As said before, don't risk what u are not willing to lose. There's always going to be situations that u didn't see comming. I went to wilderness myself today, thinking I wouldn't have to fear anything with protection prayers and lots of food. What happens is, some guy freezes me and hits 300+, 300+, 200+, 100+ right trough my magic protection prayer in such a short time, that I couldn't keep up with eating. Lost all that had on me without ever hitting the guy. I didn't lose anything notable, but it just shows how unexpectable the wilderness can be. Also, what happened to you probably was not a glitch, u just got outsmarted. I'm sorry for your loss tho! :(
