iv got no ideas for you but what you have so far is great

your right, its kinda *cough* bad um.... i dont think that you can make it look good go with a pixil sig, they look much better

well...... even though the light source is in the center, the shadows still arent correct, the ranger and the 2 tree shadows are wrong, the rangers shadow should be more at the angle that the tree above him is, the tree above the ranger should have a shadow thats more at the angle of the ranger's, and the left tree's shadow should be at an angle in between where it is now and the angle of the sword's also the spell does look kinda strange/bad and the trees are small and one side of the sword should be darker than the other b/c of shadow and there should be bricks in the walls and the arrow heads are too small and put a shiny spot on the orb and use a different program to put the text on, putting text on with just plain paint tends to look like you havent put time into it well... i think thats all but i do think that you did a good job over all, its obvious that youve got talent, but there is always room to improve for everyone and since the dimensions are too big you will probly end up doing the whole thing over, the biggest it can be is 150 tall and 300 wide

CC: make the heads less round and more oval/egg shaped, heads arent perfect circles or maybe im being dumb and thats how they are supposed to be other than that, Great Job!!

plain old mspaint with some paint shop pro 7 thrown in

i mostly use plain mspaint, it should come on your computer if you have microsoft and for complicated effects i use paint shop pro, i have #7 but they r up to #9, its like $100 for the latest version (i think)
