  1. ah, yes i've heard about the kafuffle there is because there not using the same model cars/trucks/veichles as in the original cartoon. The people making the film decided that they didn't want it to seem outdated so they've upgraded them to the equvilant models of today, rather than yester-year. If any of that makes sence then good, otherwise just be polite... smile and nod whilst thinking 'omgwtfbbq' Black Flat
  2. Eek, i gotta start reading closer, thats actually a general list many of those artists are from Australia, but most are just general. Nena - Germany i believe Goldfinger - Germany i believe Mike Oldfield - (not 100%) English Eskimo Joe - Australian The Killers - no idea Jet - Australian Blink 182 - American Lily Allen - no idea The Decemberists - no idea Regina Spektor - i believe Australian Wolfmother - Australian The Fray - no idea Greenskeepers - no idea Lordi - The won Eurovision, so Europe somewhere The thread's creator, say the word and my post is gone... 3. Very much so, i'm definantly watching both of them, i hadn't actually heard of the 300 until it was mentioned earlier in this thread gotta say though the idea of having to sit through 2 hours of men with no shirts.... daunting, if they could atlead have a toga or something... Also Live free or die hard (i've been ignoring looking into this movie because i was so annoyed that they had used die hard in the name until recently that i found out that its die hard 4, i cant believe that i didn't hear that it was coming out) I would also like to mention how happy i am at the flop that is Eragon, LOL, i have been slinging sh!* at that movie for month's saying how its a discrace and how it will flop and it has and nothing could make me happier. Well maybe seeing a movie that doesn't have Hugh Jackman in it... (Not insulting Hugh Jackman i believe he is a great actor, i mean he's wolverine... But the man is in everything) BLASFOMY (i think i spelt that right) but seriously the Transformers graphics are top notch, go on apple.com/trailers (i believe thats the site it may be a bit off...) i mean optimus prime transforming the in city street looks phenominal. 4. OMFG how could it have not been mentioned yet? Nena - 99 Luftballoons Goldfinger - 99 red balloons (on the same note as Nena) Mike Oldfield - Tubular bells Eskimo Joe - Sarah The Killers - Bones Jet - Shine On Blink 182 - Stay together for the kids/Pathetic Lily Allen - Alfie The Decemberists - O Valencia Regina Spektor - On the radio Wolfmother - White Unicorn/Mother The Fray - How to save a life Greenskeepers - Lotion (It rub's the lotion on its skin, or its gets the hose again - classic) Also - Lordi - Would you love a monsterman, i like the song (dont love it) but just the pure stupidity of it, its billiant. 5. The technique used was absolutely briliant, it really add's to the movie, rather than just using a special effect for the sake of using it. Keanu Reeve's acting, well theres only one word for it - "woah" Robert Downy Jr. incredible acting Winona Ryder, not so much, although it didnt seem as though the acting would have taken too much for her role. But i feel as though Robert Downy Jr. really nailed the part along with Reeve's. As for story line, although it parts it left you a bit dry and wondering the entire story came to a great conclusion leaving no loose threads (theres nothing worse than a movie that leaves you hanging) Overall - 9.5/10 - The movie is amazing (it's a real shame that the movie wasn't bigger and better publicised because i loved it) Black Flat
  6. As good as the Predator and Alien heads look, i dont know how anyone can justify spending that much money on dvd's, for example the predator head is $280 AUD, i mean for 3 movies that you can pick up for a tenner each, hardly seems worth it, and i havn't seen a alien head for a LONG time. Ah to have money to splurge like that, i've gotta get myself a plasma for my bedroom (im sick of having to walk all the way to the lounge to watch a movie) before i worry about things like those. 7. This movie is aweful, but i do disagree with most people. I dont think that it's often enough that a random bunch of people burst in to well coreographed song and dance routines, seriously when did i miss that class in school. And i think that it's fairly obvious the quality of movie it is when you watch a single scene of their dreadful acting why this movie never made it to the cinema's, it's fairly obvious (or atleast i hope) that these people were dancers/singers before they were actors/actresses because if not, they are going to have a short lived career. The cold hard truth. Black Flat
  8. Any movie with a date TBA, hasn't been announced yet, only speculations can be made with knowledge of how far along the movie is as well as how long the movie is held for (post production). I am making the assumption that Rambo IV will come out around the 21st of december 2007, if not then, then i presume the date will be about the 25th of May 2008. btw although the majority of those movies are sequal's there are a few select ones that arn't. And the reason i believe that these movies are the most likely to take off is because currently the biggest movies are sequal's or movies based on comics/graphic novels (i presume that in the next couple of years about 75% of the big movies, 100M plus, will fall under one or both of these catagories) Black Flat
