Seekin advice on whether to wear Bandos armor or Armadyl armor.

I melee but can you tell me as to why Bandos would be the preferred melee armor. -
Bandos and Armadyl chestplate have the same defense bonuses (429), life bonuses (1680), and Prayer bonuses (1), but Armadyl has better defense towards magic. I want to know which is the better all around aromor for any situation. Thanks
