  1. I'm surprised that I haven't seen a thread about this seeing as how the game has been out for more than two weeks so I decided to make a thread.

If you didn't already know, DOA4 is the first fighting game for the Xbox 360 and is an absolutely AMAZING game. Team Ninja did everything right with this game(exept for the occasional clipping and online glitches). The game is hard if you're new to the series. They've toughened up the AI so you're going to need to practice. But believe me, this is one of the best games(if not the best game) out for the 360 right now. The online has a bit of lag and there are some leaderboard glitches but it'll be fixed within the coming weeks. If you want to play a few games with me, my gamertag is Papickett.

  2. -360(The 14 hours in front of Best Buy was worth it)

    -A katana

    -$20 Blockbuster gift card

    -A watch

    -Clothing...

-Star Wars Episodes 1-3 on DVD

    -Star Wars Battlefront 2(Xbox)

    -2 movie tickets

    -$50

-Batman: The Movie(with ADAM WEST!!! I don't know why I got this...)

    -Some other stuff

  3. 1. Yes. Because not all of its games are ports (I'm looking at you PSP)

    2. Basically, you need a wireless router or a USB adaptor that can be bought off of the Nintendo Wi-fi site.

    3. Where to start:

    -Super Mario 64 DS

    -Wario Ware: Touched

    -Advance Wars: Dual Strike

    -Castlevania DS

-Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time

    -Mario Kart: DS

    -Animal Crossing: Wild World

Don't even bother with the PSP. There's no need to buy one.

Well, i have a PSP and DS.

The only thing the DS has is Mario Kart, which is good.

But, all said and done, PSP > DS.

    Better graphics.

    Better games.

    More capabilities.

    PSP, PSP, PSP,

    Is the place to be!

    Don't forget about:

    -Viruses

-All games being able to be bought on consoles

-The fact that you can buy a DVD for cheaper than UMDs and have more features on the DVD

-I'm just going to stop there

    Now what is this?

no contest its ps3!!!! i mean cmon with my mods on my ps2 i can play rs on it and surf the net yes im a ps2 h4x0r and proud of it im a die hard ps fan because it h as more games and way more rpgs on it the crappy xbox. the only reason i had a xbox was for halo and now i got it on my pc so die xbox

1)It's not like the Xbox can't be modded stupid.

2)Just because it has more games doesn't mean it has more good games. Quality>Quantity.

3)So you like RPGs eh? And that automatically makes it better than any other system because magically, your word has become the law by which everyone must abide?

4)This is a RS vs. 360 thread. Please do not drag your PS3 and your stupidity into this.

  5. It seems like Mario Kart DS has the potential to do the same to this system as Tetris did to the original Gameboy. Does anyone know if there's a bundle out yet? Christmas is coming up soon...

Yea. You can get a red Nintendo DS with a copy of Mario Kart DS now.

  6. *walks back*

    People don't u get it?.....................................

ITS ALL ABOUT HE PLAYSATION 3!!!!!!!

It's a shame that we haven't seen any REAL games on the system. It's all been pre-rendered. But this is another arguement for another time.

I don't see how the Xbox 360 can possibly form a real threat to Jagex.

I won't deny that every single game on the 360 will be better in graphics dan runescape, probably a better story, maybe even bigger, etc etc. But what about the huge community Runescape has got? I have a PS2 , and considering that the max players i ever saw online (socom 2, by far the most popular online game) was around 4000 - 5000. I can't tell on Xbox, but since you have to pay and there are more PS2's sold then Xbox's, the number on Xbox is even less...

Now with the Xbox360 , some people will buy it, coz it's next gen, or because they just like it. But imho it's to early to be next-gen, what's it got to offer that's so next generation except for kickass graphics? Not much imho, but that's a totaly different discussion.

Back to the point , if RS2 members buy the 360, it might lower their RS attention for some time, if not completely. But just bear in mind that many people with consoles are steel teenagers, who can play both. And if they have a Xbox 360 and RS2 membership, they probably can keep both as well... (no real financial issues), so jagex won't feel anything there if you ask me...

And if they have to choose , I wouldn't go for the xbox live, and I think I'm not alone , since Runescape is a garantuee of entertainement for me , and on the 360 you'll be depending on what games are there, and how many people are wanting to play them, which is a concern you don't have with rs ....

Not the best structure in this text, you may think it's real BS , but hey, it's a bit late for me, although I would like to express my opinion :P

1)This isn't about competition between XBL and RS, it's simply a decision on which one to buy. One really has no effects on the other. It's like saying you aren't going to buy a TV because you already have a microwave.

2)What's so next-gen about the 360 you say? Well what was so next gen about the Gamecube in comparison to the N64 or the PS2 in comparison to the PS1? No offense but graphics are really the main thing that people think of when they hear the words "next-gen". Guess what, the 360 is adding more than just graphics to their next system. There is a HUGE expansion to the online features (refer to my first post), HD compatibility for every game, customizable faceplates (well that's kinda stupid), DVD9 disc format, and the list goes on from there.

3)The online community for the Xbox is alot larger than the RS community. There are far more people suscribed to XBL than there are suscribed to RS members. There were already over 1,000,000 people suscribed to XBL before Halo2 even came out. I can't imagine how many more people have suscribed since then.

