heard that he plans on doing slayer after dungeon, now I don't know if that is true, but if it is that would be the most efficient thing to do.

The same idea applies to drumgun, everything he already has done only gives him an advantage over other players, having max cmb and low slayer doesn't not give him a disadvantage at all. Yes, it may mean that when/if he ever gets 200m all skills his play time will be greater than maximum efficiency, but that does not mean he can't be efficient in the future. He has stated that his current goal is to get 200m in the first 12 skills. He is currently training range the fastest way possible in the game. Thus making this the most efficient way to get to his goal.

If one were to be the most efficient possible in regards to play time, they would be sitting logged out waiting for updates to make skills faster. The race to 200m all skills takes place in real time, so some times its better to be effective if you can hold pace for long periods of time rather than trying to maximize xp per hour played.

Question: Drumgun, are you going to beat your 53m week since you got void back now? You would have to start now since you only have 60m left. You are also only 2m away from Gert's ranged monthly record. But there may be no need to beat your record since you already have 19m on olivier in second place.

Atleast 1 person who understands! Thanks, lol.

Langers only applicable point to me being inefficient would be the way to make money. A few years ago, people weren't all that open about their merchanting tips. I was still unknown, and only had friends in the Castle Wars circuit. There were 1 or 2 merchers in there, but they didn't want to share their 'secret' to make good money. Now unlike me, other 'top skillers' that you see today were all relatively famous at the time already. For example, I bet you all my money that Lan, Aasiwat, Kingduffy etc etc were 1 of the first people to know that waterfiends were the fastest way to gain charms (or rock lobs). They had resources (connections) already (same goes for Zarfot who is famous mainly via youtube). I had to build something up, all on my own, yet I made it purely on effort and determination. It was the most efficient way to gain money at the time considering circumstances. Oh, and as for merching now, the margins have gotten way too small for it to be a serious way to gain 20b geepees.

I'm not arrogant, but I'm very much a 'give credit where credit is due' kind of person, and I do seek adequate appericiation for my efforts, as motivation to keep going. I know there are fanboys of other top players out there who like to the competition for their favourite player, but it would be nice if atleast the objective people (of whom I thought would be on this thread) would consider things correctly instead of calling me inefficient. You should be calling me unlucky instead. Lrc came out while I was nearly 200m magic already. No one did the superheating method before that, because back then, training on granite and smithing addy/rune plates was the most efficient way to train those skills. What was I to do? give up all my plannings and goals while I was close to 200m magic already, just because of an update? Please. The only tiny thing that you could call me inefficient for is that I train wc on ivy's instead of teaks. Then again, so does Aasiwat, yet he gets called an efficient player earlier in the thread. Not saying that he isn't, just don't go labelling me as an inefficient player either then. In my eyes, people who call me inefficient are either trolling fanboys/jealous people or have no idea what they're talking about.

@Pere: Yes, did about 500m combat exp on abby demons. Did the remainder on armoured zombies, because I had gained enough money to complete my goal. :)

@Arbiter: A few years ago, absolutely no one had 200m in all skills as a goal. The only reason why a few consider now is because Rs has gotten so f'ing easy that it's actually viable for them to do. You think these people planned it all out ages ago? Hahaha. What most people are doing now is basically giving credit to the people who couldn't be bothered a few years ago - that's why they haven't trained some skills like slayer to 200m yet and have them still 'open'.

If I had the chance to, of course I would consider my options and would have probably done things differently. Infact, I would also be interested in 200m all skills in that case. But I had a goal, a big one, and I took it on. That does not make me ineffecient - that makes me 1 of the best players (if not best), training almost inch perfect for over a year, 18+ hours a day. Just been really unlucky with updates ontop of that - which has now degraded to a very good, but not extraordinary level, also making some of my choises seem like stupid ones. Can't predict updates though, and no, few would have expected for combat to get the majority of Jagex's attention, since there are alot of less bearable skills on Rs that desperately need attention. But hey guess what Jagex did, they gave us effigies in attempt to fix that problem. But how do you gain effigies? BY TRAINING COMBAT.

