wo0o0ah this post was old but so many items are dropping in price now. we are talking about holiday drop items and there decreasing bigtime. Any thoughts? The lottery idea is cool but if they want to do anything like that, they cant have to many "give-away" events because it defeats the whole purpose of skilling and strategy in my opinion, though it would be nice to win 4 m =P~

I just got members yesterday on my level 50 pure. Hes 40 attack, 62 strength, 1 defence, and 1 magic. I dont know what items to buy because it seems like all the items are for higher levels, what are good things to have? And since im 1 magic do i have to walk everywhere, is there shortcuts? 1 more thing, i heard rock crabs are good to train on but there past camelot and i dont see a bank by them, so would i have to take an hour walk everytime i need more lobbs or somthing? ya i remeber selling a santa for 250k and now they like 13mill+ But it doesnt matter too much right? Its just a game... I don't see how it stopped new players from joining... I could, however, see it stopping people from making new accounts ansd getting many holiday items... Actually - they were origanally invented to show/symoblise how long a player has/was playing for. IF thats the case thats mentally challenged because ive played longer than ALOT of people playing now, if anyone remembers when P hats were 100 k and r2hswere 500 k , and the PINK (now known as purple) p hat was 500 k, thats how long ive been playing. 4 years+ i donno exaclty, and i still get called a noob lol They were infact invented to symbolized the leangth a player had been playing. The fact that they became a symbol of wealth is a side effect of the fact that Jagex decided to make them tradeable (bad-idea). and the only reason you probly dont have is because you weren't there to recieve those items on those days. I would be a hypocrit if i said i wouldn't do that, because i would :lol: but I dont think we are meant to make our money by manipulating the market and following its prices, our wealth should be displayed and gathered by the skills we raise and the goals we accomplish. I can't say for sure weather or not they ruin the economy because i have never seen it run "properly". Party hats are not useless, even though it was probably never their intent they now symbolize wealth. Think of it this way, Party hats are like gold in real life, why get gold when steel will do? Thats a good point. The first holiday item they made untradable was easter bunny ears right? I noticed I dont see to many people wearing them anymore, Im thinking because the ones who did get, have quit. The P hats have rose because of the same reason, only people quit from maybe getting tired of the game? 2 reasons why santas and masks are rising--- Price manipulaters as well as people also wanting to buy new rares and other people keeping in bank hoping they'll rise.

They do, im jus mad because I sold my blue for 6.2 right after rs2 came out and quit, then came back and all the P hats were over 100 mill.

I cant belive party hats are over 100 M. I remember probably around 4 years ago, back in rs1 (now known as classic), party hats went for as low as 200k, and at the same time r2hs were 500 k, pink party hats were aswell. Now there over 100 times that, why? They do look cool, they are an *old* item, but they dont show anything because they are tradable, anyone could get one if they had 100 M. It takes a long LONGGGGGGG time to merchant 100m, i know from experience (still havnt reached my goal yet) A little bit after rs2 came out I sold my blue P hat for 6.2 M, I even have a screen shot to prove it. Now there over 100 M. This probably means Santa hats and Halloween masks will be eventually rising that high too right? that wasnt my point though, what im trying to say is ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ITS JUST CRAZY

which makes more money... mining rune essence or having 66 fletching and fletching arrows... or merchanting ( currently have 11.5 m )
