Shadow Republic (est. 2006) "Lie in the shadows, live for the republic" shadowrepublic.smfforfree3.com General: After a year or so on hiatus the Shadow Republic Gaming Clan is back in the lands of Gielinor seeking to prove itself against the records of its Old Guard, an impressive 132-37 record in battle. The Old Guard, however, has gone to wandering the lands and cannot be easily recalled; thus the call to arms must be answered with a new generation of Shadow Warriors. The call is not only to be answered by foot soldiers, but by merchants, Guild Masters and Kings alike. History: The Shadow Republic was founded during the summer of 2006 as a generalist clan by a lvl 46 Patriot398. As members joined a small core formed, training and skilling together, each grew in level until the hayday with an average level of 90. The Shadow Republic held literally hundreds of events in its three and a half active years with a core of members supported by an active admin who constantly strove to improve the boards. Unfortunately, as the members grew older and more pressing life matters cut into Runescape time the activity dropped, many being swallowed by collegiate schedules and new jobs. However, with the return of unlimited trade and the return of the wilderness the clan has come back from the ashes to begin anew. A shadow warrior does not die, he merely returns to the unknown. Leadership: Admin: Patriot398 Stinkfly3301 Members: Yuke777 Go Go322 Melissa21Baatz Events: Traditionally, events in the Shadow Republic are done once a week and chosen democratically with the poll ending the day prior to the event. The following are the events in which the Shadow Republic participates in: Clan Wars Fief Wars Stealing Creation Dueling Pking Skilling Dungeon Diving Pyro Party Manhunt Snowball Fights Anything that is suggested and agreed upon Forum Events: The forum plays host to a seperate round of events from in-game events. The forums play host to the standings and organization of Tournaments, which take the form of one on one duels until a single champion emerges. Tournaments are typically held quarterly. The other events include competitions for recruitment and the various bardic aspects: art, painting, poetry, and music. Lounge: The Lounge is quite large as is and members are welcome to just chill and chat about a variety of topics. The Audio Lounge has many different bands currently in its archives and feel free to comment despite a particular band topic's age. Points: Almost everything you do in the clan gets you points. Posts, attendence at events, participating in tournaments, winning tournaments and competitions. The individual with the most points come December 31st wins a free year of Runescape membership. The Old Guard is going to be tough to beat, can you do it? Businesses: The Guilds are the businesses of the clan. Guilds function just like any other rs business with the side of serving the clan with below average prices on materials. Leadership positions available: King of Runescape: That's right, we're looking for someone to head the charge. Requirements: Must be able to attend events. The 'King' is responsible for organization of events, counting the attendees and reporting on battles. King of Combat Arms: We are also looking for a king of the combat arms branch of the clan doing pretty much the same thing as the king of Runescape. Guild Master: Guild Masters are responsible for keeping up with price fluctuations and changing the guild's prices accordingly. He/She is also responsible for making sure orders get done, assigning orders, and keeping up with guild threads on other forums (like this one). Must be able to complete orders in a reasonable amount of time. The Guild Master may create regular skilling events to help his merchants reach their goals. There are currently four of these positions available: Metalworkers Guild, Fishing Guild, Forester's Guild, and the Hunting Guild. Duke: Each lord gets a fief, a set of warriors, and is responsible for their actions during war and fief battles. A fief battle is an war between differing parts of the clan and may be held in tournament fashion with the strongest fief coming out on top and winning points. There are currently only two positions available, but more will open as more members join the clan. Members positions available Member: Regular members are always welcome and sorely needed. Bards: Artistic and creative members are welcome and encouraged to post their work on the forum and compete in the competitions for points and prizes. Merchants: Those who work the business and get paid to do so. News Reporter: A News Reporter is an individual who copies news stories from the front page and analyzes it and states what changes are being made to the game by how it affects gameplay, combat, and how it influences the clan; all deposited in the proper news section. We currently need three, one for Runescape, Combat Arms, and Battlefield Heroes.
