  1. nah r2hs were 50 - 60k quite a while before the release of rs2.
  2. Yea if i only went back to the screen just a few seconds earlier things would have been different. But it's happened now i guess. Jon. I added you on msn btw bullykutta.
  3. Yes, i'm legit, which of course is why it makes it all the more annoying that a random event killed me. An autotyper probably picked it up
  4. Well Lord_Muijs i don't drink tea, quite frankly it tastes like coffee to me, which is also horrible, i just wanted to chat with a few mates.
  5. That's not what i'm saying, random events were originally created to deter people from autoing, contrary to popular belief they weren't just put there to take people's hard earned cash. Like with sleeping bags, apparently they were supposed to add more realism to the game and randoms are thought to be a fun addition by jagex, in fact there are more of these available to members, including the strange plant - how hilarious, i think u'd agree
  6. Sorry i did not reply, i have been taking a break over christmas. I did contact jagex intially but only to recieve a reply which was vaguely related to my query which in part stated "you will be able to quickly gain the majority of items that have been lost, perhaps even better ones." (Yep, like that isn't a load of .........) Or an automated response telling me to become a member even though i allready was. All in all, i would say jagex have delivered relatively poor customer support, although i expected them to answer in the nature they did, i would have at least liked a response which was personal rather than a general statement about losses of items, after all a lot of us are paying customers and you are entitled to a proper service. If i start to play again, i will probably just create a new character and work his range level up, although i will have to go through the boring process of earning money again. That's the problem with this game, you have to go through a period of boredom before you actually have fun, i thought i'd finished with that... obviously not, looks like it's time to start again, or is it even worth it? Jon.
  7. Well, i would return to the window at the sound of combat however 1- my earphones are usually plugged in after playing counterstrike or another similar game. 2- I play low detail more often than not now, especially on more occupied servers such as world 2. In regards to the length of the conversation; it couldn't have been more than a few minutes, the random must have appeared at virtually the exact time i swopped windows for me not to notice it. In regards to jagex: Nope, no luck. They would rather have me quit, all i recieved was an automated message and during all the time i played i think i must have only ever recieved one personal reply (and i am not even sure it was) and that was only because i was helping them solve a bug problem in the early days of rs2. All in all, it's just pretty damned annoying because of the fact that random's were implemented into the game to stop autoers and i do not auto. And yes i think it might have been a chicken myself... i really hate chickens now :( Jon.
  8. Standing in world 2 falador. I'm wearing a white phat and selling a blue mask which is in my inventory along with a stack of cash. Noticing all the auto-typers standing around me I think to myself; why do these people not get punished, surely auto-typing is not tolerated? Any way, I type a few times, killing my fingers as I try to compete with the people clearly autoing - they're typing a full line of text that's wavy and it's got a different colour every 3 seconds. Someone starts chatting to me on msn so we have a brief conversation. I return to the Runescape window only to discover the familiar, quite frankly depressing, message - "oh dear you are dead". I've seen this message plenty of times, in the wilderness or fighting a tough monster perhaps, but when I was standing in the market? I can't quite believe it; I check my inventory and find I have lost my items except the three 'best' ones. It could only have been a random event. Now correct me if IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m wrong these random events were originally created to deter people from autoing and not to rob people of 3 and a half years of wealth. If I was autoing I would accept this but I did nothing wrong to deserve this penalisation! I send a support query and receive no reply except the auto message. I respect that the customer support team is busy but I am a paying customer, am i expected to spend months.. years of boredom regaining my items? Where is the justice? I have been loyal to this game and this is how IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m repaidÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ Any ideas about what i should do now? Thanks, jon.
