I'm aware that you cant use it now, but in the guide, suggested items was super compost, so i thought i would be even smarter and just use the spell. so im not sure if you can use a bucket of compost, but that either needs to be taken off if you cant, or it needs to be added that you cant use fertile soil in place of a bucket of compost.

While doing Spirit of Summer. i was going to use "fertile soil" the lunar spell on the flower patch, where you grow the limproot.