4)You're not seeing the point. No matter what type of game you play, you will find an active community for it on XBL. The thing about XBL is that you aren't hindered by just one game, you have many different choices. When you pay for RS, you have one choice, a MMORPG. On the other hand, when you pay for XBL you have MMORPG, Racing, FPS, Action, Sports, Platforming, Fighting, Strategy and many other types of games offered to you. If you get bored of one, you can just play another without being charged anything extra.

  7. as long as a game as a certain standard of graphics, they dont really determine my decision. rs is alot cheaper and, in my opinion, lasts longer becasue the x-box 360 wil be replaced by something else just like the original xb has been today with the 360's release

First of all, XBL is cheaper ($50 a year as opposed to $60 a year for RS). If you are comparing the system itself to RS, that's a little unfair. That computer you are playing it on probably wasn't free now was it? Secondly, of course it will be replaced. Everything has to be replaced sometime as technology progresses. All systems will be replaced (ex. PS3, Revolution). Even your computer is replaced every once in a while.

    PS2 RULES :D

    jk

but seriously PS2 Games much better than XBox games or GameCube games.. and even there is many many games on ps2..

but still xbox is better than gamecube.. :D

And the award for the most idiotic, close-minded statement of the day goes to you!

    *gives a cookie*

Thread creator, I have advice for you: the next time you want advice about picking one thing or another, don't go to a forum that is totally biased towards one thing for an answer (ex. going to an Xbox forum and asking whether you should buy a PS2 or an Xbox).

  8.

I'll wait until the PS3 comes out, then the 360's price'll plummet. Don't you love dodgy business tactics?

When's the release date for the PS3?

Tomorrow happensto be a PD even though we've already had one this month. I guess its good timeing seeing as many of my friends said they were going to skip to play their new 360's.

On a side note: What games are available for the 360 tomorrow? The only one I've heard about is the new perfect dark.

    1) The PS3 is supposed to come out spring 2006 but I highly doubt it will make it to stores until 2007.

    2)Launch titles:

    ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâ÷ Amped 3 (2K Sports)

ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâ÷ Call of Duty 2 (Activision)

    ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâ÷ Condemned: Criminal Origins (SEGA)

    ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâ÷ NBA 2K6 (2K Sports)

ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâ÷ NBA Live 06 (Electronic Arts)

    ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâ÷ NHL 2K6 (2K Sports)

ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâ÷ Need for Speed: Most Wanted (Electronic Arts)

ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâ÷ Perfect Dark Zero (Microsoft Game Studios)

ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâ÷ Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie(Ubisoft)

I'm very pissed off that DOA4 has been delayed until December.

I will be getting a 360 tommorow but I won't be buying any games until DOA4 comes out.

  9. Does anybody have this? I just bought it last friday and it is so much fun. The wi-fi play is the icing on the cake though I was dissapointed that you couldn't play battle mode online. The DS finally has it's killer ap. Everybody needs to check this game out.

  10.

wow.. anyone who hates xbox can just kill themselves now... u are all lemme say here.. F4gs? Little british losers who dont like xbox cuz they like to plaY runeeeescape the 2bit graphic game that has no meaning ...

    24 hardcore

may i remind you that britain isnt the country everyone hates nowadays - america is

I'm guessing America is hated because of stupid people like him. I actually never recall Britain ever being hated exept back in the 1770s.

Btw sleets, you spelled pwns incorrectly...

Runescape obviously. I'd rather spend about ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã3.00 per month playong a decent online RPG than splashing out ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã300 on a crap console that is the same as the original Xbox which was poor anyway, but with better graphics.

I don't get it. You should take a good long look at RS before you call the Xbox crap. Now I know most of you are about to attack me so let me clear this up. I'm not attacking RS's graphics at all which you probably think I am. I don't have a $3000 pc either and I appreciate Jagex for offering me a game that doesn't require one. If you look at the game though, you can see that it is clearly average in every possible way. The only thing that sets it above most others is its ability to addict you like no other.

XBL, on the other hand, is offering something new and unique. I don't love my Xbox because of its power, I love it because of the community(Halo 2 aside) it has established. That's why I'm planning to get a 360, because it is expanding on what I love the most, the community. I love jumping in to a game online and just screwing around and talking to people rather than playing the game. I have met so many intresting people from all over the world that I would have never met without XBL. And now, with the 360, we are going to see even more of that.

    You can:

-Upload photos, music, videos and so on and share them with your friends.

-Send invites to your XBL friends while you are watching the movie to watch it with you over XBL.

-Video chat(Which could be potentially dangerous)

-Staking REAL money in some online matches.

-Marketplace that I don't know much about but I'm looking forward to it anyway.

-Play Games Online(I know what you're thinking. No freaking way!)

Now let's see what RS offers:

    -1 average online game

It is pretty clear that the 360 will offer more "bang for your buck"

    2. Graphics

    .... DUHHHHHHH lol

    *sigh*

Just a warning though: If you plan on playing Halo 2 on XBL, make sure you stop yourself at all costs. Halo 2 always seems to bring out the worst in people.

I'm tired of typing for now.

  11. Go for XBL it offers more/better games to play on the network and it's cheaper.

wow.. anyone who hates xbox can just kill themselves now... u are all lemme say here.. F4gs? Little british losers who dont like xbox cuz they like to plaY runeeeescape the 2bit graphic game that has no meaning ...

People like you are the reason I don't play Halo2 online. The Halo 2 Community is worse than RS.

Just out of curiosity, how many modder friends do you have?
