RuneScape Information

  1. Hello there, I recently applied for the crew member function of Monster hunting guide editor but sadly, I got declined. However, Jaffy1/Julie gave me the advice to offer my services through this forum, so I took the time to read through some of the monster hunting guides and here's my opinion on them. It's up to you to do something with this, but here are just my two cents :) Bandos GWD: I saw this guide was recently revised but still incomplete - No familiar inventories? YAK? Yak scrolls???? - Team tank should not wear karils top/spectral SS, because Graardors ranged attack is NOT magic based. Use torva/bandos top and a dragon defender or possibly an Elysian. Also, with all the new gear, even if you are with just two people there isnt much of a difference between attackers and tankers anymore. You might just want to mention something about the way his melee attack works and how you can best share tanking by switching tank every kill so both/all people tank equally much. - Special Weapon: Enhanced Excalibur > Dragon clawsOK??? This is just not true. If you have soul split you dont need that much healing, and if you flash SS during two claw specs you heal just as much as with EE while also dealing lots of damage. - CLS = rapier if youre maxed attacker with a dragon defender. The difference is pretty much nothing if you have turmoil, overloads and maxed stats because rapier will actually be quite accurate. - Divine is useless, if you can afford a divine you can afford some torva + elysian and you dont waste prayer while LP remains no issue Armadyl GWD: Not sure if this guide is revised yet, but anyway: - Pernix? Armadyl armour? Elysian SS? Overloads? Very incomplete guide (not sure if its done yet) and aimed only at low levels - No mention of chaotic weapons - Familiars again, no mention of any familiars even though this is one of the few spots where cool familiars such as Steel titan actually have a use Saradomin GWD: Not sure if this guide is revised yet, but anyway: - Melee soloing method, both the tanking and safespotting methods are not mentioned - Melee teaming method is not mentioned - Overloads, torva, divine etc. again - No mention of chaotic weapons Zamorak GWD: Not sure if this guide is revised yet, but anyway: - New (known for a few years now) method of tanking while praying mage is not mentioned, which is much more effective at high levels - Generally low level methods again, no mention of overloads, torva etc. Tormented demons: Guide is not updated yet I know, but Im just mentioning this: - Mage/melee hybridding with polypore staff is much more effective than ranging/meleeing - Steel titan method - New spot, shown in this video: - SSing instead of praying melee because you wont have to worry about switching prayer anymore and you heal more than you get hit - Rapier = cls = maul, mention that theres no difference here Nex guide is amazing, nice job there, don't have much to add besides maybe luring methods during (Fumus and) Umbra, and maybe something about shadow/ice lures Corp beast: I think it was recently revised and its much more complete, however: - No mention of Ganodermic armour, which makes soloing easy even without SWH - Virtus is better than karil for soloing (but worse than pernix), but ganodermic beats everything - In teams, Nezzy or fighter helm is better than virtus mask because you dont need the LP boost and offensive boosts are always good Dagannoth kings: I know this guide is still old, but here are some tips on what should be included: - Polypore staff and armadyl storm both incredibly effective - Rapier > balmung - Yakking bones/hides - Overloads - Solo/duo tribridding method killing all the bosses - Dwarf cannon during duo tribridding - Dagannoth Slayer tasks information That's it for now. I might take time to look at the other guides at a later time, but this is it for now. The Slayer
