  1. I figured it's one of those things you should never take literally, more like Serial Experiments Lain than NGE. I thought of it as a comparison of imagination and reality; the fact that what Ophelia imagined actually became real when she died could be an argument that the imagination, even though it's insubstantial, is the only way that we can each perceive reality. That reality is impossible without the imagination, and that because of the imagination everyone's reality is truly different instead of their being any one cohesive proof of what is real and what isn't. Come to think of it this would be an excellent topic for an essay.

  2. The thing about Dan Brown's books is that they all follow the exact same plot. So, if they change stuff around, maybe they'll be able to improve on the author a bit. After reading four books I gave up; it was like G.A. Henty except not as prolific. #-o

  3. I used my little brother and sister as an excuse to go watch Bolt. It was awesome.

    The Mist.

I read the book before watching the movie and the ending really surprised me, in my opinion the movie's ending is better than the book's.

I really like the way the made the aliens (or whatever they are) look, too. Pretty good movie :D

They did that with The Secret Window as well, give a different ending than the book. It was really interesting to compare the two.

  4. I just read Sidooh, by Tsutomu Takahashi. Gentaro Yukimura is the most badass samurai ever. :shame: 31 chapters ongoing.[hide=]gentarojz7.png[/hide]PS: Is there any particular reason why half the people on this thread write "animu" instead of "anime"? <3:

I got bored and watched Hellsing, it's actually pretty cool. Big-[wagon] guns, vampires... what could possibly go wrong?
Yeah Hellsing was sweet. Then Alexander Anderson came along and it became insanely awesome.

I wanted to tear my teeth out after the first episode of Hellsing Ultimate though, which is a rather weird sentiment to experience.

  5. The constant fear that you're forgetting something, causing you to consistantly re-research facts so that you're fully informed.

for example, i have an exam, this thursday, at 2pm

i have quite literially looked at my exam schedule about 10 times a day just to make sure what i knew is what i knew

Also the dreams that leave you wondering if it was a dream. Ties into the previous fear quite nicely when you think you overslept and missed your exam

Especially when you wake up and it's only tuesday...

I could have used one of those. I missed a due date on a final project last week and watched my grade go from a 93.8% to a 73.8%. Actually, when that sunk in probably qualifies as one of the scariest moments of my life, if we're counting "holy crap how the hell did that happen?!!" moments.
