  1. Keyword here is making. A merchant doesen't really make money. They just manipulate and hoard it, contributing nothing to the economy. Someone who practice skills adds items and gp to the game, which is in everybodys interest. Exactly, the only ways to make money are: Sell to store, getting from coin drops, random events giving coins or alching. Other ways (mining, merchanting, woodcutting) are money moving How is mining money moving? By mining, you are effectively creating ores that were not there. If I mined a Runite ore, there would be one more Runite ore on Runescape, therefore creating money.
  2. Well, this is quite funny because yesterday I came accross something similar. I was training prayer in Champ's Guild because chickens are easy prey, when some level 63 (2 levels under me), turns up with a bow and arrow. We fight in tandem for a bit, then he goes: "Do you have arrows?", to which I say no. Then he goes on about how he's running out, and has no money to buy more. I ask him how it's possible for a Lvl 63 to not have money for arrows. He says that he only trains, and doesn't know how to make money. So, I gave him 6K in the end, and he was as happy as pie. The moral of this story is that a combat level doesn't make you a fantastic player.
  3. fadetogreen I like the idea of being able to tell clans apart, since most clans run around in full rune with rune scimmys