  9. I'd like to add Will Smith's upcoming 2007 movie to my list. It's virtually guarenteed to be sucsessful due to his consistancy for only taking big roles in movies that he loves. The movie is called I Am Legend and is due out 21/09/07, co stars include Salli Richardson and Smith's daughter Willow, 6. (The Pursuit of Happyness comes out in australia virtually in 2007, and so i'll add that to my list, a drama based on the life of Christopher Gardner, with his son Jaden, 8, as his co-star.) 10. Your half right, i didn't put the simpsons movie on my shortlist because IMO it's not a movie, it's a movie length episode. The fox bigshots should have let the simpsons die out gracefully 2 or 3 years ago instead of turning it into this dreary humor lacking half hour dribble that they are producing now. Not wanting to rip on the simpsons too much as i do love the show (in earlier seasons) it should never had been pushed towards the big screen, as Matt Groening (excuse the spelling i do not know how to correctly spell his name) once said "my goal is to make 365 episodes and call it quit's, and episode a day for every day of the year, no more, no less" Black flat
  11. Most of the band's i like are pritty comercial but to name a few: Blink 182 (mainly their early work in chesheir cat and buddah excuse spelling) The Killers, The Darkness, Lordi, Gnar, HIM, The Decemberists, i dabble in a bit of Ragina Spektor and Lily allen too. Black Flat
  12. Well i've compiled a short list of what i believe will be the biggest movie's of 2007, and i wanted to know what you were looking forward to most in 2007. Here is the short list of the big upcoming 2007 movies : Next - 28/09/07 Alien vs. Predator : Survival of the Fittest - 21/12/07 Castlevania - TBA Day of the Dead - -/04/07 Fantastic Four : Rise of the Silver Surfer ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 15/06/07 Resident Evil : Extinction ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 21/09/07 National Treasure 2 : The Book of Secrets ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 21/12/07 Rambo IV : Pearl of the Corba ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ TBA Rush Hour 3 ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 10/08/07 Sin City 2 ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ TBA Stir of Echoes: The Dead Speak ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ TBA Transformers ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 04/06/07 Shrek the Third ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 18/05/07 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 13/07/07 Pirates of the Caribbean: At WorldÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s End ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 25/05/07 Spider-Man 3 ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 04/05/07 Basically i want to see all of the above (with the exceptions of National Treasure 2 and rush hour 3) All will surely be huge movies (i expect each of these movies to blitz the 100 million mark with the exception on Next, adapted from the book written by Phillip K. [bleep] and possibly the stir of echoes sequal) So reiterated once again, what are you looking forward to in 2007? It doesn't have to have made the quick shortlist that i've compiled or even have to be a big movie. Personally i'm most looking forward to Next and Castlevania shortly followed by Sin City 2 as i'm a HUGE frank miller fan along with Day of the Dead. Black Flat
  13. My attempt, like evilperson i spent around 20 minutes on this... I'm happy with it and i dont really wanna over do it... Great photo by the way. Black Flat

  15. Well i am possibly the strangest person in the world so i'll describe my dream here as it would take far too long to draw... Just to get this straight at the start, i am a 18 year old guy read on at your own discression... There I was walking down the street talking to a freind of mine (female), la la la la la, turn to talk to her AND SHES TURNED INTO A ZOMBIE... i got all freaked out so i started running when i bumped into some of me other mates (male) told them what happened and they freaked, then I ran into a few other girls and it turned out every girl in the world had turned into zombies... So i made a run for the nearest house, broke the door down and ran inside, soon about 5 girls (all friends of mine) all followed me in, well it turns out that movies are wrong, zombies dont like to eat brains, infact they dont like to talk, have a sook or watch chick flicks either... all they wanted to do is cook, bring me beer, watch tv with me and well... achem..... so turns out movies are wrong, zombies dont want brains they want... to make men happy. would take far too long to do in paint, i may turn it into a comic book one day...
