Glaiven boots give more armor and life than Armadyl which can be nice when fighting multiple monsters at once; however, I did say they can be changed out, and I mentioned that the barrow gloves were only decent and can be upgraded. You don't have to bring any food at all, but I like to bring them in case I'm not paying attention and I notice my health is low and want a quick HP boost. It's my personal method that others can use for guidance and tweak with their own personal likes and play styles :). The basic idea is to use the best range gear you have or whichever gear fits your style. Some people like a more defensive approach, and others like the more offensive approach.

Shortbows are a waste of money and give less experience than longbows. The extra xp at the lower levels while you are rapidly changing the types of bows you are making is hardly noticeable since you fly through those levels. You can get 1-70 Fletching in a single day. Also, I show the experience/hour and the income for every single method so you can clearly see the comparison.
