ok no pennies, but if i wanted to make a radiator for a watercooled pc could i use those, coiling copper tubing around a copper core, and building a spool thing out of pennies?

my dad wants to use it at work, and will not be able to handle linuix.

it runs, but it lag like heck. you think with ME i could play mp3 cds with it, and do exel on it without too much skipping or lag

i could just solder the OLD pennies together and cover in aluminum foil,m and use arctic silver. and pennies made before are 1980ish are 98% copper. now they 98% zinc, and 2% copper.

Thanks but i already have ME on disk from a gateway. I want to try to install on the other one, but i want to reinstall on the gateway, you know- make it like new

it opens, and even spins up when i put a disk in it, but it won't recognise anyting. there must be some comunication with motherboard, because i can tell it to open with the "eject" command, and it will. I almost think the laser module, may be fried, or maybe it isn't getting enough power to spin up to cd speed. as for warranty we broke the sticker so it is shot. even before that our warrany expired.

some of my computers have realy &%&y processors, and probaly fsbs. i am considering overclocking as a cheap altrenative to getting them new processors ( and motherboard, and everything else too). what are the basic needs of overclocking? definitely copper heatsinks. would copper pennies soldered together work well? also they probaly dont have any more power cords (due to $&%y power supply). is there a way to get a wall outlet fan to cool the pc.? what kind of percentage ex overclocked/ normal * 100 = i checked, and both motherboards have the fsb, and processor speeds locked. :evil: i cant find the multiplier, or v core, and vdimm anywhere. how can i unlock them. :wall: also my parents want to save this for a rainy day.

one of my computers sucks &*$. simplified specs. 199mhz amd processor 128 single channel ram 1.51 gig hdd. eithernet addapter NO USB what looks like onboard sound probally onboard video running windows xp pro :boohoo: :boohoo: :boohoo: i want to put windows me on it, because we don't have the xp pro disk,and windows me came first so it would make sense if it had lower running requirements. do you think that if i installed ME on it that it would be capeable of running exel, and using mediaplayer to play mp3 cds. would i have to overclock by a signigicant ammount? i've been having problems with my dvd drive lately. it seems like it started when my dad took the computer apart to put in a new fan that he ended up returning. he took apart the power supply a little :wall: , and sprayed the @*$& out of it with compressed air (computer duster). I forget if he unpluged any cables, but he wore our little grounded wrist strap. It wont read read any disks. Microsoft doesn't have any new drivers for it. gateway doesn't have any drivers for it. it spins up and makes a grinding noise, then stops. when i click on it through my computer it says to insert a disk. i figured it was a driver issue, like on my other computer, but when i try to update the driver, it says the only one is installed. so i went to gateway's website, and downloaded and ran their little driver finder thing. I told it to look in the E: drive, and put in the driver disk. it just found a driver for the SR-8587. i figured that was close enough, and installed it. after reboot i went do device manager, and it had disappeared. so i did a system restore, and all was well. i was geting desprate so i put in the driver disk, and opened it. I try to do a (restore) it tells me to click restart. when i do it opens the dvd drive (secondary master) and tells me to put the disk in that drive. i do and it just brings up an error. i don't know if i should make it the secondary slave, and make my functioning cd drive the secondary master until i can reinstall windows ME. will it come to reinstalling the Os. i plan to, but my parents want to wait for a "rainy day." please help. :pray: :pray: :pray:

actualy labor laws are 16 in my state so that makes me 13. oh, and they will blow me off with so called "normal comunication". they won't even listen. of corse they didn't even read my email i dont think. i printed it, and left it at their place at the kitchen table. i havent seen it since. probally just threw it away. it realy annoys me that they just blow me off. they use the excuse that "we didn't have a computer in our room when we were your age". well were there computers available that were smaller then a room back then? i don't think so.

i think child labor laws are inforced so i'me sunk for 3 years. anyway, i'le try to sell candy on my bus. and my tv was probaly made in the late 1980s. lol coaxel. oh but i recieve chanel 3 always news, and pixelaly, but hey.