@Xen: I'm satisfied with my 53m ranged week record, so won't be beating that :P + I promised my gf I'd mix things up a bit and do a few things with her, since I don't need the entire month (full 31 days) to get the month ranged record/200m xp since I started from 51m.

  18. My clanchat is for friends only. Believe it or not, but I actually don't like standing in the spotlights much lol. It also enables me to skill more efficiently....and people call me inefficient XD har har. But nah, I talk on alot of things other than rs already (mainly making deals and such). I could open my cc but I wouldn't actually be in there, and I think that would dissapoint people alot more than that I keep it for friends only. Atleast now, when 1 of my friends has an issue, I can call them over to my cc and try to help them in peace :)

And oi oi guys, let's keep things pleasant :P

    ur inefficient br0.

I think the slowest skills would be the best to max first. Slayer, Agility..etc. But certainly start with Slayer. Use the Effigies to lob millions of exps off your others.

U wouldn't even be able to say this a few years ago, because nobody used to slay back then. Let's face it; it was a crap skill, back then you HAD to do the tasks that got assigned to you if you wanted to progress in slayer. Some people were already long underway cb wise at that time (like me), so I wouldn't have come close to 200m slayer either way if I had started slaying when those updates came out that now makes slayer a wise choice to train such as able to cancel tasks, effigies, kuradal etc. But ok, gl ignoring those facts lmfao.

In a few years, people will be calling Suomi inefficient for having 200m agil/fish already when an update has come out that allows fishing and agil to be trained at the same time at a much more profitable/efficient/bla bla bla way. And then someone else will be praised; someone who doesn't have 200m fish and agil yet, who plays alot ---> and so, who is able to make good use of that update. How about you wake up some braincells and think about those facts instead of calling me inefficient. Infact, were you even around/able to understand the game enough to be aware of this a few years ago? Lol.

Truth is, everybody needs to have something to complain about on every top player. With Suomi for example, people whine about his donating method. It's hilarious what some people have come up concerning me so far. First manipulative screenies to make me look like a jerk, then say I gained my cb stats by playing soulwars (lmfao at this troll attempt, that would actually be more impressive since its slower), and now it's this whole 'inefficient' bs thats is clearly an unfair judgment aswell due to the above explained reason. But yeah, there will always be haters I guess.

  20. Dragonseance will be the first to 200m xp in all skills. Mark my words.

Well I'm almost convinced lol  Dragon helped me out a bit on a thread I made about finding out info on curse prayers - he seems to have the mentality atleast? But not the time, Judging on what Rocked said. We'll see though :P

Ty for the support Aud! And that's an epic screenie Poep, lmaoooo - bit weird how he talks about himself in 3rd person XD

  21. Drumgun really is gaining in Range insanely.

lol yea. Once he maxes Range, the only combat skill left for him to max is prayer, which could possibly go very fast.

He'll be at 2.35B xp already, after 200m rng :D

Oh? I've slowed down a bit actually because I had to get void back (died with it due to dc) but did get it back now so...rawr :P ; so tempted to try out the new boss though omg! Didn't expect those gear prices to be so high hehe :o

Also Zrzu, it usually doesn't need surgery - only in bad cases. I'm pretty sure meds will work for you IF it isn't very serious. And thanks Oscar ^_^ I'll try to check it out for one!

Ya I talked with my allergist about it a few months ago, the allergy shots don't make that much an Impact I'm basically almost allergic to everything outside lol and I get alot of bronchitis Etc because of sinuses idk about you but, it sucks lol he told me I'm the worst patient he's seen after 22years of being in the field :l but, I hope I can get it resolved so I can play sports and stuff

Woah dang, that does sound serious. Migraines are the main troublemakers for me, though I do have throat/lungs issues aswell yeah. Hope you feel better one day mate! Could offer you some alternative healing method advice but been through that and hasn't changed a thing lol. Was actually gonna try those allergy shots...oh well >.<

@Aasiwat: Interesting you mention dagannoth bones! I've seen 1 Eye Viper sell alot of these in exchange for something (this guy's a pretty good skiller btw), made me wonder if alot of serious skillers use these bones instead of frost :P

@Tugger: Lolol XD <3 agreed, that was magnificent!
